Hi,I'm working more and more with After Effects, but recently I've been experiencing several issues:- Audio is not in sync with the clip-L ow performance, especially when working in 3D- Long export times What can I upgrade in my hardware to improve performance? Current Hardware:CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-Core, ~3.7 GHz)RAM: 64 GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (12 GB VRAM)Windows 11 Many thanks in advance. Sven
I use an M4 Mac Mini and a Firewire DV conveter for this tutorial. Having said that the Firewire DV converters can also be used with Windows computers.https://youtu.be/YremBGJXUeY
Tips for top laptops for After Effects, Premiere, and Photoshop. Mobile Workstations or Gamer?
Hello Everyone? I'm having trouble in deciding which of theese three laptops (That I can afford) would fit better with Adobe Premiere's requirements. The three have 16GB RAM (I'll expand it to 32 later) 1st: Ryzen 7 5700 U (8 core) with no external video card (I think it has VEGA)2nd: Ryzen 5 5600H (6 core) + GTX 16503rd: Intel i5 11260H (6 core) + RTX3060 The three have almost the same price. What would you choose according to premiere pro's needs?
I know it is early days on this one, but having waited 4 years to upgrade my GPU to a 4080 Super, it is now sitting on my desk waiting to be used with Premeier Pro, along with a host of other Video related Apps. Has anyone (yet ?) tried the gaming driver 551.31 as an interim driver ?.It is the only one available as Studio Version driver not released, not even a Beta I know that the drivers are eventaully identical, but it is the testing /certification process taking longer on Studio version. I raised a ticket with NVidia on this but no timescale on Studio driver release yet Any feedback welcomed on using gaming driver. Thanks.
Can anyone confirm that Adobe applications that feature I.A. Do require local processing (CPU/NPU)? (and not only GPU). I'm looking forward to understanding what is the impact of using NPU based Processor. Is there any benchmark database or even a benchmark that I could run in both platforms to help me to understand these possible gains?Besides Generative AI, are there other use cases where workloads have shifted from execution on the CPU to execution on the NPU (even partially)? Any examples of application optimization independent of Generative AI?
After days of research and asking many forums, I am still just confused as confused as ever with which Mac Studio to buy as a video editor. At this point, I feel like it makes sense to either buy the M4 max studio with 64gb of ram or the M3 ultra base with 96 gb of ram. I ruled out the max with 128gb because at that price point it’s just to close to the m3 ultra. A little about my workflow. I edit in premiere with black magic raw footage mainly 5:1 and 8:1. I do use multiple video layers in my edits, color grade pretty heavy, and add medium effects (warp stabilizer and 1 to 2 other effects sometimes). I prefer not to work in proxies. I only care about smooth playback and scrubbing without stuttering or dropping frames, i could care less about export time. I am cheap but don’t want to regret under or over paying. Yet if it actually does make a difference to my workflow then I will happily sell the shirt off my back for the 256 gb of ram. I figure the only way to truly know the differenc
Hi Any advice please on which will be the best performing for my AE workflow. I spend most of my time on a job animating, tweaking, RAM previewing, tweaking, RAM previewing, tweaking etc. Some jobs are light, others can be heavy with many 2D layers, large 3D bitmap layers, cameras and effects. I mostly still work at 1080p 25fps. The machine needs to be future proof and last for many years. I'm considering either a Mac Studio M3 Ultra 28/60 96GB RAM or an M4 Max 16/40 with 128GB RAM. My first priority is a machine that builds RAM previews the fastest (afaik a multi core task), second priority is a reponsive UI (single core task). So I'm confused as I know the M4 Max is faster on single core tasks and the Ultra is faster on multi core tasks - but in the tests I've seen, the multi core on the M3 Ultra isn't hugely faster than the M4 Max. But maybe someone can offer some insight that I've not gained yet. Thanks.
