I don't think you've posted to the bug report about this, at https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-bugs/cd-burning-fails-audition-both-latest-release-and-latest-beta-crash-immediately-burning-is-starte/idi-p/15280075 I have to ask, why?? The more of us who raise this as a problem hopefully, the more likely it is to be resolved, I think. EDIT: just to add; the forum we're now in is for users to help other users; as a general rule, it seems that Adobe staff don't actively participate here. Hence, the need to post to the bugs forum, where they do at least read posts and, from time to time, repsond.

Why indeed? I've just repeated the exercise, using the latest release version and have added a couple of screenshots and the latest log file (but see below). The first screenshot is what I see on first opening the CD Burn screen. AA was updated some days ago so the computer has been rebooted several times since then. The following appears (as expected) when the OK button is pressed. I complete the form and send it. I can't attach the log because it seems that the forum software can now not accept .txt files!!!

https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/can-no-longer-burn-music-cds/td-p/15279614 also refers to this problem. As I reported there, this is a CD which I have previously burned successfully with an earlier relase of AA. The error message and report which appeared with the release version has been sent to Adobe. The Crash Recovery service did "activate" but did not allow burning to proceed on the second attempt. I wonder wherther this is related to the issue of problems when attempting to "Extract Audio from CD"?: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-bugs/extracting-audio-from-cd-in-audition-crashes-the-program/idi-p/15269725. Latest AA log file is attached.

I think you are correct! I'm also running Win 11 Pro 24H2 and Audition (latest release). I've just tried to burn a CD using both the latest release of Audition and the latest Beta (the CD was one I had previously burned successfully); both attempts failed. The release version created an Error Report, which I sent to Adobe; the Beta simply "disappeared! Can I suggest you follow the advice in this post and send a bug report to Adobe? I will do the same. P.S. It appears the problem has also caused Audition to fail to actually close properly, at least I cannot now re-open it!

Is it not possible to have input and output on separate interfaces when using ASIO? Simple answer: No, sorry. The ASIO specification demands the same input and ouput interface. However, if you investigate the free ASIO4All you will find that it will alow you to use different input and ouput interfaces, though you may need to spend some time setting it up properly in order to achieve what you want. the 23.6.1 version is still a -1 version of the current 24th version Actually the current version is 25 so 23 is not -1. I just checked via my Creative Cloud account and the only "old" version still accessible to me is 24. However, I do understand your frustration! Following a complete computer "crash" recently - the machine would not even switch on, let alone boot up - I lost access to several "older" versions which had been still installed. Thankfully, I didn't need access to any of them but ...

I notice the Open In Adobe Premiere Pro is Grayed-Out Then I believe that indicates the non-beta version of PP which you have installed is not compatible with your version of Audition, as SteveG suggested in his reply to you!

I think the key may be to NOT reinstall PP Beta, at least until after you have done the round-trip from Audition to Premiere Pro (non-beta) at least once. But, as SteveG asked, are you certain that the versions of AA and PP (non-beta) you have installed are compatible?

I'd love a response from someone who doesn't think a new user is a SPAMBOT I think it is quite clear from the various replies you've received that no-one considers you a SPAMBOT! Unfortunately, I can't answer your core question but I can say that I reported a now-deleted post as AI-generated/SPAM. You did not create that specific post, clearly! It would seem a Moderator or Admin removed it so it is no longer visible.

Not FOR me? Possibly so, but the fact that this bug cannot be universally reproduced is highly relevant to the discussion, surely? And since it does not affect ALL users do you not accept that the "opposing" (to you) view is equally valid? In such circumstances, I really do not know how Adobe can even begin to look into it, sorry.

I'm not at all sure why you consider this should be available in one step? My work process is as I stated it because I want to keep the original wav, the "processed" wav AND the .mp3. I have never tried to go "straight" to an .mp3 because that is simply NOT a suitable workflow for me.

