When i am installing acrobat pro for PC, everything goes well but when it is close to finishing, at 99% a run time error pops up and force close the installation every time. Any one with the same experience and was able to solve it? Please share, thanks

My system is windows 7 64bit. I am using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro Version 11.0.14. When ever i try to update it it fails and says error 1328. It says "Error 1328.Error applying patch to file C:Config.Msi\PT9991.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can no longer be modified by this patch. For more information contact your patch vendor." any help would be awesome.

Hi,I have question about PDF structure or JavaScript. I have page with graphics object like this:q 0.999985 0.999985 0.999985 RG /a0 gs 0.5 w 2 J 0 j [] 0.0 d 3.25 M 40 980.602 1920 -941.387 re S QIn my task I used graphics for easy vector interactive maps. Is there way how to insert “variable” because I would like make small changes in map and map is too big. It is possible used multiple copies of graphics with small changes but why. I would like change fill color (0.999985 0.999985 0.999985 RG) or text contain.  My idea is prepare array with constants and during javascript set position in array and in graphics used this reference.Thank you.

While using the save as function, instead of getting a file explorer window I get a blank window. Just started today, it worked fine yesterday. Can anybody help?

Hello,I haven't played with JavaScript in a bit and I'm a novice at that.I have 9 fields that have a manual entry which is a percentage (I have the field set to 'NONE' format because the percentage format spits out too many zeros).Score1=15%Score2=10%etc.All fields must add up to 100% and display my TotalScore field.I can get any of my scripts to work.Please assist.Thank you

I just had Windows 10 installed on my computer and am trying to re-install Adobe Acrobat 8 that I purchased a few years ago.  Currently running Adobe Reader 11.  I keep getting the error message that my serial #  isn't valid, etc.  Adobe support is useless.Thanks,Raymond

Hi,I'm trying to reinstall this on a new computer and I know its the correct serial # and version, because I logged into by Adobe account and that is what is says.  However, it tells me that my serial number doesn't match the product, but it does.  Don't know what to do here???Thanks for any help!

I have a page with 6 buttons.  How do I change the action using javascript?

I am looking to use this feature as it is requested by a client, but I am unable to find one working example.  Is the 'search' PDF Open parameter still supported?  I need something like this to support my end-users.So if this works can I get some documentation on it besides the http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/PDFOpenParameters.pdf from 11 years ago and maybe some explanation of the limitation?

I need to find a good, in-depth, tutorial/reference for creating custom dialogs. One that starts at square one, not assuming I already know the Acrobat object model and Acrobat javascript intimately.I want to create a custom dialog that prompts the user via radio buttons for the folder they want to save the current document to.  It's not going to be very complex, but I want to do it right.I see numerous code samples here in the forums, but instead of trying to adapt examples I don't yet understand, I want a structured approach that will take me step by step through building my own.Christian Bahnsen

I use Adobe Distiller 9 to convert eps. files (from Quark XPress) to PDF files for printing of news magazine. i assume I have to download another Distiller program, but cannot find any way to do that. Need help.

Hi!We use password security to allow only printing of our PDF files. Modifications on the files are blocked. After converting files from .docx into .pdf, we need to open Acrobat XI Pro (running Windows 10) at File>Properties>Security Tab. There is the drop-down menu, and we select Password Protected. Acrobat then opens the window, where we need to select if we disable printing and modifications.Question: is there a way to change the printing and modification settings, so when selected Password Protected, Acrobat will open the new window already selected as "Printing High Quality" allowed and "Modifications" disabled?Any advice is welcome! 🙂

I'm having a problem with opening random pdfs with Acrobat Pro DC.  If I clicked on the pdf nothing happens.  If I open Acrobat then open the pdf, I get "Adobe Acrobat DC has stopped working".  It will open other pdfs.  I initially thought that is was a corrupted file but I can open the same pdf using Acrobat Pro XI without any issues. I have an Action I'm building.  The first Execute JavaScript action steps I added had a "Prompt User" checkbox I could uncheck.  The latest Execute JavaScript action steps I've added do not display the "Prompt User" checkbox and are opening the JavaScript Editor, which would confuse the user.Why aren't the new Execute JavaScript action steps displaying the "Prompt User" checkbox?ThanksChristian Bahnsen

Hi everyoneI got a PDF generated from another software. It creates pages that i don´t want/or can't print.I need help with a script that can search for words (going to be about 5 different words) and delete the page containing one of that words and the page before.I found a script here but it only deletes the page that contains the word.I´m also not sure how to add multiple words without coping the whole script and type a new word.Using this script nowfor (var p=this.numPages-1; p>=0; p--) {     for (var n=0; n<this.getPageNumWords(p); n++) {        if (this.getPageNthWord(p, n) == "WORD") {            this.deletePages(p);        }    }}Anyone got any good ideas to help me?

Hello!I was wondering, is there a way to use acrobats email function without attaching the file to the mail?I just want to mail some information regarding the file not the file itself since it usually is very heavy files I work with.But when I use this.mailDoc it automatically attaches the file.

I know nothing about how to do Java Script so I hope that this can be done...I want to have a drop down list named Service Code of about 30 different service codes (i.e. 90791). When a particular service code is selected I would like it to add a (1) one in another field named DAC. At that time I would like there to be a sum of all the 1's that had the 90791 codes selected.There are two other codes that will need to be added in separate fieldsThank you for your help it is much appreciated.Alex A.

Good morning Adobe community,Our current forms mapping is setup to display a member's name by the following order. Last,First,Middle in a single field (ie Johnson,Gary S). Where Last,First,Middle have their own column with character limit in our table dictionary. There is only a space between first name and middle.Char Limits for each column:Last 80First 20Middle 20I'm trying to break the names apart (similar to slice) and re-display the name in a single field such as: Gary S Johnson. Were each name char limit varies. Is this possible? I appreciate any assistance as this is beyond me. Phil
