Slide branching is a challenge in Presenter, because PowerPoint doesn't do it well. However, in the Slide Manager tool in Presenter you can adjust the navigation to the next slide by changing the Go To property. This will force the slide to a specific slide in the presentation, rather than the next slide.

Branch can also be done using hyperlinks, and linking to other slides in the presentation. Branching can also be set up in the quiz tool, but linking individuals to slides outside of the quiz can lead to reporting issues.
