HiI want to insert a windows media player video on my webpage, but I cant get it to work.I did: insert plugin and a box appears on the webpage. But dreamweaver says it doesnt recognise the file when I try to play it.From the webpage, clicking on the image box doesnt do anythingAny help appreciatedEoin

I'd suggest to add a separate section (subforum) for each (or most of) the software products, dealing exclusively with issues pertaining to installation/deinstallation/activation/deactivation/installing 64bit version on.../using product with ... graphics card/etc.etc...For example, since the launch of Photoshop CS4, the main Photoshop forum section has been cluttered with installation/activation issues to a point, where other issues go unnoticed and people lose interest in the forum. During the last days, I've read at least 2 comments in the Photoshop section, that they have decided to stop using the forum for exactly this reason.I'd have to look, but I can surely retrieve these comments, if need be ...kind regards.

So I just got CS4 Master Collection from my company, and am trying to install it on my mac. I have previously installed the Flash and Fireworks trials, which have since expired. Now when I run the Master Collection installation, it won't let me install Flash or Fireworks. When I run a full install they aren't included, and when I try a custom install it won't let me check them. I've deleted the trials, and the obvious files associated with them. What can I do?

Seriously, do points matter? Do you want them? Why if so, why, if not? Are points any good? Do points make you feel more secure? Are points pointed and sharp or are they blunt and blunted? Do points encourage you to answer questions or do they discourage you?Points are not a line... but connecting two pints makes a line... So do points awarded in an answer draw aline and stop all further discussion?I've been following threads in DW General and AI General. I notice that threads, by and large, stop far sooner than they would have. I put that down to the lack of participants for various reasons and the 'Correct' answer flag. So much knowledge and information is not being shared.True, a lot of the posts came from the NNTP side... but a lot also came from the web side... these forums are killing all spontaniety.However, the killers are:1/ Lack of NNTP2/ Points3/ Correct answers

Hello!I jumped the gun and marked my question here in the forums http://forums.adobe.com/thread/436424?tstart=0 as Answered but then I discovered that what I thought was working to resolve my problem was not.  So now I need to change the marking from Answered to Not Answered or Unanswered.  How do I do this?Thank you!Diane Dennis

unusable for me today. between 404 errors and waiting for stats.adobe.com and wwwimages.adobe.com and the posting box never appearing when i go to place a response to something. i think i've made like 2 posts today. i'm not willing to wait 2-5 MINUTES for things to finish downloading or to hit reload then reload again (at 30 secs a pop) to clear out 404 errors.guys, THIS IS THE ONLY SITE I VISIT THAT BEHAVES LIKE THIS!!!we're months into this cr*p experiment. don't you have a lemon clause in your jive contract? i suggest you exercise it and go back to web crossing.i'm actually shocked i was able to get the posting box to appear for this. i'm going to copy and save this message out to notepad before posting because i fully expect to be logged out when i hit the post button.

If it is the right place, could I suggest that the select forum combobox should appear in every web page from the forums and not only on the Forums Home Page, it requires too many clicks to change from a forum to another.Thanks

Will the forums ever remember a login for more than a day or is this a foolish dream?

I have a very large database made in Microsoft Access.  I was wanting to put my database on dreamweaver.  I have quite a few other programs with Adobe that I can use. I do NOT want to use Acrobat because I want an interactive database available on the internet.  I was also curious if there is a way to make it so the person viewing the database does not have to have Access installed as a program.Any help would be GREATLY appritiated!!!!!Thanks!Amber

I know there's a formula, but this still isn't making sense - the 'most popular' in Dreamweaver does have 92 posts, but the most recent is from April 11, and it's just recently risen to the top. I still don't see the point of this feature. I suppose it might have been read a lot lately - it's about how rubbish these forums are.If a post appears in 'more like this' I suppose people might go and read it who wouldn't have, which makes it more 'popular' - all very incestuous.

Since the switch this forum seems to have the  most activity. The other forums are practically dead since the switch. Is this really what Adobe wanted?

Until all the problems with email replies are fixed, could you remove "reply to this email (recommended)" from the bottom of emails sent to thread participants?  That is, instead of:To post a reply to the thread message, either reply to this email (recommended) or visit the message page:http://forums.adobe.com/message/1969187#1969187have it read:To post a reply to the thread message, visit the message page:http://forums.adobe.com/message/1969187#1969187This will cut down on the number of times that we have to ask people to post their replies on the Web because the forum software is mangling their email replies.  As a side effect, when we tell them to use the camera icon rather than attachments, they'll be more likely to know what we're talking about.Recommending that people use a buggy feature is causing needless trouble.

Yes, I know, rehashing, but it feels as though this request is being lost in the fog. In the test forums it was identified as the biggest failing of these forums. Finally   I Was able to get CS3 Master suite installed . all of it.by just doing it one  to two programs at a time. ( or a complete suite) which worked perfectly.after months of playing around with this program which was poorly designed as a suite for total installation.the installer always would hang up, or if it did complete it would install a shell of the program but not the program.so one day i decided to go into the cs3 setup folder and unchecked all the boxes and just installed one at a time. if they were the same suite i would jus do the complete suite.  and this process worked perfectly.the licensing went off with out a hitch as each program asks for the license which is called for at the beginig of installation. so far each component works perfectly..I just wish Adobe would get its developers together and design an install program that will install with out problems. just like i hear the business one does.hope this helps..insert DVD.do not choose install. choose
