What i am trying to do is to have PC 1 and PC 2 in my workflow. I use premiere pro on PC1 and i would like to render/export using PC2 . First I tried it went well ( at least the trial footage) but never worked again for some reason. WHat i did was i set up on PC 2 the media encoder to have a watch folder, i set up the preset and i saved " a copy" from my PC 1 premiere pro project file to the watch folder. However first time i saw the encoding takes place nicely, it has the red triangle on the bottom right and offline media is what the error seems to be. My question if i have to save my foogage too on PC2? if yes, to where ?, as i was told in the watch folder only the root is being watched, any subfolder is being ignored. any thoughts?

Hello all, I do video work for a Ballet company, including filming performances and creating and maintaining the archive. Previously my workflow was to render out a master file, and then create versions from that; i.e. I'd render out a Quicktime h.264 master at a data rate of 20mbps. Then from that file I'd re-export DVDs, small size Mp4s, etc. One of the reasons I did this is that I could include my chapter markers in the Quicktime file and credit info, which was very convenient. I also keep the original video files. Now since Apple announced they wouldn't be supporting Quicktime for Windows anymore I have been looking for an alternative master file. I've tried DNxHR and Cineform, but those file sizes are HUGE! I currently shoot with two Canon c100 Mark ii, which capture at a data rate of 24mbps, so I definitely don't need a master file at a higher bit rate than the original footage. I don't have the storage capacity to handle a gig per each minute of footage, which has roughly been th
Hello,I think the AME lacks certain features like saving renderlists and it is hard to manage large projects with it. And sometimes AME seems to be unreliable. Are there any alternatives to AME, especially ones which can be incorporated with the workflow of Adobe Premiere Pro CC just like with AME? Or is there anything I miss?Thank you in advance!
When I add my After Effects composition (CC2018 15.1) to Adobe Media Encoder (v 12.1), the visuals (photoshop layers) are not showing up. Just black screen.I tried following this answer: Adobe Media Encoder not showing Exports from Premiere Changing adobe to 'OldAdobe' in all those places but no dice.
Steps to reproduce (on Os X El Capitan)1) Open Media Encoder CC 20182) Drag a video file (e.g. .mp4)3) click on the codec or preset link of the file4) after window opens, click on the "format" or "preset" drop-downs, under export settings.Outcome:The window would lose focus, no drop-down menu appears.EDIT: I upgrade to OS X High Sierra and the feature works as expected. So it's a bug on El Capitan and possibly Sierra
I installed the latest version of Media Encoder CC (12.1.1). As a result my imported presets no longer work. With the newest update to AME I saw the new "performance" tab with "Hardware Accelerated" and "Software Only"As a part of my standard render settings I use "2-Pass VBR" when I do this I notice that the performance tab is automatically switched to "Software Only" I tried using 1-pass VBR and I was able to use "Hardware Accelerated"My question is what exactly is "Hardware Accelerated", what does it do and how can I have it enabled with 2-Pass VBR?I rendered a video with 1-Pass VBR while using "Hardware Accelerated" and I noticed that my GPU was at a higher utilization than what it was before or when I'm forced to use "Software Only" Does "Hardware Accelerated" use the GPU more efficiently than without it turned on? I know that when using the CUDA renderer it uses my GPU for certain tasks such as color changes and other effects but it generally has no impact on the normal render encode time for videos without effects. Somehow this "Hardware Accelerated" setting makes my video encode quick
Since a few days my Media encoder cc 2018 won't start up anymore. I did a re-install but without result.Somebody knows a solution?
When i'm exporting the video in Media Encoder de video wil not export with captionsIn Premiere there is no problem, but in Encoder it wil not appear in the video.Someone the same problem?
Hi can anyone please help me with this issue, it seems that adobe media encoder is having a weird on and off bug where it would rendered the transparent object very wrongly. You can see the image above https://i.imgur.com/wxiueTR.png the watermarklogo has a transparent resolution of 1920 x 1080 the weird thing is that it has this weird greyed out overlay Sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't. Is their something wrong right now with media encoder with the h264 vimeo HD 1080p preset?
I understand that in order to take advantage of the new Hardware Encoding during Export (Encoding Settings/Performance/Hardware Accelerated), you need a processor that features Intel's Quick Sync Video. My Intel i7 6950X does not. Is there any other way to enable the hardware setting (mine is grayed out)? I have an nVIDIA Titan X Pascal video card, which of course enables Hardware decoding w/Mercury Transit, but is there a way to use my video card for Harware Encoding in AME?
I have downloaded media encoder, but the Settings options is not available. Can anyone help please? I'm trying to use the encoder to create offline files.
