I've recently been through 6 techs regarding not being able to activate my CS6 purchased program. Long story short, no one could help me, I had tried all of the various methods. An error window kept coming up saying I was off-line, and/or my clock was wrong. Neither of these were true.  When I tried activation Off-Line, Adobe kept telling me I had the Serial No. wrong (not true). I was so frustrated I was ready to scream, and then last night as I was yet again sifting through the Adobe site I ran across a line that said my CS6 would activate when Adobe sensed that I had gone online--which made me remember that some websites work better in a different browser.  I had been using Google Chrome on my new Windows 8 computer.  Here's what finally made the activation window pop up:  I closed Chrome, opened Photoshop, then launched Internet Explorer...the error window started to pop up then changed to the sign-in window for activation!!!  This, after days and many hours with techs who could not figure out why I could not activate my program.  I wish I could scrawl a note in their binders for them.  Such a simple remedy, based only on a past experience.  Experience PAYS!    Patti/GlamourShots

It is difficult to comprehend that the tech's did not recommend changing browsers.  That is usually the first piece of advice offered on the users' forum.

Wow! and I went over-minutes with those people, hours on the phone, days of

super intense unhappiness with Adobe. 'Good to know I was able to solve

the problem myself...did I mention I'm 70? 'So proud of myself!!! Thanks!

Our combined age is 140 then.  Many reports of online help being frustrating and time consuming as they seem to follow a script that does not allow creative thinking.  An each one seems to start over at step 1.

Yes to all you've said. There is one scripted sentence they all have said

to me and is obviously common usage among them ALL (the techs): *"I'm

sorry, I do not have the expertise for this type of problem"* (with an

invite to continue wasting time with another tech at another time AFTER

they've left me hanging many times while looking up the next thread that

might lead to a solution). They do need a note in their binders about this

'browser' solution. But hey, they're in a country with an 18 hr. time

difference and start their shifts at weird times to accommodate PST

5a.m.-7p.m. customer service hours. Wow...there are no techs in the USA?

OK, I'm finished ranting. Thanks for the chat. Patti/GlamourShots
