Perhaps a moderator may want to review or keep a closer eye on it.With identity theft such a serious matter, I wonder why this topic exists and why some of our more helpful posters turned off their 'suspicious activity filter' to offer help in discovering information that was not supposed to be discovered.(I tried to click the 'report abuse' link for the entire thread but after submitting the comment describing the abuse, the following error is returned: "An unexpected error has occurred")

Hello,i tried today to post a reply to someone`s message t the forums but when i tried to attach 2 .php files i get unexpected error message and prevented me from posting the reply.but when i delete or reloaded the page, i shows me an error message again, but the reply was posted without letting me know!hope you can find a quick fix for that!__Best RegardsWaleed Barakat[signature deleted by host]

Navigation in these forums is very slow even when everything is working as planned, so it's very annoying to have to open a thread to find that it has been locked. The icon of a lock, even [Locked] at the beginning of the thread title would be enough. Surely it cannot be too difficult?

Last night I was kicked out immediately after posting a message (that was lucky!). When I tried to log in, I received the standard error message stating that the requested page was temporarily not available. I thought the forums were down, but they weren't. I could go anywhere I wanted within them, and do everything an unregistered user can do, but the login page was still unavailable when I went to bed.I don't recall have seen this reported, so I wonder if this has only happened this time, and to me.

It is an improvement of the greatest magnitude which promises to bring the internet forums to new usefulness.Before now, I would have to go through re-logging in and, over dozens of trys, I was finally able to log on to the forums. This however only lasted until I moved away from the forums for even a second. Then I would have to re-log onto the forums. All of that made it impossible to retain a train of thought or to contribute anything to the real purpose of these forums.Now there is hope. I did not have to re-log on this morning as it stayed logged on overnight. This is a first in the months since the working forums were dumped in favor of the not working forums.Never give up hope.Ken

A couple of days ago I posted a question on the Acrobat forum and turned on email notification.  I turned email notification off about 5 hours ago and I'm still getting them.The prompt on my Acrobat forum screen says "Receive email notifications" so email notifications appear to be turned off.  But I'm still getting them.

I am not sure why they changed it since it worked fine, and now it is a real pain to try and search a specific forum such as Indesign. It looks like you have to click on 'options' and scroll down the list to select the forum, which is *very difficult* in the tiny scroll box.I am surprised a company who obviously puts a lot of thought into design of their products would have such an ill conceived feature.  or am I missing something?

I susbscribe to messages that I post or that I have responded to, but suddenly, I'me getting every message that's posted to the Illustrator forum. Make it stop!

Every time I try to open a pdf file the internet shuts down. And I am unable to open pdf files. This is tough because it is part of business .  The message I get is "Adobe 9.2 stop working". Is there anyone who could help me figure this out?

I have the free downloadable version of Adobe Reader 9 and I have fillable forms that are in pdf Adobe format that I purchased on the internet, but I cannot fill in the forms even though it says"Filling of form fields: Allowed"  in theDocument-- Security--- Properties.  How can I edit these forms in PDF? Any help would be very much appreciated.

I have uploaded elements 8 to windows 7 ..having used Vista before... Now my problem is that I cannot share my pictures via email or other means as Adobe 8 does not recognise my email address which is .....@tinyworld.co.uk (the end user) .. it says that I have to default or something like this I am a photographer and not a computer wizard.. I need to share these pictures ... I have contacted adobe case 181276015 and they blame micrtosoft .. any solutions please as I need to operate as a photographer and Elements 7 used tyo work on Vista but wilth uploading ALL IS LOST.. Once upon a Time the Adobe Photoshop Forum was a community.  A lot like a family.  There were members who participated daily for a decade or more. Friends. Friends who are now gone, thanks to Jive ware.A great many of us met one another face-to-face.  Even more have talked on the phone.  We celebrated births of children, new houses, new jobs.  We commiserated over lost jobs, broken marriages, deaths.  We kept up with one another's birthdays.  We had a round robin Christmas card exchange.  Our community, though online, was a real community with daily exchanges, dear friends, like family.  Now gone.  Like a death of the family.We shared vibrant, energized discussions of how to improve one’s skills using Photoshop.  What one person does not know, another does.  Or did.  The knowledge shared on the Photoshop forum of this day is dismal in comparison.I personally have owned Dreamweaver about as long as I have owned Photoshop,

