I've gone into my settings and turned on auto-update.  I've set both of the check boxes for applications to be checked, but still it doesn't auto-update.  Instead, while I use Photoshop Beta, I get messages telling me that there's a newer version I can download when I close the app.  I've ended up adding CC to my start up so that, when I boot, I'm at least told what apps need updating and I can bang that out before opening them.  But I just want things to autoupdate when I'm not using them.  What could I be missing here?  Working on Win11 Home and not SUPER techy, so be gentle with your techy responses.  🙂  Thanks!     ... I can create from “New” and set the size for a white background working start, but “Generate Image” is grayed out on both the contextual bar and the drop downs. I’ve used it before successfully.  … The only thing I could find in searching is to make sure that under    File >  Preferences > Plugins > Enable Generator checkbox is ticked. But I checked that and, as you can see in the second image, it is ticked. … I’m not sure what more to do and really wanted to generate some images for a newsletter I’m doing.  I'm on a Win 11 PC with a current subscription to Adobe Creative Suite.     ... I found a chain that discussed a problem I was having in Photoshop and commented on it a couple of times til I happily resolved the problem.  But I'm still getting all the emails from every time someone posts.  I've returned to the thread and, after going through many pages to find my three postings because there doesn't seem to be a way to search for mine, none of my posts say "follow".  I would think there'd be a simple way to say "unfollow this chain" but I can't find it and don't want several emails a day on this never-endingly.  But I don't want to change my master settings for my account to not get email in case I post another question (like this one) or comment on another thread.   There must be something I'm missing?   If it's of any help in solving this, the thread is this one:  https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-beta-bugs/p-bracket-keys-not-changing-brush-size/idc-p/14722526/page/7#M16626 ... I scanned a paper photo at 600 resolution with the name photo-orig, opened it in Photoshop, and wanted to save a copy called photo-edit.  Over and over, it suggested a medium image quality of 5 instead of the 10 or 12 I like.  Degrading a shot down to 5 should be a conscious (and rare) choice, not the default!  Why is this suddenly happening and is there something I can do to get it to always be 12?  Or at least 10?   I could see it maybe saves the last one you used instead of defaulting at all, but I've tried setting it to 12 repeatedly and it keeps coming back with 5 the next time.   I've heard that re-saving a photo does always degrade it some and there's nothing I can do about that, but Photoshop shouldn't be suggesting that I do!  Thank you all!   Please note:  I'm not SUPER techie so if there are steps in your answer, please include then instead of assuming that i know where things are.  🙂   If it makes a difference, I'm on Beta 25.6.0 on a Windows 11 platform. ... I'm a user of Elements 2020 and a former user of 2019.   Today, I bought Elements 2021 and tried to load it on Windows.  After SLOWLY crawling up to 10%, I closed Firefox and suddenly the install stopped.  I didn't think I needed to keep Firefox open, but maybe it needed me to be logged in?  Or maybe it was a coincidence?  Anyway, I logged back into Adobe in Firefox (even though it seems unrelated) and restarted the .exe file. Now every time it gets to 2% installed, it konks out with "Connection Lost: We are unable to reach Adobe servers.  Please check your internet connectivity and firewall settings, then try again. (Error Code 113)." Clearly, from the fact that I can post this, I have internet connectivity.   And there's certainly nothing that I changed about my firewall or virus protection (Kaspersky) from the time I got it to 10% (like an hour ago) til now.  I've tried rebooting and that didn't help.  I've tried downloading the exe a number of times and no improvement with any attempt to run any of them.   I wondered if somehow the fact that it got 10% of the way through is messing things up, but I don't see any folders in C:\Program Files\Adobe for 2021 like I do for 2020 and 2019, so unless it's trying to load it someplace else, it doesn't seem to have created anything in the time it bombed.  I still see "Elements 2019 Organizer" and "Elements 2020 Organizer" folders out there.   Screen prints of the error message and my file structure are attached.  Thank you! ...