Just downloaded 12.1. 120. worked fine, but in 121 I send a timeline to Media Encoder from Premiere, and it loads in the queue. I then press start to encode the file and nothing happens. Encoder just sits and doesn't encode the file. Then I press the stop button, then I try to close AME and I have to force quit it to close the program.I have trashed the preferences and restarted my machine multiple times, all to have the same issue.Machine specsMAC OS X El Capitan 10.11.6MacPro (mid 2010)2x2.66 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon64 GB 1333MHz DDR3 ECCGraphics ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024mbAny help would be greatly appreciatedThanks
Hello everyone,I recently updated to the latest Premiere Pro version 12.1.1 but ever since I did that Premiere only uses the CPU to render.12.0 did use around 60% of my CPU and some % of the GPU but after the update 0% GPU and 100% CPU.While this is not a problem by itself, the rendering got a bit slower tho. When exporting the encoding option only gives me "Only software" and I can't change that.My system:Win10Intel i7-8700kGTX 1080ASRock Extreme416GB DDR4 RAMIs there a way to enable GPU assisted rendering again? Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,I'm having an issue exporting my video. There's no edits and only 3 clips. The video is roughly 45 minutes long and I've tried a lot of different "solutions". I can't export from either Premiere or Media Encoder. Each time the video will export to anywhere from 20%-60% then the estimated time increases and the preview turns red (see image). The computer is a Predator Helios 300 GTX 1060 15gb GPU Core i7
Media encoder won't open, it says "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue"Please I need to resolve this issue ASAP! thanks! I already uninstalled and re-installed, I am working with a MacPro and Mac OSierra
With older versions of AME (before v.12), I could render out a half-hour MOV file with captions embedded and the file size would be around 2 to 2.5GB. My old codec is no longer available, thanks to Adobe and Apple having a pissing contest, and Adobe dropping support of 32-bit Quicktime codecs. So now, my MOV file sizes are coming out 20 to 25GB, some even as big as 45GB! This is completely unacceptable, since it will take me 3 days to upload a file that size to my stations! I'd like to embed the captioning, but the only other choice is an MXF file, and the TV stations I send these files to look at the file like a cow looks at a new gate! So, am I stuck sending an MP4 file with a SCC sidecar file for my captions? Is there any other option that will get me a reasonable sized file with embedded closed captions?I should mention that I tried using the DNxHD, Animation, and DVCPro presets. I'm also irritated that there is no way to change the video b
Hi guys,I'm having a pretty serious issue that's been occurring for about 2 weeks now and no amount of searching on the internet yields any solutions or even any similar situation.Intel Core i7-5820K, GTX750Ti, 64GB DDR4-2133Windows 7 Professional with latest updatesCreative Cloud with latest updatesPremiere Pro 12.0.1 Build 69Encoder 12.0.1 Build 64The problem is, no matter the source of the files being rendered (be it directly dropped in to transcode or an output from an AE or PP project), it will render exactly one file before crashing with the generic "report to Adobe" dialog. The input formats for transcode is usually 50fps MP4 AVC 8- or 10-bit and the output is regular H.264 and/or DNxHD 1080p 50fps SQ. It seems to be a problem with this machine only, on another machine with also the exact same software parameters (i7-3820, 32GB, 750Ti), it not only renders without issue but more than twice as quickly. Can someone advise please?
Is it possible to convert a H.265 video to VP9 so that the video can be uploaded to Youtube? It is a long 4k video so I don't want to encode again from Premiere Pro as that took over 150 hours. I am not familiar with AME and wondering if there is a faster way like transcoding?Thank you.
Hello everyone, i need to finish important project for my business and my media encoder is preventing me to do so.Here is the detailed problem, i have recorded 1920x1080 60 fps footage, converted it to 1920x1080 30 fps and applied couple of effects to it.When i try to render the footage the render crashes right about 20% of render and the message i get is this: "interrupted by user" but i haven't touched my PC during rendering, i also closed all the programs besdes Media Encoder. - Source File: C:\Users\Marko\Desktop\Pixel .aep - Output File: C:\Users\Marko\Desktop\saved_1.mp4 - Preset Used: 1080 * 30 - Video: 1920x1080 (1.0), 30 fps, Progressive, 00:00:27:25 - Audio: AAC, 320 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo - Bitrate: CBR, Target 15.00 Mbps - Encoding Time: 00:00:4403/25/2018 01:11:29 PM : Encoding FailedThe Operation was interrupted by user - Encoding Time: 00:03:3603/25/2018 01:18:28 PM : Encoding FailedExport ErrorError compiling movie. I've been experiencing a problem lately with sending a group of sequences from premiere to the encoder, encode them in h.264/match source-adaptive high bitrate only to get video that is exceptionally poor. the video is blocky, doesnt play all frames, skips/repeats frames. the quality is reminiscent to that of old cellphone video, or 56K streamed footage. When i export the same sequence from premiere directly, i get the correct full-res version. This was never a problem before until the last couple of weeks. The premiere sequences exported are mostly after effects compositions, and I prefer to export them via encoder as a batch export. I can send it out and not worry about it for 30 minutes. Sending from premiere makes it a pain now as i have to sit through every individual sequence and wait for each one to finish. Nothing has changed in the sequence settings, or in the AE composition settings. I am running the latest updated versions of CC 2018 for all adobe programs.Computer inf
