After Effects

Hello, I have noticed that PF_InData num_params is always zero and all examples are using hard-coded value of parameters count. It looks like a bug. I have a workaround I can use global_data, but it looks not so pretty and I would avoid it.

This is driving me crazy. I've been working on this project a lot and since yesterday there are A LOT of instances where some particular keyframes can't be draged. Only sellected, Can't even right click them, but others on the same properties can be grabed no problem. I tried zooming in and out, restarting the software, updating.... the issue persists

Hi !I got a question about the "Set Matte" effectsI want to use it on a ".png" files, to make appear a YT Logo on my animation, but it don't works while it does on a text, so IDK what to do. Anyone got an idea please?Thanks 🙂

I need to export a file with the following specifications: 10880 x 120 pixels at 60 fps. I export it to .MOV no problem, when I export it to MP4 I can't view it on any player. Can anyone help me? Where am I wrong? The only format accepted by the customer is MP4. 

Hi, I'm trying to add an animator to a text layer, so I can change the position. But with the last update of After effects I cannot see the values (from 0 to 100%) so I can't modify it. I just can change the position of the whole layer, but not on the animator.I attach a photo so you can see the problem.I'll appreciate any help

Hey there! for the past couple of weeks I've been having this issue that I just can't find a way to fix. When I try to export a video directly from After Effects, it just comes out black and 1 second long. (1st picture). At first I thought I wasn't selecting the whole lenght of the video, but I've checked multiple times and it's selected. When I try to send it to the Media encoder, it just turns out with this gradient (2nd picture). This happens to me both in After effects and premiere pro.  The third picture is how the video turrns out when I export it directly from Premiere Pro. If I try doing it with the Media Encoder it turns out with the same puple gradient. At first I thought maybe I was running out of memory space, then I formated my computer but it didn't help 😞

Hi, So i have a compistion with a precomp containing six 3D 500 x 500 shape layer placed to form a cube, the precomp is duplicated 27 times to make a Rubiks Cube.I have the anchor point of all the Cube (Precomp) placed at the center of the whole (27) cube.Is there a way to create a rig where i have just six sliders to control the rotation (vertical and Horizontal) of the Rubiks Cube.I've tried assigning some rotation values to the slider but some at some point the animation gets scattered.Any help Please.

I tried unticking, or ticking the photoshop sequence option on import. I always use the correct retain layer sizes options etc.Is there another option to try?

Hi ,My precompose shortcut on windows 10 is not working. CTRL+SHIFT+C.I think it happened after installing some After updates. I've already tried to reset AE preferences but it did not solve the problem.  Thanks

Hi I have this problem where effects I put in my under comps aren't showing on my main comp, the worst part is that one of my under comps does update, just not the two before. I was messing around with everything and noticed that it started working again when I removed my transform key points in my main comp. I'm posting here to figure out how I will be able to transform my main comp without it making under comps not work? They all have live update on.  

Im exporting a project in DNxHD 10bit,  I exported a similar project last year with embedded alha.However I find that with the latest version of AE I am unable to export with embedded alpha (that my client using Avid can use).In the output module settings the UNCOMPRESSED setting has been replaced with COMPRESSED.Previously I have had to have uncompressed selected in order for the alpha to work.   Now the only choice available is No alpha or compressed. My workaround is that I have installed AE 2021. I render prores4444 with alpha from AE 2022 then import into AE 2021 and export DNxHD 10bit with Uncompressed alpha.This works but seems to be a long way round to fix something that worked fine a year ago.

As you see in the screenshot, the green line is limited and when I try to pre-render the whole comp, the line moves and will never stay green for the whole duration of the composition despite being set to "entire duration" in the preview panel, please help

I've encountered a bug related to importing 3D files (GLTF and OBJ formats) into After Effects projects. Here's a detailed explanation of the issue:1. When importing 3D files (GLTF or OBJ), After Effects automatically creates a "Textures" folder.2. If the user renames this "Textures" folder, a problem occurs upon reopening the project.3. After reopening the project, After Effects deletes all the texture files from the renamed folder.4. The 3D objects in the project still retain their textures visually.5. However, when using the "Collect Files" function, the texture files are not included in the collection.Steps to reproduce:1. Create a new After Effects project.2. Import a 3D file (GLTF or OBJ format) with textures.3. Locate the automatically created "Textures" folder.4. Rename the "Textures" folder to something else (e.g., "Textures A").5. Save and close the project.6. Reopen the project.7. Check the renamed folder - texture files should be missing.8. Attempt to use "Collect Files" fu

Timeline Context - Time Bar at top of Timeline auto-resets. WHY???It seems to reset after a render and/or switching between AE and other apps. Each day, I have to reset it for every come about 100 times; once for every comp in an AEP and for each time AE does this, all comps are affected. It's insane or at least it's driving me up the wall, ceiling, down and then back up again. I'm hopeful this is an easy fix.

Facing a oftenly happening issue here with the 3D camera. Whenever I try to change Camera type (Classic 3d > Advanced 3d for example) it either shuts down itself, or forces me to make a save file before it changes camera and closes the software or both. This happens when I turn a layer into 3D or change render options of a 3D layer. Once this happens, the last version of project file becomes unavailable to being used because that same error pops up every time i open it. This happens when I set a 3d camera layer (regardless of the preset or camera type) and turn a layer into a 3D. I actually need to solve this ASAP   

1. Created New Comp2. In comp settings I selected black as a background color3. When placed in timeline, there is NO BACKGROUND, just the transparency grid. This makes it impossible to see what is going on when I go into 3D mode. The only thing visible in 3D mode is the transparency grid.4. Elements in the comp float over the transparency grid, so as usual, I created a solid for the BG layer.5. Took that comp into 3D in both Classic and C4D and no background appears, even with the solid layer in the comp. Only thing visible is the transparency grid.5. I'm using Mac OS 14.6

I uncheck and recheck the proxy file & thats work for me 🙏👍
