Acrobat Reader

Whenever I open PDF files the Comment tool bar opens up.  this only started happening recently with files I've been using for years that this has never been an issue with. This is driving me crazy, I cant find a way to turn this off and this support community seems to be the only place that I can voice my concerns?I just want the files to open without the comment tool bar popping up every damn time. Thank you. 

The Adobe Acrobat Reader DC stopped working after I tried to open a downloaded pdf file. I uninstalled the application and used Acrobat Cleaner to be sure, downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC from Adobe website and I still get the message "Application Adobe Acrobat Reader DC can't be opened" when I click on a pdf file or when I try to open the application itself. I am using a Mac OS 10.13.6 (High Sierra). I downloaded Acrobat Reader Pro and it works but I prefer to use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC because it's free and I don't need the features of the Pro version. Why the Acrobat Reader DC won't open on my computer?

I can't currently used the Adobe Acrobat Reader app on my Mac because as soon as I open it a pop up appears for the adobe reader chrome extension and then everything freezes. The only option I have is to force quite the app. I uninstalled and installed Reader and still the pop up appears immediately. What can I do?! I can't be only one getting this pop up that freezes everything?

How can I change text color in the entire PDF document directly (not just in one page)?

I have downloaded Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and the PDF printer did not show on printer list.  I attempted the remedial action but Documents*/.pdf Adobe PDF printer port was not available either.  How do I get the PDF Printer to install??? 

I run dual monitors. Everytime I open Acrobat Reader, it opens on my primary monitor. I move it to the secondary monitor. Then, if I close and reopen Acrobat, it opens again on the primary. I would like it to only open and stay on the secondary monitor. I have tried to minimize and maximize Acrobat. Nothing seems to work. Frustrating. Can anyone help?

Hi, seit dem Windows 10 Funktionsupdate 2004 ist es nicht mehr möglich, im Internetexplorer geöffnete PDF-Dateien auszudrucken. Das Speichern und anschließende Drucken ist möglich, aber zu umständlich, weil zu aufwändig. Dies betrifft anscheinend nur den PDF-Reader von Adobe, andere Reader (z.B. Foxit-Reader) haben dieses Problem nicht.Ist dieses Problem bekannt, und wenn ja: gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das Problem zu lösen?

I am suddently unable to open PDF documents after I have saved them using Windows 10. I have uninstalled and re-installed Acrobat Reader DC several times to no avail.  I can save MS Word to PDF, open a PDF attachment from an email in my browser (Chrome) but once I save it to my laptop it cannot be opened. Help please!!! Michelle.

Hi,  I am taking part in a course to where i have to completed an editable pdf document for assigments and send to tutor with updates. Recently I completed my latest assignment and sent over to the tutor who was able to open as normal and it was showing as editable. However he saves to my student folder on his system and then tried to open to mark my work and he recieves the below message:This document enabled extended featuress in Adobe Acrobat Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact the author for the original version of this document. So all the tutor does is open the docucment from the e-mail and then save as - to the folder required. He hasnt had this before with my document and has also recieved documents from other students without any issues as he normally does. Now this has not happened before and both of us have not changed anything system wise. Can someon

Hello all, To quickly explain the protected mode has been an issue for us not allowing our users to do a save but forcing a save as all the time. Disabling this protected mode allows us to have them click save but of course closing Adobe reader and clicking save on exit also still forces a save as instead of a save (like any other app) With that we have found the registry keys to add to the adobe customization wizard to disable this and the app container. What I am looking for is a way to deploy this using the same Adobe version. Ex: we already have the latest version in our environment and it wont reinstall and add the registry keys, it needs to be a fresh install for it to add the keys.Is there a way to force the reinstall for it to add the keys?And no I dont want to create GPO's for this right now, I want it done the right way through the customization of the app. ThanksSheldon

Hallo,ich brauche eine Lösung für folgendes Problem:Ich möchte eine bearbeitbare PDF-Formular erstellen mit derm es möglich ist die spezifische Daten aus dem Formular in spezifische Zelle automatisch zu übernehmen. D.h. das durch wenig Knopfdrücke beispielsweise immer Daten wie Adresse oder Name aus dem Formular in der entsprechende Zelle der Excell-Tabelle landen ohne dass händisch oder mit strg+V nachgearebitet werden muss.

