Adobe Media Encoder

I'm exporting a H.264 video with a solid red background however I noticed it was exporting slightly darker. I tried changing a few options and discovered the problem was hardware encoding, and using software encoding gave me the correct color. I want to continue using hardware encoding as it's faster than software, so is there something that can be done to fix the color inaccuracy?

Hello there!  I've been having this issue for a while.  I do weekly analysis videos of movies, and to better help my workflow, I cut up the entire movie into chunks, export those subsequences, and then import them into a new project that I will edit my video into (it's never the same project as the one I cut up the whole movie in).I make the project, set ingest setting to "Create Proxies", Adobe Media Encoder opens when I import the files, and up to half of them would just fail for seemingly no reason.The error message included in these is:"An error was encountered while writing the output file.  The output destination could not be found.  Check that the output directory still exists.  If the output directory is on a network or external device, check that the connection is active."My output destination is the same for the files that work and those that don't, and is entirely internal.  The size of the file doesn't seem to have any barring on whether it suc

Hi while i am rendering a video, i noticed that adobe not use my cpu and gpu efficiently. is it normal? or do i have to do something? 

I'm using Adobe Media Encoder 2020 (14.5 Build 48) on Windows 10. After few clicks Adobe Media Encoder freezes for a while. I have Ryzen 5800x, RADEON 5600XT Render in Premiere Pro it works. But Media Encoder didn't work with opencl. No reponse. Anyone know how to solve this problem?

I could raise my hand here, just one more among the many, asking what the hell is wrong with media encoder... to be met with the predictable questions regarding my end, or my system, or my project etc etc etc.... I've had it.. a quick google search will show thread upon thread upon thread of frustrated users. And adobe continues with the generic stupid replies...  The issue is on YOUR end adobe!!!! For those interested,.,. Im rendering 10 - 15 second clips,... and they're taking upto an hour each!!! using adobe 2020, rendering  from after effects. Just HD, no external plugins,.. and my system is well and truly up to task.. Ive purged AE, everything up to date. etc etc etc..  Surely,, Surely I'm not alone in reasonably expecting more from adobe support and development...? this issue goes back a long long way.. Any one esle having this issue? I updated with 2021 updates and things are worse. I'm using media encoder and it failed once. A video that normally takes 30mins to render is freaking out. It says an hour and 30. Then speeds up and slows down. Who know's how long it's going to take and now I have to sit here and baby sit it. My computer was built for editing, yet I'm in a constant battle with Adobe to get through a project.    [Edited and moved by moderator to Media Encoder forum]

Hi!Is it possible to edit multiple videos at once?This is what I need: I work in an office and we daily make several videos. Since we are all in homeoffice now the videos are a bit too big (around 1.7gb). I need a program that edits them automatically with preset options so that I just upload the videos into the program, do some other work meanwhile and as soon the program has finished I have edited videos. I'm working for a theater company that is editing several one act plays for a festival. The source footage is .h264 (1080p, 4 Mbps). We have multiple editors who are each cutting a play. When they're done, they're exporting their final cut to .h264 (8 Mbps). Then, the plan was for me to put their .h264 final cuts into a sequence and export again to .h264 (8 Mbps).Are we losing quality each time we export to .h264?Since the final output will likely be viewed on computers and consumer TVs, the quality loss may be insignificant (even at these medium-low bit rates)?If not, I could put the editors' actual edited sequences into a single sequence and export that (so that the export is referencing the source footage).

ME isn't working when launched as a stand alone app. When being used through Premiere it works. What is wrong? Is it the new Windows update.

Hi,I need some help, I have just download the new Adobe CC and now I wish I had not! I am having a problem with rendering out After Effects (AE) files in Adobe media encoder (AME). AME is not linking to the file correctly and when I render out a 1080p video in AME it is rendering it out as 480x270 even if I select match source nothing changes. If I set the size in AME physically then the video is the correct size but the quality is terrible.The composition settings in AE are set to 1080p and I have been rendering things out like this until this recent download with not problems. I am currently going back to Adobe CC (15.3) to see if that will fix my issue. This is a screen shot of the AE composition setting Please help this is really F@#king me over and super annoying.Thanks

This is deepley frustrating. Every time I try to render something out I get this message "Adobe Media Encoder Error. Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unepected error and cannot continue." I've also tried manually adding source in media encoder and i get the message at the bottom of the import after effects composition "The project could not be opened". I have macOS Big Sur version 11.1 only have my macbook a month. To anyone out there please help me and thank you!

I am exporting a video made in after effects from media encoder. But every time a export a video it's duration gets increased due to which the video's speed gets decreased and it gets weird.I recently exported a 3 sec video but it's duration got increased to 6 sec.So what should I do to resolve this issue?

AME hasn't been working since the last update, funny enough goin gback to any other version hasn't fixed it either. I can open it and do things as normal for a small amount of time, it seems that as soon as any rendering needs to take place, the app crashes and stops responding. This applies to any file, so I know it doesn't have to do with the footage. Rendering from After Effects works just fine, but it's a huge pain. I believe it has to do with the latest AMD driver and latest Adobe updates, as these were updated around the same time. I had a similar issue with Fresco that was resolved with these updates, but AME was broken which I need much more. If this is an Adobe/AMD issue of compatibility, it is really frustrating that not only are there bugs in each update, but that they are so gamebreaking that the app is completely unusable. I've had a problem is AME for the longest time where I'd get an error message on launch.  The only thing that seemed to work was to trash the file "WSMgrCfg" found at the following directory:Documents/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/14.0/WSMgrCfgThe file re-writes itself everytime I launch AME. No idea what the file is for or why it's a problem.  Since it does re-write, I'm worried that I'll run into the same problem again at some point.  Is there a work around? Another solve?  

Hello All, I am seeking Adobe wisdom for Media Encoder. Let me start off by saying if I can avoid using ME, I usually do. I am not a fan as it is seems so much slower than rendering out of AE or exporting from Premiere but I have to keep working so I need to be able to render in the background. I believe it should be the exact opposite though - ME should be a turbocharged fire-breathing monster that takes render tasks away from the other apps so we can keep working on creative...but it should be FASTER. I do have the renderer on "GPU Acceleration (Metal)" and I have a Thunderbolt3 AMD WX9100 16GB eGPU (Mac) for rendering - does not help speed it up. My questions for admins / developers are... * Can you explain why is it SO SLOW (optimized performance settings config maybe)?* Why doesn't Media Encoder show complete render stats (Feature Request)? Maybe I am missing something, but as far as a render-only app goes, ME lacks a huge amount of details in the Queue. I have about 300 video files of an old TV program that I need to convert in AME. However, the files have audio only on the left channel, with an empty right channel. It is a mono mix, but on a stereo track. I know Premiere offers the "Fill Right with Left" filter, but is there any way to batch-apply this in Media Encoder to all 300 files, without needing to run them individually through Premiere?

Whether I'm trying to export 5 sequences or 10... right after the first one exports successfully, ME will crash and shut down. I'll start the process over again and it will export the first one and then crash.  I have the latest version of Pr and Me. Computer Specs:2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i964 GB 2667 MHz DDR4AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GBIntel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB Would appreciate any help. I am using CS5 on a 64bit Windows 10 Home computer.  I have been authoring DVDs using Encore for several years and been more than happy with it.  This week, out of the blue, I have been getting the message "the player used to create the project could not be found, defaulting to adobe player" when I attempt to open exisiting files, and a simlar message when creating a new file.  With a new file, Encore simply shuts down when I Ok the message. I have reinstalled the software from CD, tried running as Administrator, to no avail.

what to do if media enconder is taking time to export

Hello, I've been using Media Encoder for over a year to render my podcast audio and video files with no problems. Today, it has started crashing about 10-15 minutes into every render. Nothing has changed on my end other than maybe a new version of Media Encoder. I honestly don't even know when it updates so I don't know if this is my first time trying to render with a new version or not. I have tried rendering these files on both a macOS 10.14.6 iMac Pro and a new M1 Mac Mini running the latest version of macOS.  Is anyone else having these problems? What could I do to try to diagnose this issue? I can't publish any of my new episodes while it keeps crashing like this. 

Very scary, i didnt know it was possible.suddenly noticed serious banding in my rendered video that went through media encoder that absolutely does not exist if i render direct from premiere.???  tried in different codecs , starnge and scary problem???? 

Everytime i close the media encoder application the watch folders and the presets attached to them are deleted - i need to re add them.  My render PC has its watch folder pointed at a NAS storage solution.  The tick box for "automatically clear settings on application quit" has never been turned on.
