Adobe Media Encoder

I have noticed for the past couple days that all my adobe apps are using 100% CPU for exporting and almost none of m dedicated Nvidea 1660ti. I have it set to use Nvidea card under programs in Nvidea display setting. I have  the playback engine set to CUDA and hardware acceleration on as well. There's nothing more I can think of. These exports are GPU intensive as well which is why I am confused and upset because my renders are taking about an hour.    

i rendered 2 videos:1920 x 1080, 2 min, 90mb110 x 1080, 2 min, 90mb as well (like a vertical stripe) i rendered both with same settings H.265  why does second video have same size as the first? the second one is like a vertical stripe, so in theory i thought it would have smaller size after rendering, why does this occur and how to fix it?  

My question is:- Is Adobe media Encoder able to convert the mp3 tags as "metadata" automatically when exporting in the mp3 format?>>> If yes: how should we adjust the assimilation parameters? ie. "preconfiguration" panel under "File metadata"> "Add metadata to the file"> "create a new preconfiguration" add a metadata key? (I tried "artist" "artist" "title" "title", "comment" "description" ... nothing works>>>> If not:a / how can i make so that the mp3 tags are preserved in the end... even if I do not check the box "Metadata of the file", I end up with a file whose tag "title" was modified with the filename ... and other tags ... emptyb / with what type of file does the "metadata" setting work? for what type of metadata?Before calling the support community I of course went through all the tutorials which are not PRECISE ENOUGH on the subject ...thank you in advance for your response(s),

In Edit, Preferences, Media, I have changed the cache file locations to a different drivebut it still fills up my C: folder of files anywayI have cleaned the media cache database and it just fills back upI have build 12.1 build 171whats the problem?

Hi. In AME Scripting Guide, in the Return description of point5.1.6 EncoderHost.createEncoderForFormat() mentions the encode(src,dst) method, which sets the source and result files.But this command doesn't actually work:(Adobe Extendscript Toolkit)The encode(src, dst) method is absent in the methods and properties of the Encoder class instance.How to set the source and destination files before the EncoderHost.runBatch command()? 

Hi.However, the H265 codec is missing in the Media Encoder program.This is very important for me. Please help. I have a new MacBook Pro and have been running the latest Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encorder. For some reason, its starting to export my finals at a very slow rate. I had a 1 minute video that it taking 8 hours to export. It was working fine the other day, I haven't made any changes to my computer or settings, just been working on editing the footage when I ran into this extremely frustrating issue. I have a client that is waiting for a 55 minute project I want to export but it says it will take 20 hours to export. I also find it weird that on Media Encorder, when it did elapsed my 55 mins video (in one attempt) the elapse bar doesn't move and the render time increases. Please help me. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both PP and AME. No luck. I'm using AME CC 2018 version 12.12.Every time I export a H.264 video with bitrate setting below 1 Mbps, the output's total bitrate is always around 3 Mbps. I tried with 0.9 Mbps, 0.6, 0.4.. it's still the same When I set it to 1 Mbps and 1.1 Mbps, it exported correctly. I never get this problem in the previous version of AME.Why does it happen and is there a way to fix this?

I can see the right previews (in AE and Premiere) and the audio its ok. But as soon as i want to export in Media Encoder the background music channel its ok, but the voice its like 2 seconds late. I tried almost everything but still cant get a good MP4 render. Any advice?

HiAnyone good at M2V encoding and have some experience in that?Would like to compare two files, and see what is the difference between them, if any.For example if there´s diff in MPEG-2 structure or GOP structure.Is there any software for that kind of task? thanksMarcos

Hello everyone, i'm trying to create a button on a premiere panel that would check if all the current jobs that were queued to be renderd in Adobe Media Encoder have finished. Then it would return either True or False back to the panel. For some reason, I cannot add any After Effects compositions to the queue in Adobe Media Encoder. When I try to add something to the queue, it either produces the error message "file format is not supported" or tries to connect to Dynamic Link server and says "file could not be opened". I am using AE v 17.1 and AME v 13.1.5 and have not updated either piece of software recently. In fact, it was working fine yesterday, before I shut down my Macbook Pro. It's worth noting that a few months ago, I had a similar problem with AME 14.x (connecting to Dynamic Link forever or displaying the same "file could not be opened" message), but I solved the problem somehow by reverting to v 13.1.5.

