Hi - I have a comp that is 5760 wide x 1080 deep (basically 4 x screen side by side to make a video banner). When I render, I need to render each of the four screens separately - which I can do fine in the queue by adjusting the source left and right positions, then rendering, then readjusting the left and right to the next region for acreen 2 etc etc. I know that I can set multiple outputs for a watch folder and hoped that I'd be able to set it so that when I drop the comp in, it would render each of the 4 regions ... but although I can see the way to adjust the output settings for each output type, I can't get to the source settings in order to select the left and right position. Is this possible?ThanksSteve
I want to render a video.Alpha;RGB;Alpha + RGB;I can do in After Effects:How to do this in Adobe Media Encoder?
I am working on a videography project using after effects 23.0 and adobe media encoder 23.1. My PC specs are an intel i7 9700 CPU, Nvidia 3060ti GPU, 32 GB ram, and 2 TB SSD. I'm rendering in adobe media encoder using the h.264 high quality 2160p 4k preset with rendering set at maximum depth and maximum render quality turned on. I have tried purging my after effects cache and media cache database, rendering in all mercury playback engines, and changing encoding settings performance from hardware to software. Nothing works, each time my whole computer will freeze at a random point in the render and the only way I can use my PC is by restarting my computer. This problem has been going on for quite a while now and it is costing me time and money as I am unable to produce videos for my clients. Please help.
Hello,I'd like to know the difference between cropping and scaling a video clip directly on a Premiere Pro timeline, versus doing so in the Adobe Media Encoder export window? I am converting DVDs of VHS source material to H.264 files and want remove the distortion at the bottom (head tearing), and on the sides. I scaled each clip up 104%, which successfully cleaned up the bottom and sides before sending the project to Adobe Media Encoder for export. The 'Source' tab in Adobe Media Encoder has several options for cropping, while the 'Output' tab's 'Scale to Fill' seems to do the same thing as scaling in Premiere. Is there a fundamental difference between doing these operations in a Premiere project versus doing them in Adobe Media Encoder? Thank you,Eric
hi i got some problems with exporting comp.i would like some help. thank you all
The 2022 and 2023 versions are happening to me. I have a Windows 10 When I'm going to export a video, in Premiere it allows me to use both the hardware option and the software option. But in the media encoder it gives me this message when I try to put the hardware option:"Your system hardware does not support hardware acceleration for current configurations" I really don't understand how it works in premiere and not in media encoder! One method I used to see if it worked was to put these programs on high performance...WindowsSetup>System>Display>Graphics Setup But so far nothing...If anyone has the answer on how to resolve this question it would be a huge help!
Hi!I have encoutered a strange bug on which I can't find any answers on this forum, so I dedided to make this post.I tried to export my project to normal mp4 file from Adobe Animate - as normally as I did for the last few years. Today however the files were exported as empty mp4 files that can't be opened and weigh 24 bytes. There is a notification in Adobe Media Encoder that says "Encoding completed with warnings". I tried rendering the projects to different files and it works normally. It seems as though this is only an issue with mp4 files. I didn't make any updates - which worries me even more. I also did not change any settings, this just happened from day to day. My other projects have the same issue since today. I also have normal mp4 files of the failed project that I rendered today and they all are normal - but rendered day or week ago (I rendered them before to preview project in other software for editing and then decided to add some more things to the project)I have attache
Hello! With Adobe Encoder I am compressing .mpg files to .mp4 (h264). Source data matching but no video and audio sync. Same framerate, same hertz and bit audio. The desynchronization is progressive.I tried instead of choosing .mp4 to make it with .Mov or .Mpeg but I get the same error. With the handbrake software I have no timing issues, but for some reason the resulting files have a frame rate of 24.22 fps instead of the original 25 fps.I need to use Adobe Encoder because I want to join clips directly from there.
Hi,i need to export a video in DCP but i can't find it in Media Encoder 2023 (it was present in the previous Media Encoder versions...). Does anyone know i can export my video in DCP from After effects 2013 or Media encoder 2023?Thanks for your help,
I have not used AME in months until today. I have not even opened it since the 2023 update last week.I was working on a file in After Effects this morning and added it to the AME queue, the splash screen came up and then it froze and the windows "Adobe Media Encoder is not responding" error came up. I closed everything, opened AE again, worked on a few different files and about two hours later tried to export another file, same issue.I closed everything and tried opening AME from Creative Cloud same error. I tried uninstall and reinstall, no dice.I don't have any third-party PlugIns or anything installed other than the original AME installation from CC.I've attached two screenshots. Note that it doesn't always freeze at the same point during loading. Im trying to convert about 170 files from MOV to MP4, at first it was going great, the files were converting and everything was fine. But after about 30 files through it started bugging out, giving me that green screen preview that u can see at the bottom, taking forever, and then eventually failing and moving onto the next one, only to do the same thing. Im trying to edit these clips in a software but it also gives me the green screen glitch, then crashes my software (hence why I'm converting them to MP4) so Im used to seeing this green screen effect. But why am I seeing it here in Media Encoder as well? Why are MOV files such a pain? The videos are recorded with an iPhone (which Im never going to do again after this) but it seems like Media Encoder was doing fine for a while, but then just gave up half way through. Ive tried clearing cache, reinstalling, resetting. But nothing works, why can't I convert these MOV files with ease?