I just completed a chat with an Adobe Acrobat Reader person from TECH SUPPORT.  The tech person said I could download Adobe on a Window 10 PC running in Safe Mode.  The follwing answer is for anyone that needs FYI whether it is for community or individual.ANSWER :  NO.You have to download Adobe through the Microsoft Store,  if you are running a Windows OS in SAFE MODE!

Interesting problem....prior to 15.023.20053 update, from within SAP we would do a Print Preview, redirect the output to PDF!, and it would open Reader DC and allow us to save and/or print.  Since the update, choosing either save or print causes Reader to error out with "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working" and subtext "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".Uninstalled the software and reinstalled/repatched to 15.023.20053, same error.  Uninstalled the software and reinstalled an older version (in this case, 15.009.20069) and everything worked again as normal.  SAP tells us that it's "obviously an Adobe problem" and won't even look at the issue.I'm faced with a mandate to keep Adobe patched to the most recent release, and a recent release that won't do what we need.  Is this a known issue that will be resolved in the next patch?  Any suggestions (besides us

Hi All,I have Acrobat Reader and it is forcing me to log in, just to print a document. I HATE it. It locks up my whole system and will not let me proceed with any function until I do. Makes me loathe the program. I do not want to log in, nor do I wish to do business with them over all every time. 

Hi all,Could someone advise on how to add a Dictionary to Adobe Acrobat Reader DC version 2020.013.20064.The language pack available to install that I found here in the community centre are for the older versions. I need to add the Norwegian language, but only the english ones are available on the spelling list. Hi, I want to save my files to the Adobe Document Cloud through the Acrobat Reader DC application on my Mac, but I constantly get the "access denied" error after signing in.Does anyone have an idea why this happens and how can I get it fixed? Thanks! (Reader Version 2020.013.20064, Mac OS version 10.15.7)

Unable to download Adobe Acrobat Reader after Big Sur install on iMac. V11.01

We have one user who's Adobe reader dc freezes and locks up when the attempt to save an open PDF to their local pc. We are not making any changes just opening and then attempting to save the emailed document. A workaround is to after the document has been viewed ios to go to the email and right-click to save the attachment. This workaround works every time with no issue. but it takes extra steps and time. We have uninstalled, restarted, and reinstalled Adobe reader dc. We have reset the defaults, disabled protected mode at start up and we still have the issue. The user is on Win 10 Pro x64 build 19041  with 16GB RAM with 100 GB Free space on the HDD. The version that is installed is 2020.013.20066. I also have this same version and do not have any issues attempting to save PDF's.

I recently purchased a new Dell laptop with Windows 10 & Acrobat Reader DC pre-installed.  For whatever reason, I cannot preview PDF files (anywhere) or open them from a saved file within either my computer or One Drive without it completely locking up my computer for 2-10 minutes.This includes it lagging when I just happen to open a folder in file explorer & the first file selected just happens to be a PDF - the whole system hangs for a minute or two at least while it thinks about maybe opening a preview of that file (or maybe it's contemplating the meaning of life and death?).  It also only will give me a preview after all that time frozen every 2nd or 3rd time I try to see a preview, and that includes file previews within Outlook and File Explorer. It just says "Preview viewer unavailable". The fastest it opens anything is when it's an attachment to an outlook email - and even then it's a 30 second - 2 minute wait for the computer to become un-frozen/hung up.When I

I was contacted today regarding an employee that could not see the contents of a PDF after attatching it to an email. The error that is received upon previewing the PDF in a web browser is  Please Wait...If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the Document, your PDF viewer may not be able to view this type of document. I have already explored the community for people that have experienced the same issue, however, the only solution that has even been proposed is downloading the document and opening with Adobe Reader. The file that the user is attempting to email is to someone outside of the organization, meaning that we have no control over what software they have on their PC that can open the PDF. I tried everything I could think of: - Uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader- Assuring Adobe Reader was fully updated- Made sure web browser was completely updated- Saving the PDF with a different name- Adding the Adobe Reader extension to
