When I export an AE file to the Adobe Encoder it produces a bizzare artifact, like a mirrored rim of the video (see picture below). Tried all kinds of different export settings, nothing works. Never had such a problem before with previous versions of the Encoder. Any hints, suggestions? Thanks! Juergen
is there a way to get media encoder to duplicate an export with a bunch of different presets applied? I have to export the same thing in 5 ways and each time I have to manually duplicate and select each preset. I know this seems like a total waste of time trying to automate something that takes me 30 seconds, but computers are supposed to do the grunt work, goddammit! (and ADHD 🤪)
Hey guys, I've been searching for answers online and haven't had any luck on how to successfully compress a large video (around 3 GB) using media encoder. I feel like that's something it should be able to do, right? I want to either send my video from Premier Pro to media encoder to compress it or just import footage to compress, I really don't need my videos to be super high quality and will just be used on a phone for educational purposes. I am shooting at 1080p. Exporting is just so terribly long with any sort of color/graphic edits to the videos and it's horrible. Is there a simple way I can just import a file to compress, or send from Premier Pro, to reduce file size by over 50% or just as much as possible? Thank you in advance.
We are moving to CUDA SDK v11.8 for Beta. This change is affecting AE/AME/Pr. The minimum Nvidia driver requirement to run CUDA acceleration has been lifted to 522.25. Expect to see System Compatibility Report to report issue if your driver is below the requirement. Please update Nvidia driver for your machine and your team's testing machines to avoid potential disruptions.
Hi, 1) When sending multiple renders from Ae to Media Encoder, is there any way to set the default "source range" ( the equivalent of the "time span" when rendering in Ae) in Media Encoder to "Entire Composition" rather than "Work Area". This is doing my head in, as I keep sending files to Media Encoder only to have them render out the last work area I was using of my comp, instead of the whole timeline. It's a pain to not only keep forgetting to change the work area after making an animation change in Ae, but in Media Encoder you can't even select the whole render queue and change them all at once as a shortcut. 2) When I make a change to a comp in Ae and send to media encoder, some files (a significant number to stress me out when working close to dealines) aren't rendering the changes I've made in Ae. I find the only way to counter this is to delete the "temp" .aep files in the "_AME" folder that Media Encoder creates, AND even then, sometimes that is not enough, so I
On Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS 13.2 Whenever you select a composition in the file browser in AME it still brings up the window to re-select the composition from the encompassing project. However when you make any selection (correct or incorrect) the window vanishes before you can hit okay it loads the correct composition anyway. Here is the order of events-User opens AME-Selects Ae project from file browser-AME file browser shows enclosed compositions within the project-User selects a composition from the file browser-New window pops up inviting the user to select any composition from inside the Ae project-user clicks on ANY of the options-window disappears before user can click 'okay'-composition originally selected in the AME file browser is loaded to the queue
I made the update from 23.2 to 23.6 and scrolling through settings is insanely slow now. It's not lagging or any sort of performance issue, it's just super slow to scroll through the settings. I just want to change settings fast and not train my scrolling finger 😄 Please change it back to the original scrolling speed.
We have added more export events. Check out our updated documentation at https://ame-scripting.docsforadobe.dev/reference/index.html#ameexportevent.
Over the last couple of days, Media Encoder has been distorting my After Effects shots on export. So far, either my 4K shots are exporting out cropped in, or in my 2K shots, part of the image is on the wrong side. This has happened both exporting ProRes and H.264, but for whatever reason, this effect doesn't happen when I export DNxHR. It also doesn't happen when I send my After Effects shots through the render queue. When I noticed this issue, I updated to the latest version of Media Encoder, but this has been of no help. Any advice? I've attached a screenshot of the glitch.
A great way to help improve the application is by being able to batch edit the in/out point in the export settings window. You're able to batch edit the output file destination, you're able to batch edit the export settings themselves (format, preset, video/audio settings etc.) but for some reason when you try to batch edit the in/out point for various files at a time, only 1 file will change accordingly. I say we should keep it consistant. I've attached a screenshot of the export setting window I'm referring too.
Hello,I have cut 4K footage, from DJI Inspire, with the latest Adobe Premiere CC and made the rendering with Adobe Media Encoder for the final result. For any reason, the movie starts to stutter when the camera is panning. This only appears when I change the speed to make the clip run faster. I currently use 135%.These are my export settings. Sorry it's in German I think you know the meaning Here is the video. You can see the stuttering beginning at 0:56 Min. The whole video is on 135% of speed. Any ideas why this is happen? I tried it to render on two differnt PC's Win 7 and Win 10. Both with Intel i7 CPU 10GB and 16GB RAM.This happens also when I export to full HD.Any ideas how to solve this?Best regards.
