Intrigued about this, I tested this using @Richard M Knight 's suggestion on a stereo, 48kHz, 16 bit file I had been working on. With the quality setting on 100%, MediaInfo reported the bit rate as 500kbps. Reducing that setting to 50%, the bit rate dropped to 160. Setting the quality to 60% produced the following data: Audio ID : 794883420 (0x2F60F55C) Format : Vorbis Format settings, Floor : 1 Duration : 1 h 6 min Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 192 kb/s Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz Compression mode : Lossy Stream size : 91.3 MiB Writing library : libVorbis (Reducing Environment) (20200704 (Reducing Environment)) Exactly the bit rate you want. HTH.
