I can't type angle brackets (like > and <) in the non-rich editor. They go the same place as new lines. I noticed that the FAQs are not pinned anymore at the top of the discussions. I guess it is only due to the transition period, and that we'll see them again.

The way the emails are displayed on these forums is an attractant for spam email trollers. the way it was hidden in the WebX forums resulted in no Spam for me. I noticed Dov and a few others that supplied email have also been SPAMed.At closer inspection I'm getting much more SPAM from everyone.I know all these SPAMs are because of the new forums because I only use the address they are coming to with my adobe account.

At least as far as the Windows side is concerned, it's annoying how many questions cannot be answered properly without asking first for information on PS version, OS version, System specs, and so on.Can we have a "Sticky" at the top asking this or even just quoting the link How to get help.

i suggest we lose the author, views and replies columns.widen up the column with the topic title so it doesn't wrap (unless it's really long).and replace the word "(updated)" to indicate an updated thread with the little red flags we all know and love.if the system is smart enough to dynamically insert the character string "(updated)" it's smart enough to post the character string "<img src="lilredflag.gif">"maybe tweak the new vs visited vs updated link colors a bit so there's more differentiation. rather than light blue, little less lighter blue, and bolder light blue.... 😉dave

...And by putting the Author of a thread starter in the left-most column of the thread index page it seems to me that the natural emphasis is focused on the wrong thing.The important thing is the Subject, and it should be given that position.In fact, I don't even care who starts a thread; I wouldn't even need to see that until I open the thread.Further, I'd rather not see a column dedicated to the authors of posts at all. I'd rather see their names on a line beneath the title of the thread or the reply.

Please remove the statement, "This Question is Possibly Answered ", presently located at the top of forum pages. It is practically useless. When a question has been answered the poster will mark it as answered. When it hasn't, the poster wont. 

Not sure if this is right forum but want to report  a bug in Bridge Forum.It  appears the the Top Participants on the Bridge Forum is not working.  It has kept the same names up there for days now.  Some do not even have any content (reroger), and have not logged on for days.

OK, I'm sorry to be bothering you with this, but a longtime friend in here advised me to post here, to ask John C. to "reconcile" my account, so my old posts are linked to my new ones. The weird thing is, If I go to older posts, the correct (I think?) number of posts display under my name, but everything since the new forums went "live," look like a completely new account? Same Adobe ID, same email, same screen name?I know you've got a LOT more important things to do, but, this is bugging me. Anyway, if you get to it, it'd be appreciated. Not really a big deal, just a curiosity. Thanks.

So ... a moment's inattention while setting up my profile and I find I'm in Belorussia instead of Belgium <g>The forum mechanism is bright enough to spot a discrepancy here, and suggests I go back and edit it: but when I dutifully go back to correct it, I find that the country code is not exposed for editing. Hints and tips welcome.

It ought to be possible to access the Illustrator General Discussion forum from the main forum page just like other main applications, rather than having to scroll through a dropdown list after wasting time looking for it elsewhere, such as Design forums. Complaints are being made by users, after they have finally found their way (back) to it.There may be other product forums deserving the same prominence. GoLive could be one of them.

I was playing around with the Your View setting of the homepage (which doesn't seem to open as default, unfortunately), and I thought what I came up with might be useful to other (frustrated) users... If you have a different setup, you can post it here as well.  I choose the 3-column layout because it seems to minimize the huge font that is used in any of the 2-columns options. Since I follow mostly certain forums (as I'm sure most others do as well), and there doesn't seem to be any way of creating a "favorites" list, I've added the RSS feeds from my forums of interest into my customized home-page, as well as my private messages box and the list of all forums. It looks something like this. (I hope the image is clear, in the preview it looks quite small).As you can see, I'm losing about a quarter of the screen due to this wonderful grey bar that's stuck there. It would have been nice to be able to use that space for some more boxes, but I guess that's expecting too much at this po

Caught this tonight  (Mon 13 Apr 2009 1:08 EDT) on the PS/Mac thread index page. Never saw it before.I thought it would correct itself after the page was fully loaded and the progress bad disappeared, but it didn't.

First off, I like the new forums! However...The email notifications are wreaking havoc on my Gmail. There are two basic problems:The subject line of every email subject starts with the extremely verbose "[Adobe Premiere Elements] New Message: Re: " and then lists the forum's topic. The end result is that the forum topic (the most important part) is always cut off. Seriously: shorten it to "[Adobe] Re:"!!!Every subject line includes some sort of unique message identifier - which makes Gmail thing every single email is a separate conversation. In the prior forums, Gmail would group all forum notification emails of "Stupid Forum Updates" into one conversation... meaning it would show up once in my inbox; clicking on the message would show me all the emails in a thread-like display. Now, that doesn't work.Put these 2 things together and it makes email notification for Gmail almost useless. I now have 187 email notifications, but I can't tell what any of them are about because the subject l

Hello all,Since long ago, I had an ‘Adobe WEB account’ used to log to these (well, the old ones) forums. Recently, I had to create an ‘Adobe ID’ and link the old account to it. This combination created a complication with my ‘screen name’. When I created the new ‘Adobe ID’ I could not use my old ‘screen name’ because it was in use - yes, it was, by my old web account -, so I used a different ‘screen name’. Now, I guess the old account is gone, but I cannot change the ‘screen name’ back to what it was before: I’m STILL told the old ‘screen name’ is in use!.So, my question: how to get my old ‘screen name’ back?

Hi allQuestion for the forum mods here.Do the forums have a feature whereby if a forum post hasn't received an answer within a specified amount of time that it is sent out again in E-Mail?I've seen a couple of messages lately that I know I had seen before. I know that sometimes users grow anxious and will repeatedly post the same issue hoping for a faster response. But this doesn't seem to be the case with these. The vast majority of messages in the RSS feeds are identified as being "posted by forums@adobe.com". Rarely the poster's email address is given. Would it be possible to make this latter behaviour the default?MHP

I have spent hours painstakingly going through all the Mozilla troubleshooting steps, deleting cookies, disabling plug-ins, disabling all my security software, trying in safe mode, so forth and so on.  No matter what I try, this forum refuses to let me log in using Firefox.  Before I can type in my log in info it switches to a page claiming I have cookies disabled.  Believe you me, I patently do NOT have them disabled, and this is the only forum in years of forum-crawling that has ever given me so much trouble.What gives, Adobe?
