Adobe Media Encoder

I usually export direct from Premiere Pro but recently had to export multiple files to Media Encoder. Next time I tried to open the .prproj files in Premiere Pro, THEY HAD MOVED AND I HAD TO SEARCH FOR IT! AND THEN I HAD TO RE-LINK ALL MY SOURCE FILES! [sorry for all caps but I meant to yell...] Are you kidding me with this? Bad enough the Photoshop interface has become so clunky to use, now Premiere Pro? What are they doing at Adobe...if it isn't broke, break it? Honestly, I've been an Adobe fan since PageMaker and Photoshop 1...I can't imagine why these fabulous, previously intuitive programs are being destroyed. Please help me to figure out what happened and how I can return to an easier workflow. I share folders with clients and I had to explain on a screen share call why I was having trouble finding files. Sorry for the rant, thanks in advance—running macOS Monterey, CC subscription up-to-date.

I would like to write a C++ plugin that allows me to generate encoding task via external input, e.g request over network. Since the extendscript environment in AME does not have access to the Socket class, I have been looking into the Premiere Pro SDK. Is there a suite that allows me to do this? I was looking into the Export Controller, but it seems to only be triggered via user interaction, and not sure its supported anyway by AME. Thanks for any help

I am exporting clips from Adobe Premiere sequence named J26_FTG. Previously I just select clips one by one and add them to AME, as a result, I got clips J26_FTG.mp4, J26_FTG_1.mp4, J26_FTG_2.mp4, etc.Somehow after update, AME overwriting the file J26_FTG.mp4 despite the option in preferences "Increment output file name..". Any suggestions or this is a bug?

Are you supporting the product Adobe Media Encoder 23.3? how long will you support this product. What is the End of life date of  this version?

I'm running into an issue that I have never run into before. I queued up a sequence to be rendered from Premiere to Media Encoder. I started the render in Media Encoder, I went back to Premiere to start on a new project in Premiere while Media Encoder renders in the background. The issue is that every time I hit play on the Premiere Timeline, it pauses the Media Encoder render. I've checked everywhere and can't find the issue within the software. I may be overlooking something. I also can't find anyone having the same issues online. This is a new problem. It hasn't acted like this before. I have attached a video below that demonstrated what I'm talking about. I'm on a 2017 iMac Pro with a 3.2 ghz Intel Xeon W. 32gb RAM. Raedon Pro Vega 56 8gb RAM.   Title edited by Mod

Hallo! Meine Anfrage in Kürze: Ich bin auf der Suche nach einer Funktion, um meine alten Videos archivieren zu können. Ich möchte Videos, vor allem mov. und alte Mpeg, in H265 umwandeln. Dabei möchte ich aber meine Metadaten behalten, weil das Erstellungsdatum des Videos die einzig sinnvolle Art ist, die Videos zu archivieren. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, das mit ca. 10.000 Videos zu machen?  Soweit bin ich schon:  Ich kann eine Metadatemdatei beim Export aus der Apple Photos App erstellen. Diese ist im XMP Format. Danach kann ich den Media Encoder nutzen, um alle Videos umzuwandeln. Mit einem Skript könnte ich die Dateinendung, die der Encoder hinterlässt, wieder entfernen, soweit so gut. Mit der Adobe Bridge kann ich die Metadaten auch einzeln verbinden, leider geht das nicht als Stapelverarbeitung. Hat jemand eine Idee?  Vielen Dank schon einmal!

I'm using Media Encoder to trans-code an orignial MKV file into a h.264 file (since it's very laggy to edit with MKV since it's so compressed).When I try this, a weird bug/glitch happens.For the first 10 minutes everything is fine and the trancoded video is playing back as it's supposed to. However, after around the 10 minute mark or so, the video portion loops back to the beginning while the audio portion keeps playing.So like at minute 15, it's the audio for minute 15 but the video for minute 5. I tried both trancoding it to GoPro Cineform and h.264.It's the same problem. I can even see it start to loop in the output preview of media encoder.Is this a problem with my source file or a problem with Media Encoder? Is there any way to fix this?Infact, when I was trying to recreate the problem, now it loops like the first minute of video for all 20 minutes of audio instead of even getting to 10 minutes.

Please help me. In AE, the video looks correct, but in Adobe Meda Encoder, such a cropping is found on the right. What is the problem? The application versions are the same, 2023. 

