Hey all..I need to encode a bunch of clips from various folders and the IT person wants to be able to allocate space on the file server before the render starts..Is there an option for me to do that within Adobe Media Encoder for estimated job output size? Please let me know as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!! PS... I know there is this site but I need to have this done on a massive and as accurate scale as possible.Video Space Calculator - Digital Rebellion
Hi, I have a Dell XPS 13 (9350) with Intel HD Graphics 520. For a year I exported in Media Encoder with hardware acceleration and it worked flawlessly. After replacing the stock m.2 sata drive with a pcie drive, hardware acceleration is no longer available and export times are about 25% longer. Any ideas? Thank you for any thoughts on this.

Since updating to 2017 media encoder I cannot seem to export a h.264 YouTube video. I have to export the video inside premiere pro which is fine but its so much quicker exporting with encoder. the video will get maybe 3/4 through and just pop up saying cannot continur and must close the program. So annoying! Does anybody have this problem Or a fix?
Hi,Finally got around to updating to AME 2017.0.2 today from the 2015 version. Now when rendering GoPro media to XDCAM50i it doesn't render the audio... totally mute when it's finished. The GoPro audio is AAC - 2015 release had no issues dealing with this.
When I'm exported my scene AE in Media encoder, I have this result. I don't understand this problem. In my composition, all files is correct...Could you please help me to resolve this problem.Thanks.
Hello again I have read a few way of doing this but I have not been able to do it with the info I got and can't find anything in the FAQBut I understood that Media encoder should remember the last export folder you used and make it the new default. However I have done this many time but still get the wrong export folder and I have to change it manually every use! It's not a big deal but if you forget your export media is somewhere else, yes that unchangeable folder. So I hope someone has the answer Thank you.MM
I just updated to the most recent version of Media Encoder CC. When I try to export media from Premier Pro (File > Export > Media > Queue) I get this error message: "Adobe Media Encoder is not installed. Please download and install it to use this feature. Go to https://creative.adobe.com/apps"I have Media Encoder open right now, so I KNOW it is installed. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Media encoder, and I have tried restarting my machine. Neither has worked. How can I fix this? Is it possible to go back to a previous version?
Hi, I'm using AME strictly for encoding videos. Is there a way so that it can delete source files after encoding is completed? Thanks for reply.

Hi,since upgrading to the latest version, my exported files are way bigger than before.Example: a commercial of 20 seconds was exported at 1280x720 3mbps CBR and became about 8MB. When I export the same commercial with the same preset after the upgrade the file becomes 42MB!Maybe a bug in the upgrade?Jan
i am using Adobe Flash Media live Encoder 3.2 I am streaming live to Facebook at our church. I am using a Cannon XH A1 connected through FireWire. The PC is an hp Quad Core with 8 megs of Ram. Our internet is 75 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload. I need a constant stream. My bit rate is 2000 Kbps I went down to 1000 no change.
I rely on Media Encoder for my work and thought that the problem would resolve itself once I updated. But I'm still very much in need of fixing this issue. When I send a project for encoding to ME from Premiere or After Effects it doesn't show up for exporting. However, after sometime it does sometimes appear in Media Encoder, why and how I don't know. But for my purposes is not currently a usable option, I have to export in Premiere, which isn't terrible, just slows me down a little. Or the Renderer in AE, which is forcing me to create very large files, several gigs, instead of 200mb.Thanks for any help!
I have recorded a lot of footage both RAW (hyperlapse) and Video (AVCHD). For the video shots I have used framerates of 23.976 and 59.976 for slow motion. Before I went on the shoot I quickly had to set up a camera with some settings and set it to Adobr rgb, because someone said so.However, now that I have read my way around different color spaces and the AVCHD codec, I found out that using Adobe RGB may have not been the best idea in terms of postproduction complications. Also I want to transcode the footage to a better performing codec and therefore decided to transcode to eather a cineform yuv 10 bit or rgba 12 bit (windows system).I know that I could work on the footage natively in premiere, but I have plenty storage space and would like to increase the performance. Also, I am planning to do lots of grading as well as time remapping, masking and transitions in after effects without losing more quality. Now I have the following question: Might it happen that if I use prelude and adob
Hi there,I have the following problem:When ever I start to render something with AME (wheather from Premiere or After Effects) the program doesn't use my full RAM capacity, even I allowed the Adobe programms to use it in the preferences.See these pictures, taking during a rendering-process:It doesn't depend on rendering settings.I'm using a Windows 10 Lenovo P50 laptop. Intel Core i7.I am assuming that my render process could run faster with the not used 5GB RAM, am I right? Can somebody help me? Thanks very much in advance.Regards,Christoph
I'm a DIT and one of my job duties is to export lowres proxies with timecode burned on for transcription purposes. So i'm exporting anywhere from 5 to 100+ files at a time. When i put on the timecode overlay effect over multiple selected files at once using the 'Generate Timecode' option it defaults to 0:0:0:0 on all the clips. I have to go to each file and swap to the 'Media File' option then back to get the proper timecode overlay. Even then sometimes AME doesn't collect the proper timecode.Am i doing something wrong when trying to apply this overlay to multiple files at a time? Or is this just a 'feature' of the software?
