I have Acrobat Reader DC set as my default program for pdfs for all defaults. However, when I select a file in file explorer and right-click Print, Acrobat XI is what is executed. How can I change this?I use Win 10.

I'm trying to take a credit card payment calculator code from an excel spreadsheet and translate it into javascript. I'm way out of my league. I've reviewed other similar posts and attempted to mimic the information, but I keep getting syntax errors. I set the default for my scanning to not append to existing documents.  Every time I try to scan it comes back.  How do I permanently disable it.  I would also like to add the Comment that every time I upgrade my Acrobat, I have great difficulty finding the tools, etc.  It is like buying a new car and having the steering wheel on the roof!!![Moved from the Adobe LiveCycle General discussions - features, feedback, training, documentation, etc. forum and into a more appropriate forum. - moderator]

I have seen in a previous forum that is possible with a button and javascript (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1892058?q=upload%20image ) however this was limited to only PDF format. This thread was from 2015, has there been any updates to this feature since? Or a workaround. I am creating an invitation for a client where they can customise the data and would like to have it where they can insert/upload a logo. For many of these users changing an image format to PDF from say a JPG or PNG is beyond their capabilities. Help, need an answer.

I've created a service estimate document that contains fields that need to produce the multiplied product of two other. Unfortunately, the field does not display that product. Just still shows as 0.00

I just upgraded my Adobe XI Pro and now, when I scan a document, it is scanned as legal size rather than letter size, regardless of the size of the original.  I can't seem to find anywhere that this can be changed in the settings.Can anyone help?

I'm using this script to generate a random number. It works fine but I would like to modify it to include a No, Cancel, Yes button. As you can see I figured out placing the "3" into the script gives me the three buttons. But, the random number still gets placed into the m12 field, regardless of what button is pressed. Can someone show me how to make the modification so I'll be able to have the choice as to what I want to do? I've created a catalog in Adobe Acrobat XI Version 11.0.11 on a Windows 7 operating system that has a couple hundred items broken down in 20 pages.  I would like the user to be able to click on the item they want to place it on an order form.  In theory they would click on the item, it would bring up a window asking the quantity and the user can click a button that says Add to order.  Once complete the user can see their order by clicking on the View Order button.  Once confirmed they would be able to send the order to our company via email.  Is this possible in Adobe?  Is it something I would be able to do on my own or would you recommend I find a programmer who could help me?

I am looking for a training that can help me to interact with PDF fillable forms. These forms are created by Acrobat DC Professional, and we want to put these forms online, and let users fill the form and submit the form online, and we will then extract the fields data after the forms submitted, and do some kind of workflow behind scene.I have some basic experience in JavaScript, C#, etc.Would someone give some suggestions, and where can I find the training? I downloaded a form with fillable data fields and it took more than an hour to complete.  After saving the file, when I reopen it, the data flashes in the form fields and then disappears.  Where does it go? And, how do I get it back?  What setting can I change to keep this from happening?  I really don't want to have to re-type all that data again...I'm using Acrobat Pro 9 on a Win 7 pc...EDIT... I changed my reader to Acrobat DC and got the same result.  The data flashes across the fields then disappears.  I also e-mailed the form (completed) to another computer with the same result on opening.Thanks,Bob

I am new to Javascript programming in adobe.  I have a purchase req that needs to multiply the qty and the unit cost to get an extended cost.  I know I can do this in a simple calculation, but I also want fields that are zero to return blank.  the code I have so far is:event.value=(this.getField("QtyRow1").value * this.getfield("UnitCostRow1").value);If(event.value==0) event.value = "";neither stablemen is working.  The first does not seem to calculate and the second give me the missing; before statement 2 error...any help you can give would be great.
