After Effects

I am new to Adobe After Effects. I saw a video and am trying to duplicate an animation effect they did. However, shortly into the video they select the pen tool, and then a little to the right in the toolbar, you can clearly see options for what I believe are "fill" (or color) and "stroke" before the rotobezier checkbox. (Yes I know, it's in Spanish, apologies.)However, in my toolbar when I click the pen, I don't get these same buttons/tools/whatever:I have tried messing around in menus, looking all over the place, but I cannot seem to figure this out - can anyone help me get those two options into my toolbar?

Hi there, I converted an AI asset to a shape layer and can't figure out why the bounding box is so much larger than the layer itself. It's also not letting me select and edit individual assets within the layer. Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, I just installed Aftereffects  and when I make my project it has low RAM warning while the necessary requirements are met to use the app with no problem. 

Hi! When i use the speed graph in the graph editor it shows a red and green graph instead of just a red or grey/white one, which makes it impossible to work around with. How can I get my speed graph to only have one line instead of both? (Yes, i've set my keyframes to easy ease!)Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello everyone.I have been using After Effects for many years and I have been having a problem for a while.For my video projects, I export objects from 3D programs as 360 degree sequential PNG. and I import them comfortably as sequential PNG in my AE projects.But for some reason for a while now, although all the operations are the same, I cannot import the sequential PNG files I created into AE.I get error as in the images I attached.Has anyone experienced this problem? Is this a general problem? Thank you.

Whenever i try to open after effects i get the following error tried reinstalling tryed safe mode reseting preferences nothing is working.

Hello, so i've been using After Effects for quite awhile, never have had any problems until now. Recently i've been creating videos again, rendering all of them the same exact way having no problems. Until the other day where i went to render one at H.264 and i got "Warning: Output file will be resized from 1920x1080 (1:00 PAR) to 320x1080 (6:00 PAR) to meet format constraints." now i have NO clue what this means or why it happened or how to fix it, non of my settings on AF were changed at all, it just did this out of no where.can anyone help me out and guide me how to fix this issue? thank you in advance

Hi everyone,(After Effects CC 2025)I'm trying to add an effects in a clip during work but it crashes on the same frame every time, it doesn't give me an error message it just crashes. I've tried removing all the effects from the clip and it still crashes, if I try to render the rest of the video and not the start it just crashes somewhere else further down but those two clips don't have similar effects or anything like that.I've tried clearing my disk cache,going into secret settings and turning on the ignore error setting,upping and lowering my RAM,restarting my computer,removing every single effect from the clipbut nothing works, if someone could please help me I would really appreciate it. This has happened on my other videos many times before and I've just given up and my hard work went to waste.Thanks,

Olá, estava a acabar um projeto de edição para a aula de edição no Premiere Pro Beta e o software foi abaixo e depois quando o tentei abrir, nunca mais consegui! Já o tentei desinstalar, reinstalar, instalar versões anteriores, limpei o cache no appdata-roaming-adobe-common-cache(s) e nada funcionou? Tive de instalar o Premiere Pro padrão porque o Beta não funciona mais! O meu computador é bastante potente, 32gb de ram ddr5, windows 11 etc... Náo encontrei nenhuma informação online de alguém que teve esse problema no Premiere Pro Beta, somente algumas respostas inconclusivas sobre After Effect!O erro é esse: Falha de inicialização: bad index offset array Simplesmente, não inicializa! Existe alguma possibilidade de isso ser arranjado? Obrigado!

My Magic Bullet Looks plugin used to work fine and now every time I add looks to my project the preview becomes black but it just happens with that effect (I don't pay for mbl btw, they are crack versions). I've uninstalled and re-installed it many times with different ones and it always happens the same. In maxon, it appears in my products but it doesn't work. If anybody could provide any help I'd be extremely grateful.  

So i have a plugin and it only works on after effects version 23.2.1 and i can't find it on adobe creative cloud app. I have no idea on how to get it?

