Cannot change Adobe password

I normally login with my Google account but I'm now trying to set a new password, no matter what password I use I get the following error:

"does not contain your name or email address"

This happens even when I choose 'Suggest strong password' from Google Chrome

I agree with Kglad. Make sure you are signed into your CC id.