Anyone have experience with AMD Vs Intel? My last PC that I built I went with a threadripper 2950X and was dissapointed even though every benchmark said it was supposed to slay Adobe workflow. Now, as of March 2025, Every metric that I see says the Ryzen 9950x is the best under $1K. But I'm kinda thinking about going with Intel because they've just worked better in the past. Times change and I'm willing to listen and learn. For reference, I mostly use Premiere and media encoder 98% of the time. My concerns are #1, workflow usability (time line scrubbing etc...) and #2, render time. Thank you.
Hi all,I've purchased a Mac Mini M4 Pro and am looking to buy an ultrawide monitor so I can now edit using one large screen (vs. the two I now use- 27" iMac and 27" Dell). I've heard lots of chatter about ultrawide monitors not playing nicely with Premiere. Has anyone experienced this? Are there any monitor recommendations? Ideally 40" or larger. Thanks in advance,Michael
Hi im trying to decide between the 4070 ti vs radeon 7900 xtx for Premieor pro/ after effects.I use 4k h.265 sony files.I currently use a 2070s im hoping this will be a big jump in performenace? I know everyone says CPU is matters moslty but im hoping through updates adobe has been taking advtange of the GPU more. I have noticed that when I "Render in to out" in PP i can somtimes see 100% gpu useage.

Hello everyone,I recently built a powerful PC and I'm planning to use it extensively for Adobe software, especially After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop. Here are my system specifications:CPU: Intel Core i7-12700KFGPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GBRAM: 64GB DDR5 6000MHzStorage: 3TB NVMe SSDOS: Windows 11 ProCooling: DeepCool AG620 BK ARGB Air CoolerMy question is:Are these specifications suitable for professional work in After Effects? And what kind of medium to heavy projects can I handle with this setup? (e.g., 4K video editing, motion graphics, visual effects, 3D animation...)Also, if you have any suggestions for creative project ideas that match this setup, or tips for optimizing After Effects performance, I would greatly appreciate your input.Thank you in advance!
Have any of you more techy/PC builders compared your own experience between the i9 14900K and the Ultra9 285K. I'm fixing to build and I know that Premiere likes high clock speeds historically. But I don't know if the NPU's and other more modern tech is actually benefitting Premiere. For reference I'm considering both timeline use and rendering speed. But I have a sore spot for timeline use (scrubbing and seeing live views decently). TIA
I’m planning to upgrade from a MacBook Air M1 (16GB) to a Mac Studio, but I’m overwhelmed by the options.I mainly work with video editing and motion graphics in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects. My projects involve:Editing 4K footageApplying multiple effectsWorking with complex motion graphicsI want a system that can handle these tasks smoothly without lag. Which Mac Studio configuration would be the best choice for my workflow? Should I prioritize CPU, GPU, or RAM for the best performance in Adobe apps?Would appreciate any advice from those with experience!
HalloWir haben 2 Macs, Intel und Mac Mini M4, an einem Synology Storage.alles funktioniert gut , aber seit Oktobger letzten Jahres stürzt die Verbindung zum Synology beim rendern ab. Can I use adobe in HP 15s AMD Athlon Dual Core 3050U
Hello!I am currently looking to upgrade my main work computer because the demands of my clients have become way more demanding.I've been using my M1 Pro base 16gb model for years and it was great up until now. For the past few months i've been constantly commissioned to create long format content thats above 1080p, 50fps and with tons of heavy effects. This laptop isn't cutting it anymore. So my question is - what should be my priorities when buying a new macbook? Its really confusing because they have so many models. Do i get as much unified memory as i can get? From what i've heard - after effects is going to rely more on cache space in future versions. So should i invest in to a more powerful chipset instead with less memory? I'm super confused about this and i don't want to make a really expensive mistake. I would appreciate some help. Thanks!