On the 10 November 2009, I logged on to the adobe website and then through the site to the Testrac website that holds the online exams. I entered my credit card details in to pay for the illustrator cs4 re-certification exam and it told me that my transaction had been declined. I then tried again and again it was declined, so i used another credit card and it went through fine. I wrote my exam online and passed. the next day i checked my balance online and TESTRAC illegally took money from my acc - twice! i contacted them and they just sent me a computer generated answer. this is fraud! please help me - i am an adobe certified trainer and i trust adobe - how could this happen? has this happened to you? just because i'm not living in America doesn't mean that TESTRAC can steal from me, plus this makes adobe look very bad. i'm seriously unhappy.

Hi.  I am using Captivate 4 and I put in some TEB's.  I have used TEB's before with no problems.  The problem I am facing today is that the "submit" button, when pressed is doing nothing.  It is set to continue, but when you click on it nothing happens (it doesnt even make a click sound)  any suggestions of what I did wrong?I am using it to have the student enter a name.  I am not trying to validate it by entering a specific name, just a general name of someone they know........Thanks for your help!

I inadvertently signed up for the RSS feed for LiveCycle forums: Designer. Now I am receiving a million emails every day--I am notified every time there is a new post or a response to a post. Help! How can I unsubscribe to the RSS? I want the email notifications for when I post a question, but I don't want the RSS feed.

Why don't you just ignore this poster. At the moment s/he is running rings around you guys and you're all going ape. Just let s/he keep posting.. as when reported for abuse, delete the post. Banning is never a solution as the individual can keep creating new avatars.So, seriously, ignore the individual – and also let the others here ignore LT – and, i am sure s/he will get bored and drift away. It is all this pointing out and banning and deleting that is adding fuel to the fire.To elaborate, you can ban an ID. You cannot keep banning an individual who keeps creating new IDs. Ignoring will lead to boredom and silence. By all means, delete inappropriate posts but stop there. S/he'll get bored and move on.Basically, it boils down to maturity of moderators vs immaturity of moderators.

So i have 5 imacs with cs4 on them and i want to somehow not have to download the updates 5 different times at 1gb each. I have tried putting the DMG files on a network path but it seems to want to delete them after it is done installing.Is there a cumulative update, or some way to make the updates not delete when the adobe updater is finished with them?

Hi,We make extensive use of the ghostscript in our application. Basically application provides the document transformation capability. Currently we used to invoke GS process for every transformation request that we receive, but this has a tremendous performance overhead. To overcome this issue, we decided to convert the GS process as a server. We achieved this by making GS process start and then communicate with it using the pipes. We invoke GS (V 8.63) with various options (example: -dPAPERSIZE, -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS...etc). We need to identify a way we can pass these options effectively to the ghostscript when it runs in the server mode.[edited by host]Any help on this topic will be of gr8 help.Thanks,Avadhut.

Do the higher-ups at Adobe know how bad their customer service is?  I seem to not be alone in doing a cross-platform upgrade, but Adobe charged my card for $1,900 (it was an $800 upgrade) I WAS NOT TOLD I WOULD BE CHARGED IN FULL... called back, was told "this was how they do it.".Well, my "case" with my LOD has been sitting untouched by Adobe - (bangalore) for 10 days now.  I should just do a charge-back on my CC and complain to the BBB.  Supposedly the software was shipped to the wrong address (adobe had the right address, but God knows what went wrong with addressing the package (be nice if they provided an Email receipt of the transaction with a tracking number).  Still, no response to my request to re-send it.Finally call what is referred to as Customer Service.  Get some IDIOT in India (US telephone sales who took the order CANNOT provide any support once they get your money.)  TOOK THE MORON 45 MINUTES TO TELL ME HE COULDN'T HELP ME.  Trying to

I am trying to remove the Adobe Web Premium & Premiere pro packages from my Vista OS.During the uninstall process in both cases the messages are saying the uninstall applications are trying to install the various constituent parts. At the end, the application says that there were problems that are stated below – and nothing follows. How can uninstall these packages?