Hi community. hope everyone is enjoying the holidays. I have followed a tutorial how to make a seamless loop using trapcode particular.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVAEo2bqxyc&t=199s But for my project I need only 48 frames, which converted into seconds is: 2 seconds.So in the particles settings Particle master Life, I make it so the particles last 2 seconds. which should correspond to 48 frames, But I still get s snapping loop. rather than a smooth seamless loop.  Thank you.

 There are quality problems in some colors, for example, purple looks bad like this. What should I do to fix it? white text looks normal but purple not

I am not been able to remove flicker from a footage. I have used deflicker but didnt work. Then i used flicker free which still is not working so is their any way to solve this issue and the reaon i cant use masking or tracking to remove the flicker is that i have to work with nearly 100 footages to work with.

I'm currently unable to perform any work because my preferences are completely inaccessible in After Effects version 23.0 I rely on a group of plugins that do work in this (and prior) versions, but they require me to edit some of my preferences. I'm unable to access them at all to change them, even regular parts of my workflow that don't rely on plugins involve some custom preferences. What happens?:- Any means of attempting to open preferences in After Effects (via a dialog box or via the Edit > Preferences dropdown) results in After Effects instantly becoming unresponsive and needing to be closed forcefully Things I've tried:- Reinstalling After Effects- Removing all plugins and scripts from After Effects- Using an older version of After Effects- Resetting the preferences on load (deleting preferences file)- Clearing my Adobe Data- Reinstalling creative cloud- Restarting my computer- Using Revo Uninstaller to remove every single After Effects file

Hi all,I have done the trim path animation on AE a couple of times and it worked fine, but with solid colours, but with this logo I am working on  has this pastel painting style, so i am not sure if thats the reason, the effect works but the pen tool line I used to guide the trim path shows faded as part of the animation, I am not sure what I am doing wrong, I have tried looking around but no luck yet. Please help!

a client asked me to expand the background of their video so it could be cropped a certain way. i took a screen grab via premiere and expanded the image's background via photoshop. i then converted the footage in premiere pro into an after effects composition via dynamic link. then i imported the png of the expanded background into the AE comp. the issue is that the expanded background has higher contrast than the footage in after effects. it looks like after effects is interpreting the footage in a different color space (?), making the expanded background appear with darker darks. this discrepancy in color happens only in after effects. i tried to find a way to color manage the png and comp but im stuck. doing rough color correction on the png doesnt create the seemless effect i was looking for either. if theres something i should do in terms of color settings/management, please let me know! i've attached screenshots to illustrate the issue further. i tried messing with after eff

Hi, I've been working on a full-dome 3D animation for a couple of years now and I'm looking for someone to help with a custom plug-in for After Effects, Photoshop and/or Combustion. I need to be able to drive filters and effects like Brush Strokes and 'sketchy' noise with the waveform from an audio file. I've been using a very poor mans workflow in which I've mapped the waveform by breaking it up into vertical ranges of varying intensities and then applying respective levels of the effects and filters to the sequential images based on where they fall in the waveform ranges. So for the test Ive done, I've been literally applying Photoshop actions to very small packets of still images from rendered sequences, and it has been dizzyingly time-consuming. Ideally I would want to be able to do this dynamically with a motion graphics package, but really I'm looking for as much help as I can get. Hello,Since Adobe after effects doesn't have an underline effect for fonts, and we all are tired of asking Adobe for it, I always have this requirements with my clients while doing my motion graphics of having text underlined.  I found a video on YouTube on expressions on how to do it. When I go to the next line on my text later this shape layer expression doesn't work. And for some reason the shape layer was sticking to the top end of the text later or on the bottom end of the text layer. I realised it was because of the anchor point of the text layer. But when I reset the anchor point to the middle of the text layer it didn't still work like an "Underline" effect. I know I can do multiple text layers and have multiple stroke layers and just animated the trim path as required. But it's not optimised. I wanted to know if we can like do

Currently, when I'm reviewing a composition, while playing back, the playhead scrolls out of sight. So, I cannot follow key frames, and when I hit Pause for editing, I first need to manually scroll to the current playhead position. That's cumbersome. So, is there an option to have the timeline window follow the playhead, either smoothly or by paging? Similar to this Premiere Pro setting:
