I am merging 5 exposures and viewing in SDR, I am just using the lattitude of the HDR DNG file for editing.

I'm having trouble pin pointing an issue I have. I've recently switched my HDR workflow from Photomatix to processing HDR directly in LR for more flexability. When I used Photomatix it provided TIFF files for me to edit, and I could take any image into Photoshop for speciality editing, save it, and it updates perfectly in LR without any color or gamma shifts. Now, while I am editing these Lightroom HDR photos (in SDR Preview, I am not delivering HDR files) and I send an image to photoshop it will come in flat and without my edits (it's a 32-bit file inside of PS) and I cannot do my work in Photoshop and return to LR with my original adjustments intact. What part of this workflow am I missing? Thanks everyone!

I can replicate the OP's exact issue - Nikon Z9 files on latest LR release on an M1 Mac. Definetely a bug in the new release. Please dont try to "educate" me on how RAW files and/or Lightroom work - I most likely have been doing this longer than you.

Great - do you care to elaborate how to do this? Because currently I can only select one file at a time from the files app.

When adding files from my device to Creative Cloud on the Android app (I haven't tried others) it only lets me select one file at a time. Is there a workaround for this?

After reeviewing several 3rd party Lightroom workflow plugins such as Motibodo and Phixer, it seems they have enabled a funtion to assign a keyboard shortcut to select brush presets and develop presets. I'm aware that Motibodo is using Keyboard Maerstro to run some functions. Does anyone know how this is accomplished? In the Motibodo example videos it doesnt appear to be using a "mouse over" function to access the preset panel, as the mouse position never moves. See an example at 2:30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftih7s5YeEw&t=2s

Ah yes. ETTR. All the rage circa 2010-2013 which is when all of these articles were written. Have you used a modern digital sensor like a Nikon D850 or Z9? Regardless, none of it makes your statement make any more sense. Your camera is spitting out a JPG preview no matter what is being written to your card - so shooting RAW + JPG isn't causing your RAW to be "massively underexposed". Yeah, every camera I've used in the past 15 years spit out RAW files that are a little underexposed. Who cares? I'll take properly exposed highlights before the "recovered highlight" look any day. Pixel peeping non-existent issues thankfully isn't my hobby because it doesnt pay the bills. Expanding Lightroom functionality, which is what this post was about, actually does.

I appreciate the response, I'm a professional photographer who's fully aware of how raw files work. "Shooting raw+JPEG is really bad for one reason: you're massively under exposing the raw" has no basis in reality - at least with any camera I've ever used. Why state the EV would be any different shooting RAW vs RAW+JPG? It's madness. I would like to know why you think stacking these images is a bad idea. For the workflow I described there is literally no better option than what I presented without an overhaul of the library module. My workflow is 100% raw 100% of the time - this RAW + JPG request is for creating contact sheets as well as quickly processing personal shots of the family.

Thank you, but I read those instructions and that's literally what I did by creating this thread.

Why do we have to do this? Why was this change implemented with no warning and no way to fix it wirthout a convoluted and somewhat advanced "hack" to get back to normal opertation? I'm starting to regret everytime I update an Adobe app - I don't want to play "I.T." when I'm trying to just do my job and get home to my family.

This started out of nowhere after updating to PS 2022 and is intensely frustrating. Every image that I open in PS displays as a cropped window, forcing me to hit command+ (which sizes to 200%) and then command- to get it to 100% at a proper window size. It's tedious and annoying - can anyone pinpoint what changed in the update to cause this?

I've done some searching and I'm finding it hard to beleive that the clunkiness of organizing and editing RAW + JPG images has never really been improved over the years. Most users are just finding "workarounds" for LR shortcomings. When treating RAW + JPG as separate photos (which I am doing) why can't I have the pairs properly stacked? Auto stack by capture time (set to zero seconds) does not work because of burst shooting. Why can't there be an "Auto-Stack by File Name" or "Auto-Stack RAW + JPG"?
My preferred workflow sometimes for would be to sort/edit through a gallery of JPG's and have the RAW handy in the stack in case I need to pull more dynamic range or white balance on a specific shot. So far this isn't possible without manually creating your stacks, or fixing the stacked burst sequences. Seems like a simple thing that can be implemented. Even a simple check box in the already existing "Auto-Stack" dialoge for stacking JPG pairs would be so simple.

Also a wedding photog here - I'm fine with heavy process times. I can let the AI run on a wide selection of images and go do something else around the studio. Having to do it manually (while amazing) is just utterly painful. I hope it gets implemented regardless of the compute resources it takes because it will never be worse than the time it takes to manually do it. Plus if it's too much for a user, they just wont use it... fine.

What if I want to show all masks in a comp? I want to see all masks from all layers at one time, while creating a new mask.