Hi,I've been using Premiere Pro for a while now and only recently it's been continually crashing and making my laptop have a blue screen with the same error code. The error codes are VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (nvlddmkm.sys) and VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR. It's not only happening using Premiere Pro but also with Photoshop and After Effect. It's only happening using Adobe software. Any other software that are also using the GPU are not crashing the laptop. All my Adobe software are updated to the latest 2018 versions. Windows 10 is up to date and my graphic drivers through NVIDIA are also up the latest drivers. It's running version 390.77.I've followed all steps on this website Video_TDR_Failure (nvlddmkm.sys) on Windows 10 [Fixed] - Driver Easy with no luck. The issue is still occurring. I've also forced uninstall and re-install both internal Intel video driver and external NVIDIA in safe mode.My laptop specs should not be an issue either. Here they are for reference:ASUS laptopModel - GL553
Or, because I'm not very knowledgeable about these things, mayve even a specific recommendation or two for a graphics card. After years of warnings from Premiere Pro and limitations of my 5-year+ old PC , I finally bought a new PC from Dell. Although I'm an experienced filmmaker (yes, film -- remember that?) with some video editing experience, I'm not going to do any extremely demanding video editing. (Nor, by the way, am I a gamer.) Here are its specs as far as I can gather them, and I'd like to buy a card before my computer guy comes by to help me set it up and move over my programs and data. (Unfortunately, he doesn't have much experience with graphics cards, although he's a whiz with computers, having left IBM several years ago.)Dell Inspiron Desktop 3030Intel Core i5 processor (14 gen)10-core, 16 CPU Threads, L2 20 MB Cache Memory8GB memory (I'm going to install 16GB)512GB SSD (We're going to move one of my HDs over)Intel UHD Integrated Graphics (730??)
Hello, first a bit of context:I have a new PC (Intel 265k, 64gb ram, Z890 Tomahawk, RTX 3080) and Premiere performance is....mediocre. Just barely faster than my old rig (8th gen i7, 32gb ram...). I specifically chose Intel because of QuickSync and because it worked so well on my old PC. -all drivers and BIOS are updated (Nvidia, Intel Graphics etc.)-iGPU works, is enabled and shows activity in other programs (Chrome, VLC...when set to Intel graphics)-hardware encoding and decoding is enabled (Intel + Nvidia) My issue is, that it doesn't use the iGPU at all; so no QuickSync. Even if I disable NVENC for HW encoding/decoding it somehow still loads the GPU. It only uses the iGPU if I set the renderer to OpenCL (which is quick for playback but slower for effects). So Premiere Pro recognises the iGPU, but does not use it. I am editing a project with Sony H264 4:2:2 footage. I have read somewhere that newer versions of Premiere Pro prioritize Nvidia for decoding ins
Custom PC specs: i9-14900K with RTX 4070ti/4080 and 64/128 gigs RAM (might add extra RAM)Macbook specs: M4 max with 16 CPU and 40 GPU cores and 64 gigs RAM My workflow includes editing long, multiple hours 2k/4k footage inside premier and taking multiple, huge chunks of it in after effects through dynamic link to work on heavy compositions which may use heavy effects like sapphire, trapcode, universe, element 3d, etc.Problems I want to avoid:- Lag while scrubbing through timeline in half/full resolution in both Pr and especially Ae- Lag while using both softwares continously through dynamic link- Lag during real time playback in both softwares but especially Ae- Lag while using those heavy effects I mentioned aboveFactors I DO NOT care about:- Crashes (I keep saving my files time to time)- Operating system: I am fine using both MacOS or Windows- Flexibility (I don't travel much lol)- Render times: I am fine with longer render times Summary: I just want the best performace in

Hello everyone, my computer runs on Windows 11 and is equipped with an RTX 4090 standalone graphics card as well as a newly purchased Intel DG1 graphics card. To address the issue of hardware encoding for H.265 422 10bit, I tried playing back H.265 422 10bit and other video materials in Premiere Pro 2024 version 24.6.1. However, I found that the Intel standalone graphics card did not work. When I set up in Windows to use only the Intel graphics card in Premiere, the software ran very inefficiently, and playing back a single H.265 422 10bit material was also very laggy. Could you please advise me on how to accurately set up my computer to run Premiere with maximum efficiency?
