Acrobat SDK

Thank you for your help with this.  I was happily using Acrobat Professional version 7.1 when my computer crashed and I needed to replace the hard disk. No problem, I restored everything important from backups, but when I tried to use Acrobat Professional it was disallowed due to "configuration change." Your  original post describes the problem, which I understand to be disallowance of registration. I have installed the "free version" provided by Adobe. But I cannot download the update to bring it to 7.1.0. I know Adobe wants me to buy a new version and I will for a new computer, but not this old one. I spent several hundred dollars on Acrobat Professional 7 and its all I need on this machine. Any help here? I need the update for Windows computer.Thanks-dar

Hello all,Im using Adobe Acrobat Standard DCI have been trying to figure this out all day and have a deadline approaching. I have very little knowledge in writing javascript so I am rather clueless.I am trying to figure out a script to run that allows my form boxes to highlight all the text in it upon clicking the box. Currectly where ever I click it drops my cursor, usually in the middle of a text string.I also need this to happen for all my text fields so I'm looking for something that I do not have to input the name of the field for every single box.After digging online I found this, but im not sure it will work for me.<script type="text/javascript"> function SelectAll(id) { document.getElementById(id).focus(); document.getElementById(id).select(); }Any help would be very much appreciated.

I moved.   When I moved, the HD of my PC got corrupted and I had to restore nearly everything from a backup.   When I did that, Acrobat must have lost something because now it keeps popping up a warning that says my copy is not genuine.  But it certainly IS genuine, and I've had it for years running fine until I moved.I have no idea where my manuals are or if I even took them with me when I moved.  I certainly did not take any installation materials.   I used to work in IT and didnt bother registering SW because I updated too frequently to bother.    Now I'm retired.  This is Abobe Acrobat X Pro.  How do I correct this problem and get rid of these nag popups from Adobe?

Have text and images (with alt text) displayed in Order panel and on page in correct reading order. However, when I ask Acrobat to READ OUT LOUD, it consistently reads the last alt tag image and then goes back to the top to read - and then skips other text on the screen - and on to Page 2. I have gone to Preferences and changed the Reading Order Options to every option and combination possible - saving the file as a different name each time to see if it changes the order. It does not. PLEASE HELP! I need to provide this document to a school system for a child.

I would like to be able to make a group of aternative-buttons unavailable if one does not click a specific check-box.Ex: Are you allergic?YESNOIf one checks the yes-box I would like the option of more boxes to be available, but that they are alternative, you can only pick ONE.If one checks the no-box, the alternatives under yes should not be clickable at all.Is this possible?And if not, is it possible to have the option to not check any of the alternative-boxes?

Good dayWhen looking at the "Output Preview" under Separations, I am seeing the CMYK options but I am also seeing a option called "Spaces Color" under Spot Plates.Spaces Color doesn't  show any colors when I switch it off, but it is influencing when I output the Color Bar on my CTP.Can anyone time me what the function is of "Spaces Color"regards Riaan

Ink Alias won't save - I am working on Acrobat X and have a pdf made from Quark - with two similar Spot colours. I am successfully aliasing on for the other in the Ink Manager, but when I save and reopen the file, it isnt aliased any more. Anyone know how I can save the alias?

Hi there,So i've been trying to print a square book (8'25 x 8'25) and I tried printing it on A3 paper so that there would be two pages per piece of paper. I do this on Adobe Acrobat Pro and use the "Booklet" setting when printing and the layout of my pages are all correct. However, the only problem I have when it prints out is the whitespace (Bleed?) in between my pages. The bleed on all the other sides of my booklet are ok because I can just trim them off however I can't trim off the white space in the middle (staple binding). Do I need to buy an upgrade to use the signature feature in Adobe Acrobat DC? I currently have Acrobat DC but when I click on Send for Signature it is asking me to upgrade.

When I scan a clean white document with black and red text, all the text is surrounded with gray boxes.  Any ideas?

I've exported a Filemaker multiple-page PDF out of which I wish to make a form. Is there a way to format all pages at once so I don't have to go through page by page to identify and format the form fields one by one?

Back in 2010 George_Johnson posted the script below, it lets you activate/deactivate fields with a password.  I tried it and it worked perfectly.  But when I had one of my friends try my document out, he just clicking away at the deactivated fields (buttons) trying to make them work.  I realized what I really need to do is hide them instead of deactivating them.  I was thinking this script below could be modified to show/hide instead of activate/deactivate, but I don't know enough about java yet to do it.  I started to try but I think I don't know enough yet.  My buttons that I would like to show/hide are X, Y, and Z.  Thank you George and/or anyone who has an idea on this.Zac B., Cypress CA(function () {     // Get one of the fields in the group    var f = getField("private.name");     // Determine new readonly state, which    // is the opposite of the current state    var rea

Starting with an InDesign (2015.4) document where I've created multiple checkbox fields on the page. I've modified the checkbox "On" appearance from the default black check mark, to a custom red "X". After exporting as an interactive PDF and testing the fields in Acrobat (both DC and Reader), the checkboxes function fine individually, but when more than one box is checked their appearance changes.Clicking a single checkbox adds the red "X" I created. However, clicking any additional checkbox after that adds the red "X" to that box, BUT any previously clicked box or boxes switch from the red "X" to a black check mark.Has anyone encountered this glitch before?

I have an action script that adds files in a directory to a batch does OCR, Unskews the pages, encrypts the file, and saves it with the word secure as a suffix to the file name.  This works no problem.  The issue I am having is that I can't figure out how to write a script to skip any documents with secure in the filename.  I tried variations on the following:function getDocName(){if (event.target.documentFileName.contains(secure)){ app.setTimeOut('event.target.closeDoc(true);', 1);} else {   return null; }}orfunction getDocName(){if (event.target.documentFileName.contains(secure)){ event.rc = 0;} else {   return null; }}

I have 2 CMYK files with identical CMY part of the document, but different K part. Is there any way, or maybe even plugin that can replace K plate of one document with K plate from other document? Maybe there is a way to add it as fifth color?

I purchased Adobe Pro DC but when I open up a PDF it still shows me the "Learn More" tab when I try to "Edit the Text."  I am signed in and everything.  Am I missing something?

I just transferred  Acrobat 7 Pro from my old IMac to my new Imac with El Capitan and the Acrobat Icon now has a cross on it. Do I need to upgrade, reinstall or what?

I created a file in Publisher 2016 and used an image as a background with text on top. I adjusted the image to 70% transparency so it's nice and light as a background. After saving my file as a .pub I did a 'save as' to make a .pdf file to send via email. I do this ALL THE TIME without ever having a problem.For the last week or so when I have done this, the pdf has the background image as 0% transparency leaving the text unreadable. I have tried the following:restarting my computer (Windows 10)using 0% transparency but adjusting the brightness and contrast of the imageunchecking the button "ISO 19005-1 compliant (PDF/A)" which was a suggestion I found someplace online when I googled the problemtrying to 'print to pdf' instead of 'save as pdf' (when I print straight from Publisher to my printer, the image prints as I intended - as a light background image)updating my Adobe pdf softwarebegging, crying, cursing and offering up my first-born child to the computer godsThanks for any help!!

I'm using the Merge Data Files Into Spreadsheet tool to create a CSV File, and it works great for what I need, but I was wondering if there was a way to choose with fields to export. I need all the information for the PDF but not all of it is necessary for a condensed file I also need to create.
