Bit of a story...I am attempting to render a 17 second HD animation from AE. I set it up in AME first as a DNX file. AME said it was going to take 5 hours. I stopped that. I tried an H.264 at 300mbps, not a true "master" file, but would do for the end project. AME said it was going to take 3.5 hours. Neither file was taking advantage of my 980ti graphics card, just slamming my 5820k CPU at 100%. While AME was trying to chunk along on the h.264, I decided to try to render a targa sequence out of AE. The targa sequence started cranking and really started using my graphics card. The sequence was done in under 15 minutes. As I am writing this, I decided to let AME try rendering the targa sequence. It cranked through the first maybe 15%, and I thought is was going to be done in record speed, and then it stalled. AME now says it will take well over an hour. Oh, and it still not using any of the GPU! And, YES, "Merc
Hey when I export my project the end result is my video looking as if it is being fast forwarded through. The sound is perfectly fine it's just the video. Also at random points in the video it will return to normal and then later return to the fast forwarded look. I've checked all my exporting settings and also watched a tutorial on youtube and it still doesn't work. My frame rate is at 29.97. Please help.
Hello,I captured screen audio and visual using QuickTime Player version 10.4. Needed to trim a few seconds from the beginning of the clip, and saved it as a .mov file. Plays back correctly in that format. When I import the file into Media Encoder CC version 2017.1.2 and try to encode it to an mp4 file using the H.264 format, the audio playback is correct, but the video playback is too slow (almost half speed, perhaps?). I don't have this issue when I try to encode a QuickTime .mov file that has not been trimmed from the beginning.Any thoughts?
I have been trying all morning why all my encoding tasks failed. But I found the source of the problem. In the effects tab of the preset settings, there is a Normalization option. I had it set on EBU R128. I left all settings as the were by default. For scanning it used stream 1 (stereo). When I disabled the normalizer, the encoding tasks worked like a charm. But why?I tried to play with the settings a bit. It made no difference. I even tried to scan for two mono streams. The task still failed. The source files is an MXF container: ( MXF OP1a, 8 mono channels )The destination is the same format, just a different bitrate, also with 8 discrete audio channels. Before I had to scan all the videos in Premiere, make adjustments to comply with the loudness norm for broadcasting in the Netherlands. Having it build in AME would save me so much time! But therefore it needs to work.Does anybody else use normalizing this feature? If so, does it actually work?
Hi, I have this problem when I encode a composition of an after effect project. The composition length about 1 hour.I'm using After Effect 2017 and Media Encoder 2017. We have a project where we have certain audio on Channel 1 (Panned -1 to the Left) and Channel 2 (Panned -1 to the Right). Our client says that they are hearing faint audio of Channel 1 on Channel 2 and audio of Channel 2 on Channel 1. Any suggestions to correct this?
It's exactly what the title says.I have tried to export using different settings both in Premier Pro and Media Encoder, however unless the Program is running as administrator it freezes up and eventually crashes.Any ideas?
HII can't find detailed encoding settings. I need to encode a Main 4.0 Part 10 mp4 with NO CABACI'm using AME 2017 and I cannot find s definitive answer as to if the encoder uses cabac or not.DO I need to find another encoding software, or is there a way to turn it on and off in AMETris
We purchased a new mac pro a week ago and have had the same issue three times now. Rendering out h.264 mp4 files and the render will hang at the very end. The remaining time (00:00) and time elapsed both freeze. I generally have to restart the whole system (force quitting premiere and media encoder) and when I re-render it will render successfully without any end hang - making me think its not a muxing issue, which is what most of my research on the topic points to. Mac Pro (Late 2013)Processor 3.5 GHz 6-core Intel Xeon E5Memory 32 GB 1866 MHz DDR3Graphics AMD FirePro D700 6144 MN. OS Sierra and CC apps all up to date.
