There is this option Search this Forum Only. So i type in a word, in this case mp3.
This is what i get when i hit OK.
If i click on one of the links i am back where i started. More Options does not help either.
Is it me or do i not understand how this search workes.
I also would like to find all (not just the last 25 or so) the posts of one Person. How do i do that.
Thanks

Search remains broken: searches done on phrases (search terms that require quotes), will produce the 'no-subject' search result.
Extremely unfortunate that this problem remains. I feel I am posting unnecessarily because I can't search properly for a previous problem.

I had not even checked Search for a bit, and am saddened that it has not been fixed.
For a bit, Google/Bing was bringing up Adobe forum threads perfectly, but lately, I have gotten some hits, that only went to the main page for the appropriate forum. With so very much useful material available to new posters, it is a horrible shame that we cannot easily access much of it.
Sad news indeed,

Well, unfortunately this is not the major bu
g in these forums that has remained unfixed for an unacceptable len
gth of time. This is Adobe, not a minor second rate company. Or perhap
s it's becoming one?

Looks like Search is back, and with a slightly different look. HERE is a Search in the Premiere fora on "CODEC."
Do not know how long it will last though.

There have been no changes in Search that I am aware of, but I have been told that the fix for Search is supposed to be rolled out this evening.
Right now, it works for some search terms, but displays limited info for other search terms.

Thank you for that. One of the Adobe folk on the PrPro CS5 forum posted Search results from earlier today (my guess would be around 1:00PM PST), and it looked a bit different. I rushed to try it out, in the PrPro fora, and got a slightly different display, than he posted, but still it worked, so I was overjoyed. Again, my display was slightly different, than I recall, and different than Todd's, but only by a little.
Maybe San Jose and Arizona got the "beta" roll-out?
Appreciated, and hope that the "New & Improved" Search is a hit.

It isn't quite here yet. And it isn't new/improved. It is the old search fixed. But the re-index is running a lot longer than they expected. So the process of fixing is started, but not completed yet.

Thank you for both the clarification and the update. Fingers X'ed here in Arizona, USA.

Yes, here today, but gone tomorrow.
Seems that we lost a lot of "stuff" for long periods of time. Maybe this weekend, things will finally get sorted?
Good luck to us all,

I have been unable to use search for a couple of days now, very annoying.

Going back, perhaps a week, or two, it was working fine (as fine as it works... ), but then, it did break again, and is broken for me now.

Still broken or broken again?

Both. Hoping to test a fix tomorrow (Wed) evening.

Wishing you luck.
If you are half as successful, as with Read Tracking and my account, we will have Search active in the AM, PDT.

Luck didn't hold out. As far as I can tell, it is still broken and being researched.

Dang, but at least you are working towards resolution.
Affraid to say "good luck," so let's go with "break a leg."
