Question

Stroke not in spell check dctionary

When posting here, I use the word "stroke" a lot. When I spell check my post, "stroke" is flagged. Suggestions include "strokes", "stroke's", and "upstroke" (but no downstroke?). "Stroking" is also not flagged. Why is just plain "stroke" flagged? Can I add it to the spell check dictionary?

Can I add it to the spell check dictionary?

By @Semaphoric

No, you can't add words to the forum's spell checker, but try posting in the Back Room. If words can be added, only staff would have the rights to do it.

It's easy enough to ignore it, so not a real problem. It's more of a "Oh, come on, now!"

Twitter/X & Reddit have NO spell check whatsoever.

The browser built-in spellchecker works with them. Well, at least with Twitter “Y did they changed the name to X?”.

😕😕

1. Elon Musk is nuts.

2. Elon is obsessed with X brand even though he doesn't haven't exclusive rights to it.

3. Elon is trying to kill Twitter.

4. All of the above.

This spell check lexicon leaves a lot to be desired.   Rarely a day goes by that I don't encounter at least one missing word.

Bonafide,

Captcha,

Non-sequitur,

Pixelated,

Stroke,

Stylesheets,

Uninstall,

Vibrance,

Workflow.

I could go on but you get the idea...