Help! Ok, so I have a gif that's too big, but in proportion. I was able to downsize it to the correct proportion using the Animated gif option in ME, but in the original I have the last "scene" sitting there for a couple of seconds before it loops so it's readable. And yet when I converte it in ME, it cuts those last two seconds off. It clips it right as the last animation ends and it loops then. How do I make it not do that? Thanks. 

I have a ton of 60FPS APR (Apple Pro Res) 422 files. I want to package it at 24FPS. I don't want to conform to 24 FPS because I don't want to lose those frames. I want to interpret that footage at 24FPS so it playback slower. Easy. Seems to me I shouldn't need to re-render everything in order to make this change. Seems like an adjustment to the time base of a file is an under the hood solve. If I remember correctly, long ago, you could do this with something like compressor. 

Hello,I have lost the option to use TS multiplexer in the 2018 AME. I was using version 2017.1.2 (Build 11.1.2.35) AME for a years. My preset is based on a H.264 Blu-ray format. My presets for daily workflow have migrated to AME 2018. However, some of my presets no longer encode a .m2t file. They are demuxed .wav and .m4v. I need to encode .m2t files for my media server. What has changed and why? Any help would be great. I can email you my preset to make this clear if need be. Thank you!

To my dismay when I activated an Adobe font for a Premiere Pro project title it cancelled, STOPPED the render in Media Encoder on another project I was doing in the background! I have just lost a 5 hour render. Wow, that is a bug!  I simply wanted to type in a Premiere title in the Nobel font like I had seen in Acrobat PDF. The font was not available on my system so I went to activate it in my Creative Cloud. It then crashed Media Encoder!   

So this is the specs that I need a preset file for but I am having an issue finding the settings for this. Specifically the GOP settings and the video stream type. I am not sure if Media Encoder is capable of this level of control or not.. The source files are mp4 and need to be converted to mpeg2, any help/suggestion is welcome. Thanks!!

Hello! I've been running into the error code "-1609629695" on and off recently (solved it previously by recording the playback in full resolution and adding that mp4 to my main composition in ae) but this time it completely freezes my computer. Here are my system specs: i5 9400Nvidia RTX 2060 Super16GB DDR4 I've already tried reinstalling AE and AME, updating them to the latest versions, and copy-pasting everything into a new composition.

My memory isn't what it used to be, but it seems to me that I converted some MOV files to MP4 just a couple of days ago. Why does it happen now that when I try to do this I get the message "the source compression type is not supported". Really? What with the current deprecation of MOVs, isn't there a huge demand for converting them to MP4s? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Literally, I have to duplicate the same export 3-4 times before it finally successfully exports. I'm waiting so long for something to export, and then it fails, wasting all of my time. Please fix this issue, it's getting really annoying at this point. 

Hi everyone, I am unable to export my video on Adobe Premiere Rush (not Adobe Premiere Pro) when I try to an error message comes up, please see the image below. I was using version 1.5.20 and it should be up to date. I have had to install an older version to export. 

Hi everyone, I rendered an image sequence with the media encoder and wanted to rerender only frame 300 - 500. Unfortunately, the new rendered sequence is always starting at frame 0000 and not 0300.  Is there any trick how to change it? Thanks a lot for your helpAnna

Hello!I've been having an issue with AME where the render is very off from the preview in AE. I will have my video edited just the way I want it, but then when the render is completed, the final product is completely off from the preview. I'm simply adding captions to a very short video (under two minutes), but the words are off from the audio every time. I've tried restarting my computer and closing out the programs and changing a few things in the edit, but nothing is working. I think perhaps the visual got sped up where the audio stayed the same? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

every time i try to export, no matter the format or what not, it crashes on exactly the same frame each time. im guessing that frame is corrupt or something but i have no idea how to fix it and its driving me mad. help me before i go insane please i am on windows 10 using the CC 2019 version.

In my PDFs, I want to either embed or link to video clips that readers can study one frame at a time (they're short sign language videos where one must look for subtle events). So far the only standard video viewing app with this capability that I know of is Quicktime, but this is now deprecated, requiring lots of time-consuming workarounds on my part. If there's another video viewing app that can accomplish frame-by-frame viewing, my life would be easier since I could just tell my readers to make that the default for MP4s (although presumably I'd have to link to it in PDFs instead of embedding it).