Hi, I've been using adobe after effects- and media encoder 2020 for quite some time.. These couple of months though I've experienced that the last frames turn fully white or black. Sometimes the frames are very choppy and laggy. It's just a couple of frames but it can be very annoying when you've worked on a project for a long time and when you render it, it's ugly. This only happens when I put color grading. Another problem is that every once in a while, when I want to continue on my project ae tells me that my file has been corrupted or damaged for no reason. I can play my video normally through other apps but not in ae.
Does anyone know how to fix this?I Was rendering my edit in media encoder and was waiting for about 30 minutes until I realized that it stops rendering in one specific frame. I Close the media encoder, Restart my computer a bunch of times and it still stops rendering in that one frame. So, before I opened media encoder I check my after effects and search thru that one clip where it stopped rendering. I removed some effects to see if it works, but it still doesn't. I Check the Logs and the errors and it says "12/07/2022 11:00:10 PM : Queue Stopped- Encoding Time: 00:15:0812/07/2022 11:00:10 PM : Encoding Failed" "The Operation was interrupted by user" And so whenever I close the media encoder to restart again, It keeps saying "Media encoder 2020 has stopped responding."Anybody knows how to fix this?
everytime i open Adobe Media Encoder a messege pops up saying 'Red Giant licensing error'. and then the app doesnt open. anybody else experienced this?
Hi I am trying to adjust the file size in media encounter but now there is no option for adjust the file size.Is that removed?
I just got a 2017 iMac Pro with "3.2 GHz Intel Xeon W" Processor and "Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB" GPU with 32GB Ram ( non-upgradable ) . I call this computer "JP4" My other computer is a 2017 iMac with the "4.2 GHz Intel Core i7" and "Radeon Pro 580 8 GB" 64GB Ram. I call it "JP2" I had hoped that "JP4" would outperform "JP2" with render times of around 55% based on a quick benchmark test I performed back in late December 2019 against a similar iMac Pro. That must have been in one of the 2019 versions of Premiere Pro but Im confident that the iMac Pro at the time was out performing "JP2". But now this iMac Pro I just acquired "JP4" is running anywhere from 20 to 50% slower than my Non-Pro iMac "JP2". It seems like Adobe Media Encoder is just not running as fast in either the CPU or the GPU when processing Adobe Premiere Pro projects. The project is in Premiere Pro version 14.4.0. When running a "Unsharp Mask" in fact
I'm sure theres some box I need to tick but for the life of me I can't find it. I'm on a 2016 15" so I'm guessing it's not the computer. While rendering videos the computer evidently goes to sleep and pauses the render in various, non specific points in the process. Can someone please explain. That you in advance,Chris
I have a fully transparent PNG image sequence rendered out from blender. I import via image sequence and toggle transparency grid and I have full alpha channel. My problem comes when I export to AME as a EXR or a Webm, even if I have the alpha channel checked it renders out with a background and the source footage is showing it with a background. I've tried reinterpreting the footage as straight - unmatted and premult, but no change. Also, switched everything over to 32bit float but that did help. Also, running latest versions of all CC programs. Any ideas why AME is seeing transparent footage with no alpha?
Hi there, I have a few large avi files that I made back in the early 2000's. I'm saving all of my old stuff to the Arweave permaweb and I'd like to turn these bulky (and out of date) files into more managable and 'future proofed' files types. Any thoughts on best settings to use for this?I was using an edited form of the 'Match Source Adaptive High Bitrate' preset, using a target br of 8mbps and a max of 12mbps (these are all SD files). Any thoughts from those of you who know more about this sort of thing? Thanks!
Hi y'all, I am wondering if their is a way to set in a media encoder preset to preserve the maximum amount of audio channels that the clip has when applying to hundreds of clips and with varying audio channels. My current workflow at work for creating proxies for hundreds of clips with a range and variety of audio channels is having to manually go into every clip and make sure that the maximum available audio channels are selected. Is there a way to have media encoder automatically do that? Another thing is if I highlight them all and select one that I know has the highest amount of audio channels then it only changes the ones with the exact same amount, the rest are switched to mono tracks. Thanks in advance.
I have a 3080TI and Adobe Media Encoder/Adobe Premier are not using it to render even if Hardware accelaration is enabled. Its a major problem, cause i'm sure rendering with it will be 100% faster than with the cpu (9900k) [Branched from very old thread]
For a recent project, I chose a deep red background, but when I exported it, it was black! Thanks for any help.
Just started getting this weird green screen in Encoder. It's linked from After Effects. It seems to be just this one comp. It exported fine the other day. Before I realized it was happening, I exported it yesterday and the file was just green as well. Any idea what is happening?
Merci d'avance