Media Encoder 2017.1.2OSX 10.11.6Graphics Card - AMD FirePro D500BlackMagic Ultra Studio 4K v10.8.4Media Encoder suddenly will not function from Quicktime Source Movie File Apple ProRes 422 source. After selecting Start Queue nothing occurs, The status shows as Ready. If I hit Stop it asks if I want to finish the current file, as if it is working. It will work coming from a Premiere Pro Sequence Export.Restarted the computer multiple times. Have tried Creative Cloud Cleaner and Uninstalled and Reinstalled Media Encoder but same result. I have not added any new hardware of software. Thanks,Don
Hi, my PC has a i7 2600 quad core cpu, since I purchased it in April its been perfectly fine.In the last 2 days my Media Encoder renders have been really really slow, allowing the problem to run a 4 minute render took 6 hoursBefore the problem surfaced I would use the "details" option in task manger to set the after effects background process priority to real time, same for MEI now have to run it on normal because my CPU has decided to die on me somehow and slows my pc down by cycling between low usage and 100% !!!Other pc specs are GTX v and 16gb RAM
I have an mov file that after encoding from Tricaster is sitting at 40gb. My client wants the files that we are giving him to be at 5gb max. Is there any way to get this down to that size without loosing too much quality? Are main preset is h.264 and the videos settings are at 1920x1080.[Moved from the Lounge (which is where you can "connect with your peers" from across all of Adobe's products for conversations that don't directly relate to help and support) to a product-specific support forum by a moderator.]
Hi, a client wants me to deliver footage in Apple Intermediate Codec, in an AVI Container. I can't find the option in AME CC2017, nor in AME CS6...Is it possible to do this with any Version of AME? Thanks
Using ProsRes HQ and match source settings. I only intend on slowing this footage down on a 23.976 timeline . . . any issues that you can see with the render dropping .88?The math doesn't entirely add up to me, which makes me nervous about rendering all the footage. Any thoughts or experience with this? Is there a way to render at 119.88?Is it better, or any different, to interpolate to 23.976 while rendering? Thanks!
So I'm encoding GoPro footage, and the outcome of every take I encode has a slight green tint to it. I have fiddled with many settings and no luck. It would be great if someone knew how to fix the problem. Thanks.
Running 2017.0.2 and trying to sync my preset settings to my CC account before upgrading to the new versions. I've changed my sync preference to "Always Upload" so I pushes my User Presets to the server. I see that 2 recent presets have the cloud icon next to them, but all he rest do not appear to be synced. When I go to force a "Sync settings now", I keep getting prompted to log in, despite checking off "Stay logged in". It goes through that process, pinwheel comes up, and then nothing syncs. The last sync date is still showing last August. Repeating the process produces the same results.I'm going to submit as a bug, but given they've rolled out a new version of the software, I'm sure it won't get much attention. Does anyone have any immediate suggestions?ThanksStephen
As a Photoshop CC (2017) subscriber, I was able to install media encoder. I was able to use until today. The message states that I need an subscription. Does anyone know why this error occurred.
I am on premiere pro cc and AME cc.I have a video 90 minutes long I want to cut into 3 parts for uploading to youtube. I've read AME has a 'range' for doing this, however, i cannot find this anywhere. Is this possible to do this automatically or do i need to export 3 different sections from premiere?
When rendering my premiere pro project with adobe media encoder, the outputted file has has black frames rendered at cuts where there are graphics placed back to back (see first picture). The curious thing is that both graphics get rendered correctly however the the multicamera sequence (sub wide) after the cut drops out for two to three seconds resulting in the second graphic appearing on a black background as opposed to the footage (second picture). If i move the highlighted graphic one or two frames away so the two are not conjoined the problem disappears and media enconder renders the file correctly. The graphics appear on the correctly rendered footage. This problem only occurs when i export my file after queuing it in adobe media encoder and rendering it. If i export directly from premiere pro no such issues occur. Additionally it only appears to happen when there is a cut in mutlicamera source sequence, i have other graphics back to back where there is no cuts between them in th
Adobe Media Encoder 2017.1.2 Build 11.1.2.35 HANGS at reading XML - YET AGAIN!Out of the blue, been editing and exporting as .mp4 and .m2v for MONTHS, YEARS without a glitch. Now, HANGS AT READING XML for hours, read all these forums when the problem happened YEARS AGO apparently . . . now I can only export as .m2v, which is strictly a workaround fix, I've GOT TO get this working again! AME is truly amazing and has improved my business, but wow this is really bad. Lost an entire day, about 100 multi camera team performances with a lower third graphic at beginning and ending. Standard stuff. Matching original file types
AME opens automatically when I open Premiere Pro CC ,but with my type of workflow I prefer to open it manually when needed . How can I set it ( Media Encoder ) so that it does not open automatically.Thanks.
I want to make on MP4 screener for folks from multiple raw camera files (OP1a MXF XDCAM 50), with burned in time code. When I add the clips as a stitched clip, and then add the time code burn effect, the effect doesn't pull time code from the source MXFs but instead generates it's own time code for the resultant stitched clip. I toggle between time code source from media to generate, and back, and nothing changes.
I'm trying to import a present for Instagram videos. When I go to the export settings of the file I want to export and import my Instagram.epr present, I get "Present Error Unknown Error".
