i've been trying to render my aep for the last two days and it either gets stuck connecting to the dynamic link server, or stops encoding half way through. its a very simple video as well and only 10 seconds long.
I've been trying to render a very simple project for the past 20 minutes and it's still stuck on this bar...I've tried restarting computer, reinstalling, everything. What is going on?
Adobe CC updated my Media Encoder App and removed the old one. I'm using AE 16.1.3 and now I can't export to Media Encoder because the newer version doesn't support the previous version of AE. In the "Older verseions" is only 14.9 which doesn't work with AE 16.1.3. I have a lot preferences and workflow setups in this version of AE which I'd rather not migrate to the newest version. I am paying a subscription for CC so why can't I get the app version that I need?
Oh, that explins why for two days I have almost no existing/intermittent connection with the Dynamic Link server and I have lost many hours trying to troubleshoot, uninstalled both AE and AME (twice) AND I am on a deadline. Someone mentions removing plugins below but I cannot replicate. Help.
Is anyone else finding the lastest update to be very slow on the render to media encoder?
Last week I had a large project that required me to create and export dozens of hour-long videos. The videos are created in Premiere Pro and encoded using Adobe Media Encoder. I use the same saved preset settings for all of my exports and it normally takes 20 minutes to render an hour long video. Last week, I also updated Premiere and Media Encoder to the 2021 version. Yesterday I attempted to export a couple more videos and suddenly Media Encoder has some sort of horrible leak where it was taking 2 hours to export, and then when I left it to render overnight, I woke up and the renders had not finished and the one it was on was saying 6 hours to finish. I reverted back to the 2020 versions of Premiere and Media Encoder, but it did not solve the issue. Trying to export it via Premiere did not help either. I'm running Adobe on a Windows 10 PC. Are there any workarounds in place to solve this issue temporarily?
In the past, I used to use Media Encoder to stitch mulitple videos (AE comps) together. The functionalty doesn't seem to work anymore. I would click on a AE project and then it would ask me which comp I wanted to use and I click on the comp and then I could open up another AE project and select another AE comp, etc. All I get now is a single comp and/or the spinning wheel. Any insight on making this work! I don't want to render out each one individually and then bring them into ME.
Hi all,Since the last update of AfterEffects/PremierePro and Media Encoder I get the following error by exporting an updated PremierePro file via Media Encoder: Schreiben mit Exporter: H.264Dateityp wird geschrieben: H264Um Timecode: 00:05:52:19Rendering bei Offset: 351,600 SekundenKomponente: H.264 vom Typ ExporterSelektor: 9Fehlercode: -1609629695 The export of the same file worked already last year. I've tried rendering via Software engine, turn off the parallel coding at preferences, uninstall and reinstall all three programs. I also tried export as a QuickTime it also failed. I'm grateful for any help. Thank you very much in advance. GreetsRalf
Hi ThereWe have recently update all machines to Encoder 15, as well as updating premiere and all Macs to Big sur. And we are having alot of problems rendering mp4 H264. At the moment we recording many webinar/meeting and editing for our clients. Since the update the H264 render are loosing lip sync and the only work around is to render out quicktime, prores lt ususally, which keeps sync and then rendering the quicktime mov, in other (none adobe) software, to mp H264. This is massively time consuming. Can anyone help pleasethanksalex
Since installing Media Encoder 2021 my renders are black videos... or sometimes I get imagery, and then the imagery is frozen for the remainder of the duration of the video.
Adobe Media Encoder (with After Effects) stopped working enterily after updating Mac OS to Big Sur. Does anyone know how to fix this or will I have to wait Adobe update and fix this potential bug? Thanks in advance 🙌
Hello, I have edited a video using AE and in the preview looks great. When I try and export it with either Pr or Me the quality changes dramatically. My export settings seem to be ok, what am I doing wrong? Thank you!!!