Hello,I have audio that I captured from a 1990 VHS concert of a group I was in. First, I made a copy of the 32-bit (float)/48kHz raw file. I then performed the cleanup and editing in Audition CS6 (with no alteration of the file length), saving the finished, master file as 24-bit/48kHz. In Premiere Pro CS6, I imported the video file (and its raw audio track), along with the edited audio file into the sequence. After syncing the edited audio with the video's original audio, I unlinked the video and audio, deleted the original audio, then replaced and linked the new audio to the video as Audio 1. The video is going to have several destinations, i.e., YouTube and Vimeo, DVDs, and possibly Blu-ray (yes, I know there's the issue with SD). Here's my question: Based upon the destination, should I perform all of the audio encoding in Audition first, then import into Premiere before exporting from Media Encoder? In a nutshell, I wish to export a video with audio in Dolby Digital (ac3), one in MP
Where can I download Adobe Media Encoder CS6 update patch file?I am told this application and version needs patching to latest
Hello,I am exporting my film and a festival requires my film to be delivered in ProRes 422 1080p at 23.97 FPS. When exporting at these settings, Premiere and Media Encoder both fail and crash at the same point in the film and "failed to render current frame". The export even crashes when I try to export the film with its native frame rate (29.97). Any idea why this keeps crashing or how to get around this? I have uninstalled and re-installed Media Encoder and cleared the cache. My film's sequence settings are:1920x1080Square pixels29.97 FPS drop-frameAttempted Export Settings1920x1080Apple Pro Res 422Square Pixels23.97 FPSMy Computer's Settings:MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)Professor 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7Memory 16 GB 1600 MHz DDr3Graphics Intel Iris Pro 1536 MBThis project exports in H.264 just fine in CC 16 but ever since CC 17, it's had trouble exporting, and the festival is requiring ProRes 422 in order for it to screen. Any help would be much appreciated
Since I updated yesterday, none of my renders in the AME renders audio with video. I rebooted, still nothing. I uninstalled and reinstall, and rebooted... nothing. I have to render everything out of PP. UPDATE: I can send from PP to the AME and render successfully. I just cannot drag files into AME and expect it to render with audio.
What export settings would you use to get a web friendly file, out of a movie with a transparent background? It's a short animation (2 secs) at 1920x1440 size. I need to export it with rgb+alpha, so I chose the png codec, which output a 44mb sized file.Is it possible to get it under 10mb somehow?[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can connect with your peers for conversations that don't directly relate to product help and support) to a product-specific support forum - moderator]
Hi there.Basicly I have a problem with my media encoder at progam launch while quick time exporter pluginns loading...I had a critical issue with my system and had to change hdd drives. I reinstall system, quicktime, cs6 mc and other programs I need. When this problem occured, I download setup files from adobe and try to reinstall it again. But this time, system says, something like, "it would be a crack file or something, please refer to asobe" or so...I did not chechk all of them but, after effects, illustrator and photoshop working properly...But the encoder...Would you please help me, because I need to use it at least 5-10 times a day...Regards.
I know AME picks up the last preset used and applies it to all subsequent import. After the import (like 100 of files), I decided to use a different preset.I know highlighting the files in the queue and double click the preset on the preset panel would ADD a new preset. But I want to change the preset, not adding one.
I have a top-of-the-line Mac Pro(late 2013, macOS Sierra, 12core, 64GB, 1TB SSD, Firepro D700)It works fine on the PC, but when I export it using Premiere or Media Encoder on my Mac Pro, the CPU usage is only 20 ~ 30%.I'd appreciate it if you could tell me how to fix it.
