I used to occasionally dip into these forums, so not expereinced any "issues" but posting more regularly is driving me nuts. I cannot quote by selecting text then pressing Reply (expected behaviour), when I click quote on an empty reply box, the whole post is quoted. I tried copying text, pasting, then quoting but again the whole post is quoted. When I then delete some quoted text not relevant to my reply, my reply is wrapped as a quote! Sticky posts are always sticky, even on page 2, 3. Huh? I only need to see them page one.
1. Have two quote buttons: one for whole post, one for pasted text in a reply.
2. When text is quoted, end quote when user presses Return (ie., numbered/bulleted behaviour).
3. Show sticky posts only on first page of a topic.
4. Speed up load times. Takes aeons to load main page of Photoshop Ecosystem forum in Safari (I have fast broadband). Even going back, a page already viewed, takes aeons.

Hi Shangara!

I don't know how others do it, but I make heavy use of the html button and the blockquote tag. The forum software is run by Khoros, and it may be a restriction from them. We've made a lot of complaints and gotten some things changed, but not everything.

Hi Jane
I can, of course, get my hands dirty but why would you do that in 2023 for simple replies? All they need do is add checkbox next to Reply with a quote icon. You select, all text is quoted. You don't, none is quoted. In the text box, paste text and select the quote icon in the Edit bar, then the selected text is quoted. This is really child's play!

almost nothing in these forums is easy to do.

Answers as per my original post. Change browser? Really? I mean REALLY? To fix a forum problem?

Too right. I just replied to your post, hit the quote icon in the Edit bar, and all of my post was quoted! Huh? How do you guys put up with such sh**e software?

and the reason i suggested a different browser was because you're seeing problems i don't see and don't recall seeing others report.

Changing browsers won't do a thing for this issue, Shangara! 🙂 I also use Safari.
Until about two years ago, all bugs and ideas went to UserVoice. Now many (but not all) of the boards have added Bugs and Ideas to the Adobe forums and have dropped UserVoice.
When we first changed from Jive to Khoros, there were tons of things that needed changing. Many, but not all, have been changed for the better. Your idea on quotes is a good one, imo.
My invitation to you still stands. Consider it!

We do what we need to do.
The important thing is that we are able to adapt and help other users with their Adobe software problems.

Absolutely spot on. This place is horrible and a direct indication that Adobe could not care less about their customers. I've reported a cruicial bug in Lightroom Classic and it was ignored, downplayed, neglected FOR MONTHS, then finally ACCEPTED, and then falsely marked as FIXED, while the fix was not there in reality.