Yesterday I edited a 48kHz 16 bit wav to remove gaps etc and then used Save as.. to save the processed version. I then used Save as.. again to produce an .mp3 copy of the processed wave, all without problem. Using AA 25.0.0.47. So, I rather think there is very little, if anything for Adobe.... to look into, sorry,

Have you checked that Audition has "permission" to use your mic, whether internal or external? I know this is a particular "feature" of Win 11.

That poor support, by which I presume you are referring to the replies you have received here, is provided by fellow-users, NOT Adobe staff. The fact that you have now cancelled your trial, based entirely on not receiving the "support" you demand, suggests a very truculent user. Sorry to be so blunt! The simple fact is that I suspect no-one who visits here actually knows how to do what you are asking! It is extremely unusual to want "speech", even that generated by a TTS service, to be wholly and exclusively one single frequency. In my understanding of the term, such a request goes beyond a "monotone", since any voice inherently includes a multiplicity of frequencies. In that sense monotone would imply a voice whose fundamental pitch or intonation never varies but will still contian those multiple frequencies. What you seem to be seeking is far beyond that! I'm not even sure how intelligible such a "voice" would be.

I've never used 44.1kHz files with PluralEyes so have no idea whether it "converts" such files to 48kHz when it synchronises them but, since audio for video is usully 48kHz it is possible that PE is making that conversion. With apologies, I realise I may have confused you with my earlier suggestion to use MediaInfo and referring to "video" files; the app will work with audio-only files and will enable you to verify that the synced files being output from PE are 48kHz.

Thank you for the xml file. A very quick read of it shows this line (under the Audio section); <samplerate>48000</samplerate> Your audio sampling rate is 48kHz! (Which is what I would expect for audio in a video file, as I wrote earlier). You've set up your Audition session as 44.1kHz. Inevitably, therefore, Audition must resample the audio to make it match your session rate.

Can you attach the .xml file produced by PluralEyes? Can you also download and use the free MediaInfo utility to analyse one of your video files, and copy and paste here the data from its Text view?

I don't see why 44100 is not good for video? I've always been like that and it's always worked fine 44.1kHz is not not good, it is simply not standard for video! I don't know whether the fact that one file is 24bit and the other 16 will create any problems, I rather think it won't. But when i import the files myself into audition and put them on different track, i don't have this conversion thing, so i don't get it.. I assume from this that you are now creating a 44.1kHz session in Audition? Or do you mean you are now bypassing PluralEyes?

If you want to use 44.1kHz audio files in a session and not have them resampled by Audtion to 48kHz, the only way in which you can do this is to set your Audition Session Sample Rate to 44.1kHz. I understand what you are saying about PluralEyes, but are your audio files 44.1kHz before importing to that app? As I wrote before, 44.1kHz is not the "standard" sample rate for audio for video.

Are you sure your imported files are 44.1kHz? It is rather more usual for audio from video files to be 48kHz. In which case, as @SteveG_AudioMasters_ writes, if your session is 44.1 Audition must convert the sample rate.

Is there a way of batch processing all clips so that the graphics are equalised? That is, the lower frequencies of the male match those of the female? Do you really want your male voice to "sound like" your female voice in its lower frequencies? Surely, one of the definitions of difference between the voices of the two sexes is the different frequency ranges inherent to each.

Audition cannot "edit" video, only the audio part of a video file. In other words, when you cut your audio track to remove the silence it has NO EFFECT whatsoever on the video.

@nicholasboyles What "location"? VST3 should default install to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3. You should not attempt to install them anywhere else, I believe. Also, are you sure your VST3s are Effects and not Instruments? Audition can, and does use the former but not the latter.

I am not a Mac user but there are a number of threads in the forum where users have experienced similar, if not the same problem. In most, if not all cases, this was caused by a Mac security or permissions setting which prevents your "mic" accessing Audition.

I've never even tried to use such a high sample rate for recording, but I have to ask: what usable and useful audio are you expecting to "see" at frequencies which are well above the limit of human hearing? Even 60kHz is "inaudible", without worrying about 96kHz!