When I render any video using encoder (haven't tried direct renders from After Effects) The footage is shifted as seen here Video example
Hi, I am trying to add one source file into batch with multiple presets and multiple outputs. I can do that via the UI by either duplicating the render, or go to 'File > Add Output". I am currently using addFileToBatch but it can only add a task with one preset and one outputs.addFileToBatch(filePath: string, format: string, presetPath: string, outputPath: string = ""): scripting object : Adds a file to the batch and returns an EncoderWrapper object. Is it a way to achieve this in scripting?
hello, when I want to render my after effect project, the media encoder is constantly stuck in the last frame and does not output. I uninstalled and reinstalled the programs but the problem did not go away. ____________________________________________________________________________ Analyzing project: StaticProjectForTeamProjectsMZ Details in file "SystemCompatibilityReport.ProjectAnalysis.txt" No errors were found. ____________________________________________________________________________ GPU Sniffer Log: GPUSniffer launching with test mask 574 GPUSniffer command line arguments: -T 574 -E 0 -A "Adobe Media Encoder" -S 3e4c0704-fd9d-47fa-a0a7-93d7a98fd555 -i 0 -s 1 GPU test phase NotStarted took 200 ms GPU test phase GFInitialize took 200 ms GPU test phase TestGPUComputation took 0 ms GPU test phase TestDXDisplay took 0 ms GPU test phase GFTerminate took 0 ms GPU Sniffer result: 529 _________________________________
For the last week or so, whenever I open Media Encoder I get the following error message:"The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library c:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder 2023\OCIOWrapper.DLL."I've already tried downloading and installing Microsoft Visual C++ updates, unistalling and reinstalling Media Encoder and it still comes up. The program works fine after I dismiss it, but it's annoying and has never happened before.I'm running the latest updates of Windows 10. Any idea how to fix this?
Everytime I use media encoder it adds a bunch of seconds of black screen to the end of each edit. If i use premier exporter with the same footage it deosn't. Very annoying. Mac book Pro M1 ULTRA23.6.0 premier pro23.6 media encoder
Windows users with Trend Micro Maximum Security repeatedly reported startup crashes that have been massively impacting AE and AME. We have managed to find a contact there, report the issue, and have now tested a fix they have pushed live into production.Their users should receive this as an auto-update.Any user hitting a Win startup crash in AE/AME should still verify if he user has TM Maximum Security installed, and if so, then instruct the user to:1, Open the application.2. Go to the hamburger-ish dropdown menu in the upper right and select "About This Software".3. This will initiate an update check.4. If the software updates, see if the crash on launch is resolved subsequently.5. If it is fully up to date, the crash is likely being caused by something else.Hope this helps.
When rendering videos with Adobe Media Encoeder exported from Premiere Pro, fonts I'm using are randomly having some characters swapped to a different font. The text in question is in a MOGRT designed in AE, not sure if having another program in the chain is the issue (although all CC apps marketed as working together so really shouldn't be.)Here is the preview in Premiere Pro:Here is the rendered output:Here is a second go at it, gee getting closer to usable:Why?I have tried:-Using studio drivers and updated (phew, just avoided 20 responses with that)-Uninstall/reinstalling AME-Clearing prefs-Cache directory isn't full, also cleared cache multiple times and no changes-Restarting my computer so so so many timesWhy?
Merci
Since update 23.1 I haven't been able to export any video with the h265 codec. All the video files are unplayable or don't allow the video to be scrubbed through. To elaborate, the files will play but stop playing the moment I try to scrub through or click anywhere on the timeline. I'm using finder's preview feature but even opening the files in Quicktime or VLC have the same problem. Most of these renders are over an hour long, so simply letting the video play to see if the render is successful is not an option. I've tried changing many render settings to see if I could remedy the issue with no success. H264 works just fine. Prores in both 4444 and 422 flavors work fine. I've tried every update, uninstalling and reinstalling, and IT even upgraded me from an M1 Max Macbook Pro to M2 Max during this time so I had all apps freshly installed with only my personal files being moved over to the new computer. I'm stuck at version 23.0 of the app until this issue is fixed.
So i have been using this plan since June of this year. Today when i logged in, i got that i must PAY to use media encoder, which i used for the past period without anyproblems, i am not sure what i am messing here.As you can see above, media encoder is locked and must be purchased, which is weird because it was included in my original plan and did use it on a daily basis.
I've been using AE and Media Encoder for years, but this never happened to me before. My vertical video seems fine in AE, but when I take it to Media Encoder to export it, the program displaces it (I don't know how). I've just downloaded from Creative Cloud and didn't touch any of the defaults on the menu. Anyone knows the solution? Thank you in advance... Here I leave you a screenshot of the preview of the video in After Effects and then the preview of the video on Media Encoder.
I think it would be cool to have a creative app to go live, Adding this feauture to Me would be amazing I hope to see somthing there for us all so we can use this to go live on all our sites.
I've had this problem since the beginning of the year when I put anything in Encoder it exports the wrong audio. Say if someone is talking on the video, it'll have the completely wrong audio for it. I then go back to the Premiere project and the audio is fine and end up having to export it via Premiere, which is a waste of time when I could be getting on with editing another video. We thought this problem could have something to do with the Macs that we use, so we got new ones, but this hasn't solved the problem. I've just updated to the 12.1.1 update, as I saw this fixed some bug issues but it still hasn't exported properly.I've been on the chat and on the phone with Adobe, but every time they try to help they just delete a bunch of cache files but that doesn't work.I really hope someone can help!
Hi,YouTube contains a lot of tutorials, where they are advised to interpret the interlaced video, and then encode it as a progressive one. Obviously, this deep misconception exists, since the ME does not contain any filter for deinterlacing. It is possible to add it long ago or allow the use of installed filters for the Premiere and AE in the encoder. Thanks