I spent about 6 hours editing things and adding it to the queue. Hit Save Queue, hit start queue and Adobe Media Encoder crashed. Upon restarting it, the queue was completely gone. Does Save Queue actually save it somewhere and I'm just not finding it? Anyway to restore the last saved queue?

on 2 of my systems, I can't get the GPU to be fully used when rendering.(the machines were originally designed for a different piece of software).1-i9-13900hx64gb-ddr54090-laptop 2-i9-13900k128gb-ddr5dual 4090. 3-i9-12900k64gb-ddr43080-ti- laptop system (3). is the one rendering fastest at the moment striking me as strange. I run the latest Adobe software (not beta) and the latest studio drivers (not beta). any ideas on where to get started troubleshooting? I mostly use AE with heavy effects instead of live footage.

I was wondering if it is possiblel to batch remove a watermark I placed on 100+ videos using Encoder.  I  want to change the watermark.  Tia

Hallo Zusammen, hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich einen kompletten Ordner mit unterordner für das automatische Rendering hinzufügen kann? Konkret geht es mir um r3d Daten von RED, die immer in Unterordner sind. Bei mir ist es also Rushes / Speicherkartenname / Dateiname / Datei... und ich möchte eig den gesamten Ordner Rushes als Watched Folder hinzufügen und konvertieren. Danke für IdeenAndi

I have recently changed the hard drive (windows 10), and therefore I have had to install all my programs again. Now I have got a strange problem when I export via Encoder. (See photos). It happens regardless of whether I use hardware or software encoding.. I hope someone has the same problem;)

My drone footage is recorded at 4k 60fps HEVC at about 150mbps. When exporting through Media Encoder, it will encode a 4k 60fps prores proxy file at about 300mbps Given that, it sounds like an acceptable final output format for stock footage, right?  I mean it would be better to have a prores proxy file at 300mbps then an MP4 at 45mbps, right?

I am trying to setup an automated proxy workflow with Media Encoder in which I ingest footage into preset watch folders and it creates proxies for an overseas editor.  Now, is there a way of getting Media Encoder to convert the original files into proxies without creating the "Source" folder? It would be a lot better to have the source files stay in the same location rather than in subfolders. Thank you all for your help.Cheers,Javier.

Hello Adobe Creative Thinkers, I got a huge amount of messages that Media Encoder and Premiere Pro crash when exporting.Note:This depends on millions of factors; one simple test is to disable the (CUDA) GPU Accelerator in the preferences and at the bottom of the main list on ME. Check the screenshots and I hope this helps.Sergio 

I just installed a fresh version of Catalina on my machine as well as CC. Everything is the latest version at this date.  AE will not export to AME via Composition dropdown. It will open AME but no item adds to the que.  If I add the item to AE render que and then like que in AME it will put the sequence in AME. When I attempt to change any settings or render, I get the error "Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again" My best guess is that Catalinas new security features are preventing the apps from talking, but I don't know how to resolve the issue.

hi all,  have anyone encounter this issue while rendering. I render a 16:9 clip that looks and render completely fine in AE. However when i send to media encoder, it gives me issues, with the images shifted to the side (see images) .  thanks for the tips and help in advance. 

Hello! I have recently encountered an issue and I would like to seek help here. When exporting a video using Adobe software, I have noticed a gap on the right side of the video during the media export process. However, this issue does not occur when exporting directly from PR or AE. I am puzzled as to how this gap is being generated and unsure of how to resolve it. I would like to reach out to the experts and experienced users in this forum to see if anyone has encountered a similar issue or if there are any suggestions or solutions you could provide me with. I'm with a Federal agency that has Captivate 2019 licenses for standalone PCs. We can no longer include videos in our Captivate products because Media Encoder is no longer licensed for our PCs. We have other tools for creating mp4's, etc to upload to Captivate but we keep getting messages that Media Encoder is needed to convert the videos. How can we include a video in our Captivate products, and/or how can I reinstall Media Encoder in our stand alone machines?  wtsthree

A few hours ago I read a question with the extact same issue as me:¨I am too having this issue, and the Queue view is visible.  When I choose to import an AE composition, I navigate to my AE project file, but the comps inside it are not displayed or selectable, and the Ok button never enables.  Neither can I drag and drop my AE project file into AME, I get an empty dialog box (I assume it's supposed to list the included comps), and the Ok button there never enables either.  Anyone discovered a solution to this issue?¨First I though maybe my computer or the program was slow so I leave it for a few hours but nothing happend, can someone help me? Thanks
