I am able to drag a shadow Effect from the effects folder above the PNG logo in the effects window.

I can't add shadows or strokes to that PNG when selected unless I add it to the timeline. Again, I did create a new layer in Essentials and added the PNG file, but have no adjustment abilities like shadows, etc. with it.

Also, I added a layer to a mogrt I created. The layer was a png file (our logo). With Legacy Title, it was easy to add shadows and strokes, etc. to that logo. Do I have to add the logo to another video track now?

Again, Essentials is fine. I do wish they would put the "Create New Title from Current" selection icon just to make it easier. This is whether it's Legacy or Essentials. Thanks again for your help.

Probably beatking a dead horse, BUT! Playing around with Essentials and it's fine. However, there were things about Legacy Title that made it much more efficient. Now granted, I am in no way an expert with Essentials since I just started using it. So my comments or concerns may be due to a lack of knowledege. So here just a couple of examples. The titles you create are not in a bin anywhere, which is a bit strange. I know I can double-click and a title window opens up. I just like more control over the asset itself. The "New Title Based on Current Title" is gone. This slows me down since I like to create all of the titles at one sitting. In any event, just some glancing remarks from someone who's only scraped the service of Essential Titles.

Just switched from Premiere Pro 2020 to 2023. I get the gist of Essential Graphics so I created my own, both static and animated and saved the mogrts. When I drag to the timeline, it looks like the render, but then disappear from the timeline. It wasn't until I exited PP 2023 and re-entered that I was able to drag and see the mogrt in the timeline. Is this the method for loading mogrts you create? You have to exit and then re-enter? Thanks Steve

Just jumped from Premiere Pro 2020 to 2023 and experimenting with mogrts. I believe I get the gest of it, but when I try to drag the mogrt I just created to the timeline, it disappears. As an experiment, I closed CC 23 and reopened it and then was able to add the mogrt to the timeline. Is this how you have to do it? Thanks Steve

Well I hope I'm wrong, but the first thing we noticed after purchasing 10-Elements 2023 licenses was that burning to DVD is gone. The second thing we noticed is that most of the Audio FX are gone. This is an upgrade? Why does it appear that everytime you upgrade Adobe, you lose features? Nice upgrade!

P.S. I know this points to another program that's on the computer, but we have Elements 2019 on here before and it was rock solid. We also have Premiere Pro 2020 on this system and it runs fine.

We are having crashing issues with Premiere Elements 2022 as well. It happens durng various times of the editing process. Here are details from the Event viewer. I've created a fillable PDF "Equipment Request Form" from a document we had. We now have that form on our website, but can't figure out how to put a "send" button on it to email the completed form to a staff member. I'm not 100% sure, but I think there's still an issue with AC3 and standard def videos recorded on an external DVD burner. HD videos and AC3 in Windows 10 has been working so far. But as mentioned, no audio on SD videos with AC3 and Windows 10. Thanks Steve

Again, these files were recorded on external DVD burners with AC3 audio. I know that Elements 2018 had issues with Dolby audio. Apparently so does 2019 when it comes to SD videos? Our HD videos are fine.
