After Effects

I want to build a renderfarm where i can replace text and images without opening after effects. Now i am doing this using extendedscript and cep panel,socket.io.  Is there way for automation without opening after effects or adobe api for that or advanced usage of aerender.exe something? How to build effienct template changing after effects render farm.

Here's the scenario: I created a text layer for an overlay that was meant to fade in and out dynamically with a smooth easing effect.However, when previewing, the text layer behaves strangely—it either flickers or disappears completely during the animation.This only happens when I apply the Track Matte Alpha setting to blend it with a shape layer below. I am working on a animation and encountered something weird. In some frames there are these strange black lines showing for 1-2 seconds. Please see the screenshot. I am curious what causes these lines to show. Specs of my composition:1080 x 1350 px (4:5/0.80 aspect ratio)Square pixels30 fps After Effects version 25.1.0 (Build 68) 

 

Hi, guys! I'm trying to make a paragraph text layer that adapts to the lenght of the text - I use the same layer to multiple texts and I need it to be easier to do, sometimes when the text is bigger than the previous, the paragraph layer cuts part of my texts off. I'm studying the sourceRectAtTime expression to make that happen, but I tried a lot and couldn't find a way to make it work 😞 I have tried anchor point, position and scale settings, but I can't make this "responsiveness" happen. Is there a way to do that? 

I worked on a project with AE Beta and now can't open my project with my normal AE. Is there a way I can convert it back? I got this message, when I tryed to open it with AE 22.5All my programs are updatet to the latest versions.Macbook Air M1 12.5.1 AE Beta 23.0AE 22.5

Hey - long time troubleshooter first time poster -  1. Version of the app: 25.0.1 (Build 2)2. Platform and OS version:MacOS 14.4.1 (23E224)3. Basic steps to recreate the problem:When I try to click and drag to create a shape layer, it immediately creates a (invisible) shape layer in my comp. It doesn't let me drag out the shape. Same thing is happening with my pen tool - when I click to create a point, it creates an invisible shape layer.4. Expected Result vs. ActualFor the shape layer it should allow me to drag out a rectangle, but it creates a shape layer immediately. For the pen tool, it should create a point. Danny

i have after effects 25.0 installed but the creative cloud not showing the update to 25.1 . i go online and the update says my computer is not compatabile. any ideas

My Magic Bullet Looks used to work fine, I re-installed after effects after having a misunderstanding over a clip which was HEVC and I thought it was mp4. After I realised there was no problems with the HEVC and converted my HEVC clip to MP4, my new re-installed After Effects shows a Black Screen whenever I apply Magic Bullet Looks. I don't have a graphics card and cannot switch from "Mercury Software Graphics", I am running an I5-1035G1, 8GB ram and my computer is 64 bit on windows 11. I have even tried switching between "8bpc", "16bpc" and "32bpc". My After Effects before re-installation didn't say this but this one does, in the top right corner "Display Acceleration Disabled". I am running After Effects CC 2021 by the way, if anybody could provide any help I'd be extremely grateful.

Hi everyone, I’m working on a project for HV Home Builders (https://hvhomebuilders.ca/) where I need to create a professional promotional video using After Effects. However, I’m facing an issue where the video preview becomes laggy, and transitions don’t render smoothly, especially after adding motion graphics like text overlays and effects. I’ve tried adjusting the resolution and clearing the cache, but it’s not resolving the problem. Does anyone have advice on optimizing After Effects for smoother previews and rendering for this kind of project? Thanks in advance!   

Bonjour, Je me suis retrouvé dans une situation que je rencontre régulièrement, travaillant sur des films publicitaires.   J'ai un plan (Raw_footage_Sample) que j'ai dû accélerer pour avoir les élèments qui m'interèsse à l'écran.Puis je dois passer mon plan dans after effect afin de le travailler.Mon plan dans Premiere pro est reglé sur 150% de sa vitesse, cela dit, une fois dans after effect, je vois qu'il est consideré comme étant à 100% (1sec/1sec), alors qu'il est bien lu à 150% lors de mon export (car l'image d'entrée est la même que celle de sortie, ou en d'autres termes, on voit exactement la même chose que lors du mongage sur premiere), et évidemment, dans premiere pro, le plan sample.aep est à 100% aussi (ce qui est logique pour moi) Maintenant imaginons que je veuille, une fois l'avoir mis dans after effect et travaillé, repasser ce plan à 100% de sa vitesse dans after effect, peut-importe la raison (croyez-moi, il y en a)Comment dois-je faire??Il y a-t-il un m

Colors in the library (same color code) are appearing duller on screen in the 2025 version of After Effects compared to the 2024 version. Can someone explain this phenomenon? This doesn't appear to affect any exports, but there is a visible difference in the After Effects interface.

When I load a 3D model into After Effects and add it to a composition, it doesn't appear in the Preview, just a black screen. In an animation I need lots of quick cross dissolves from one frame to another. So I use the sequence option to offset all frames and do a cross between them. But this results in white flashes in the middle of each dissolve. How can I prevent this?

For some reason, I cannot import any files to After Effects? I'm trying to make a simple composition of a .png-file, it's size is 1.39 MB. I keep getting a pop-up telling me "Memory Allocation of 2,2 GB exceeds internal limits. Decrease the memory requirements for rendering this frame (12802)". I've tried clearing my cache, in- and decreasing the memory requirements, deleting After Effects and downloading it again, and nothing helps. Anyone know what to do?

Hi, I have got two clips on premiere timeline. one from DJI Mavic 3 in DLOG and second from FX3 in SLOG3. When I open it in AE the Sony footage is totally oved graded, contrasted... Can you help me, where is the problem? I tried to export the FX3 clip, put it back to timeline and it works fine. But original one is totally unuseable!
