After Effects 25.0.1 (Build 2).  HUGE INTERLACE BUG.  Adobe please fix. NTSC footage - when changing intrepretation from UPPER or LOWER FIELD or vice-versa, AFX still does not honor changes when reversing the interlace, as After Effects has always done.  Emptying the disk cache does not help.  I must save the project with the interlace interpretation change, quit After Effects, and when reopening the project fresh, only then is the interlace interpretation change executed. Big and quite annoying problem, as I'm constantly fighting to set the proper field order, and I'm used to After Effects immediately honoring and displaying the interlace change as always in the past.

Everytime I use After Effects it keeps on crashing show me an error of (Unable to allocate memory). Even on light task like animating the motion of simple text and image it's giving me an error of not enough memory. This makes it totally unusable since it'll only take 2 - 5 mins for it to show the error, crash and then restart the software.IDK what's causing this issue but I'm using a couple of plugins and it didn't cause these error in the past.Here are the list of  plugins installed* borisfx sapphire* Mister Horse* Deep Glow* Fx Console.Here's my systemWindows 10 Proi9 10850kRtx 4070 ti super64 GB Ram2* 2TB NVME M.2 Samsung 980 pro

Dear All I’m experiencing an issue in After Effects where the render icon in the Render Queue stops working, turns dark, and becomes unclickable.anyone can help what is happinign?

After effects is now launching I disabled all fonts and all plugins and reset the prefrencesI deleted the cache and did every possible thing but nothing is workingI unistalled and installedI tried multiple versionsplease help what can I do more?

Hey,  I'm having this issue that might be easy to solve, but I just can't seem to do it. I need to do a mock-up of the bottom comp on the curved screen image on top. It's a static image so it won't require and tracking, but I just don't know how to do it - I've tried a lot of distort tools and combinations of them, without much success. Any ideas? thank you! 

Hello,I'm having an issue with a shortcut in After Effects 2024, 2025, and the beta version of 2025. I've been using the application for years and have always relied on shortcuts to speed up my workflow. For some reason, after updating to the latest versions, I can't add or edit shortcuts to move layers in and out in the timeline. I found some forums mentioning that After Effects may no longer support this feature—is that true? If not, why can't I edit such a basic and important keyboard shortcut? Any solutions or ideas? Does anyone know if there is a way to disable or customise the new AE (17.5.1) splash screen?I don't know why but I find having to look at 'REE ANC' every time AE starts up far more irritating than sad PS lady. I tried the -NoSplash trick with the shortcut path but no joy.

I'm not sure why but every time I render and export my after effects project, the final outcome is blurry. Imagine the sort of thing when you are trying to watch a youtube video on mobile data and the quality is reduced because its trying to load the video. This doesn't happen for any of my other projects which are not using the 3d camera so does anyone know why the 3d camera is causing this to happen?

I just bind the Position with an epression to an slider FX effect("Slider Control")("Slider") but in Premiere, the mogrt does not work. The slider is there, but nothing happens

ive been using after effects for a while now and never had a problem but now all the sudden whenever i render a video its terrible quality. i made my composition from my footage and it looks fine in after effects but when i render the video from after effects using any footage without editing it at all it looks terrible. all the render settings are completely default and im exporting in h.246 mp4 format. ive attatched the raw video and what it looks like after exporting and screenshots of all the export settings. i got 1 error that says itll change the output from 60.026fps to 60fps so audio may not synch but i googled it and cant find a way to fix it. the error only happens when i change from avi to mp4 and if i export in avi it looks fine. although ive been getting this error since i started using ae so i dont think its the cause. clips were recorded on my phone and sometimes the frame rate varies by a bit but has never caused a problem before. please help

Hi, can anyone help me? I was just editing in After Effects and Illustrator, then I saved the AI file, but all the AI files that were already uploaded to After Effects disappeared (I think it's because I saved it twice). does anyone know how to restore these files? i really need it for my uni assignment😭 I’ve tried replacing the file with the same one, but it still appears black😭

I am a macOS user and recently updated to Catalina.I found late that I couldn't run ESTK in Catalina. ExtendScript Debugger Extensions for Visual Studio Codehttps://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=Adobe.extendscript-debug As a workaround I am using ESTK debugger in VS code.But when I use $ .writeln there is no response. Do you know how to return results to VSCode's debug console?Please answer, Thanks.

During playback, the Current time indicator is not moving. It moves a bit and then freezes. I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I'm using a new Intel PC with plenty of ram (64 GB). My other PC is an AMD and doesn't have this issue. Is this a known bug? The only solution I've found from others involves reinstalling Windows. I'd prefer to avoid that.

As soon as I switch the project to Advanced 3D Renderer, all the layers disappear from the screen.But when I switch them back to 2D, they reappearI will work with 3d objects so I have to work on the advanced 3d renderer note: I don't face this problem when I work on the classic 3d or cinema 4d 

HiI'm rendering a 6 minute video in after effects. It's been going on for over 14 hours and stuck on 89% done. Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks

Just got a Mac Mini M4 Pro (12-Core CPU, 12-Core GPU, 48GB RAM, 512GB SSD), but I’m running into slow 3D rendering performance in advanced 3d. Even simple animations aren’t previewing properly, and renders are taking much longer than expected. The scenes only have 3-4 .obj models and a hdr model. Strangely, my older machine (Ci7 12th gen, 32GB RAM, 4GB RTX 3050) renders 4x faster. I’m using After Effects and default settings. Running MacOS sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70). Could this be a hardware limitation or a setting issue? Anyone else experiencing this with M4 chips? Any fixes? 

Hi everyone,We've noticed a weird RAM behavior in After Effects 2020 (17.5.1 - Build 47) and Media Encoder (14.0.1 - Build 70). When closing and opening a project multiple times, After Effects’ RAM usage is continuously growing especially when the project contains expressions (even the simplest one). Closing the project and purging memory (and Disk Cache) do not reduce the RAM usage! The only way to make the RAM usage drop seem to be closing After Effects! The same problem exists when sending these projects to Media Encoder. The RAM, used by the After Effects sub process under the Media Encoder main process, continually grows and does not drop even when the rendering process is complete.We already know that expressions can be RAM consuming but the fact the RAM is not freed after the project is closed seems not normal.We tried to reduce the case to the simplest situation and made a benchmark.
