that's just it - thanks & good knowledge! Just before I saw this I'd clicked on a menu when i could see the main window and deselected 2nd monitor which did the trick. annoying stuff like that isn't clearer but hey ho thanks again.

hi, because lightroom is terrible, I'm stuck in a mode where the menu bar and all panels have disappeared. To have an interface where this is even possible is just poor and a huge waste of time but for the moment I just need to get back to my main library window. can anyone help? screenshot attached thanks in advance

hi dd you ever figure this out? i've had this same problem (with the Project window docked to the effects window as well) and while it's a minor annoyance it does take up time every time I open a project and it should just stay where it's told to stay! Thanks yeah they've got no Premiere experience so I suppose a straight text file is the way I was just wondering if there's a way for them to be able to mark stuff up and have Premiere automatically pick up the changes and create the rough cut without using the prtranscript option which they wouldn't be able to read...thx

Hello - Trying out the newish transcription features. I've got an assembly edit with all my interview clips in it and transcribe has created a transcript seems ok so far. Now I'd like to send that to my client so they can create a paper edit - question is what should I send them? Just a text file? I guess they wouldn't be able to read a prtranscript file but that would probably be the way to be able to import their cuts directly back into Premiere? Or is it best to just send a .txt export, have them mark it up then go in and select the sections they want and have Premiere create the rough cut? I haven't been able to find this specific info so any help will be appreciated - thanks in advance! David

Is anyone else facing this in the latest version 23.4.0 Build 56
So you press shuttle left or right and Premeire simply won't respond to any command until it shuttles all the way until the end or beginning of the timeline?
Any idea how to fix this? I've recently reset prefs and deleted all my cache files, etc
Anyone else finding this update fairly ?

thanks for that detailed explanation - that's useful to know! This material is using just one audio track, but I synced the 2 cameras with timecode so Premiere made the MC sequences for me and brought in the audio from both cameras. I think I'll just stick to replacing the MC Sequence audio with the orig audio, avoids all of this!

Usually when I create a multicam sequence I just discard the audio Premiere brings in and copy over the audio from the orig sequence to avoid any problems but I didn't this time and no audio waveforms are showing, which I and probably everyone else use heavily in editing for a quick visual reference on when someone is talkng. Am I missing something here or is this some major flaw? Thanks

We should be able to set zoom on video in multicam windows. If I have an original sequence in 4K but my multicam seq is 1080p, the camera angles show up at 200% in the multicam window without any way to change this. This should be adjustable.

I'm in 23.4, Win 11. Consolidate project is including tons of clips that aren't in the sequence I've selected, which is stupid and a waste of time and drive space to say the least.

Hi - Say I've got a sequence set to 1080p, using UHD footage so all the footage is scaled to 50% on the timeline. Then I bring that sequence into another multi-cam sequence as a multi-cam clip, also a 1080p seq, but then the footage shows up as scaled 100%. Fine. But, if I need to punch in a bit occasionally (why we've shot in UHD) that means I'm going > 100%. Q is - am I losing resolution here? I assume not but it's slightly confusing! Let me know if you have any insight here - many thanks! David

it woukd be nice if a captions track is present that when exporting premiere and or AME prompted whether you want to include captions . it's easy to forget to go to the captions tab to include them on export.

hi - for multicam editing I've always synced up my tracks in one sequence, then dragged that sequence to a new sequence to create a multicam sequence. Is this not possible any longer? Doesn't seem to work any more - just drags all the tracks into the new sequence - doesn't create a multicam. thanks in advance

Hello - I've seen solutions that almost do what I need but haven't been able to get it using nesting. I have an image on the right side of the screen (I've thrown in a generic image in the attached file for example purposes) - I need to do a subtle zoom on that image without that left edge moving - so it's zooming within that third or so right-hand portion of the frame. Seems like this should be simple but it doesn't seem to be. I've got a series of images I need to do this on so any advice on quick and simple solutions will be much appreciated - thanks in advance!

hi - it's Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.19 GHz 16GB RAM Windows 10 64-bit NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 I'll try the cleaner tool below. It's been like this since I had to use this laptop as a temp replacement for my desktop machine - I had a second monitor plugged in to HDMI - the display on the external monitor was fine but the display on the built in monitor was garbled. I was able to use it ok as the HDMI monitor worked fine, but now I'm on the road and needing to use the laptop on its own and the display is unusable in Premiere.
