I've been using the production version of PP but tried the Beta (updated) on my M1 Ultra Mac Studio fully specced, and while it opens the program, I can't get past the project screen before it crashes. Any thoughts ?

I like the way to import footage to PP, but I'd like to not see .MXF after all my files (or .MP4) or whatever filetype it is, as I'm also outputting for clients the filename using the Filename overlay effect, so I have to manually remove the .MXF from the bin in the name to get it to show cleanly. Is there any way (or future plan) to not bring the filetype across to the name in the bin ?

I too have just encountered this today for the first time - 10.15.7 and I was using an older version (14.9) of Premiere as I was getting beachballs reopening projects on newer versions. Now I can't even access my project which I need to finish for a client, or even pull out an XML to take it to another NLE. Need help urgently.

I've noticed especially when using Waves plug ins, that when I go to the control panel for that plugin, the interface is not redrawing to fill the breakout box, instead being about 10% size with a large red box filling the rest, and it's hard to maneouvre settings. Pic attached. Please fix it quickly.

I know this is more of a Red Giant question, but I'm using the Slide transition, and for the duration of the out and the in, any effects applied like Lumetri/layers in a nest disappear. Anyone had the same, and if so, any solutions ? The issue doesn't happen with native PP transitions.

Hi ... is there any way apart from manually of being able to populate a text layer with info regards the video file properties ? In the sense of "3840 x 2160, 25p", etc ? I know you can burn in the file name but I'm curious if there's a way to get what I'm looking for.

I'm getting this using 2018 versions of both PP and Audition - solution ? Export a Final Cut XML from PP, open that in Audition 2017 (I uninstalled 2018 as per above) and it's got all the tracks in a multitrack sequence

I'm using PP 2018 and exporting a sequence to Audition 2018, and it links back and forth, but is only opening a 2 channel mix of what I'm sending instead of a multitrack project as it used to - is there something different since 2017 ? This is frustrating and needs to be solved ASAP.

So I'm in the middle of converting hundreds of WAV's to M4A's for a project I'm working on, and after updating to CC 2018, now it's broken - I'm now getting : "An error occurred when saving the file to disk. The destination may be full or no longer available" with a red exclamation symbol next to the file(s) concerned. The disk is a NAS (I've also tried local) and now, as others have found, I can't roll back to CC 2017 - I have installed CS6 which works, but now looking for another solution quick smart - Adobe, get this fixed !

I'm new to Connect and a client of ours has tasked me with editing one of their Connect sessions (removing some content, replacing others) - the MP4 file that I got from the production company runs at about 20.3fps, and ultimately I'd like to have the original at 25fps - does Connect record a local version that you can take off disk or do you only get what was output on the webcast ?

Yes it is quite nifty - it'd be good to have BWAV files that co-incide with the video so that it's easier to line up for multicam/general audio striping - I use a Zoom H6, which is a great machine but there's nothing to tie in sync except for a slate tone I use (and a clapper if I have it).

I'm still yet to find a definite answer on whether BWF files with timecode/markers embedded will sync when brought into Premiere ? I'm about to purchase the Tascam DR-701D which embeds SMPTE timecode into the signal when you record from a compatible camera (in my case GH4) so that when you start the camera with it's timecode, the Tascam locks sync with it and records that as a Broadcast WAV (BWAV) file. So can Premiere read those BWAV files and the timecode information ? I read it was being implemented but there's no definite answer.

I have the same issue as you AndrewNoel.... Lucky I checked before exporting 2 x YouTube, a Facebook and a DVD version of the project ! I've copied across the Looks folder (including the particular VLOG I'm using for my GH4) and it's not transferring - I can't apply the .cube look as there's graphics and non VLOG footage either side of the effect. Looks like a long render night.

The full message is "You can't open the application Adobe Photoshop CC because it's not supported on this type of Mac." - why ? I notice people had the issue back in June, but this after the new point update for Photoshop CC - the update was OK but I can't access the program and it's regularly used.