Hello everyone, I've been encoding vidoes for youtube, using the H.264 Youtube 4k option in Premiere, and queuing to AME. The start of my video includes some heavy lifting MOGRTS, 13 seconds of which takes about an hour to render/encode. My machine powers through the intro in an hour, and then begins working on the basic video cut together with text/image overlays. This is a snap of the intro title screen that takes a while to render: Then the AME encoder gets to this part of the video just fine: But freezes while trying to render basic text with a drop shadow: In AME, the encoding process seems to freeze entirely (the Elapsed and Remaining times are static, and no progress seems to be made): I am relatively new to exporting using the Premiere Queue -> AME feature, I ususally just export in Premiere and wait for it to finish. I have replicated this problem three times now (with the same project, restarting the export process each time)
I see it has completely broken being able to export at a CBR using Hardware Acceleration.
I've seen a couple of posts refer to this but none of the set ups related to our situation and consequently their solutions didn't help ours either. In the past my students rendered from AE in an H.264 format so that they had a little Quicktime movie to watch their work, share their work, and submit their work. Now AE recommends using Media Enconder to do this. When we do it however it spools fine but the final result, when played back, is a black screen that's the length of their project but none of their project is there. I've even had results where it spooled and played back correctly once but then after that it only rendered black screen video. Same files. Same settings. Different results. Can't get the process to run correctly each and every time. Very inconsistent. We've also experienced that ME doesn't handle AE files with multiple compositions. Again, in the past, when exported to a quicktime file directly AE had no problem with this. Now it wants to render the compositions
This is really putting me in a jam not being able to export with a CBR using Hardware Accel.

HiCan anyone please tell me how to encode with the following specs? It seems that Media Encoder can't do it. Any suggestions, please? I do not know where to look anymore, and now that rollbacks to 14.3.2 are no more a thing, I'm seriously cornered. When I export my sequences from Premiere 2020 14.3.2 (they are .mov files captured from OBS and exported in h264), the export time is around 20 minutes: GPU usage is almost always capped at 90%.When I do it since any further update, EVEN the 15.0... It becomes an hour, with GPU under 50%.I do have hardware encoding and CUDA on, with a Nvidia 2080S.I really do NOT know what to do. Things are less diverse between versions when turning off hardware and GPUs encodings, but then everything goes far beyone 50 minutes.
Everytime i Export in Priemire pro or Media Encoder it gets stuck on 100 everytime. im a noob at this so idk whats the problem. even if im trying to export more cuts at the time the first one always gets stuck at 100. im working with 40min to 1 hour long videos idk if thats the problem
Im struggling with how to title this question but i'm wondering, is it possible to transcode a PNG/whatever image file sequence if the file structure is, yyyy002, yyyy004, yyyy006 etc... because when i select all of the files, Media encoder assumes its a direct progression from the first file to the last (IE it assumes it goes 2 3 4 5 6 etc..) so when it encodes, every missing frame shows up as that creepy red error screen. You know what im talkin about? Is thier a way to tell media encoder to just render the files sequentially and not look for non-existent frames? this comes from me exporting a png sequence from c4d and then transcoding in ME, but obv my c4d export was done as a png sequence, every 2nd frame for 46 frames. HOpe this makes sense and thank you 🙂
Hello Everyone! does anyone have any presets or suggestions for creating presets I can use for exporting short-form content from Media Encoder for Tik Tok, IG, and Linkedin? I have a gig editing video for those platforms, and I noticed that there are FB presets already, but no presets for these platforms. Thank you for your assistance.
For the past few months my Media Encoder almost never works with AE. I have to render in AE and drop that mov into ME for an mp4.There's the dynamic link errors and something about no connection. I think my laptop is no longer equiped to handle AE and ME. Any help would be very awesome. ThanksChris
After updating Adobe Creative Cloud today I found out that AME doesn't render vst effects. Export from Premiere Pro works fine.Is there a fix for this? I'm usint Windows 10.Thanks
Hi everyone, I'm having a few different issues but they're all related to trying to get DXVs exported through the encoder. The first problem I'm having is that the files are being exported as .movs. I *do* have the Resolume plug in for the DXV format. If it helps solve the problem, I'm having the same issue with Resolume Alley (Resolume's own media encoder)How do I get these programs to export in DXV? (this only applies if I have to use .movs) The second problem I'm having is that some of the footage I exported is showing up as being half a gig, while other files of the same length are much smaller. I did both of these exports back to back and as far as I can tell I didn't do anything different between the two. They look identical when I look at their properties in every way except their size. How do I get these to export in a proper size? Thanks in advance for the help
