I wasted a lot of time trying to rebuild an ANE after format my Mac and install the most updated version of my tools.The problem was that ANE for Android requires specific Java 6 and only Java 7 and 8 (the most recent version) are available for Mac.Ultimate I was able to download a version of JDK 6 from Apple web site however this is not the desire solution.Btw I'm using Flex 4.14.1 + AIR 17.Please update AIR to support Java 8 !

I am facing an issue with the Exiting event in AIR when creating my application using Flash builder. I'm currently running Mac OSX 10.6.8 and each time I download Adobe Air, the file downloads as damaged. I'm wondering if it's a version issue or if it is some other problem. I've checked the compatibility matrix for Adobe Air and OS systems but it doesn't seem to specify. I have another machine that is also Mac OSX 10.6.8 and Adobe Air seems to working fine. Could anyone help with this?Also, I had another machine OSX 10.4. I recently updated to 10.6.8 and installed Adobe Air v17 and its working fine.

When you are setting a StageText and try to write (Heb) the cursor are always at the left corner of the text box and that mean that you could not select any thing or insert text not in the end ot the textbox (I have chek that  in android samsong s2 )Thanks Amit Shvil

I used to be able to install adobe air over existing adobe air installed by running adobeairinstaller.exe /SNow I get too many arguments when I run it.I am running from an admin command line on the windows 7 machine. It currently has Adobe Air 16 installed and I want to up it to the latest version 17.0.0.172I have tried the -silent.Is there an MSI of this product out?

Can you please add support for bytesLoaded so that we can track the progress of videos being loaded into StageVideo on ios devices. Right now there is no way of creating an accurate video player with controls without tracking that information. This has been an issue for some time and I am trying to promote AIR as a true cross-platform tool but without this, I don't see how we can load videos for our users that are not bundled with the app and have a good experience.Thanks,Dan

I am creating an air for ios app with enterprise distribution. My app's ipa has worked great in the past until the recent ios version update. In a little research it sounds like enterprise distribution now requires a new entitlements.plist. Do anyone know how to publish an air for ios app with this entitlement?

We are building an app for Android that regularly seeks through a .mp4 movie (H264 without sound) using NetStream.The android system we are running on is Android 4.2.2 and Android 4.4.2.The application will always crash after running for a while.("Unfortunately, Application has stopped")In debugger mode, no Error is thrown. Even using UncaughtErrorEvent will not reveal any clues.We have looked into logcat, where we can see that the application will always exit after a Fatal signal 11:F/libc    ( 2661): Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at 0x00000000 (code=1), thread 2702 (oVideoNetstream)(for the full logcat error log, see bottom of post)We have tried using StageVideo as well as the Video object. Hello,I'm working on a PC application, and i've got lot of resource files (xml, pictures, videos...) . I deploy the app in standalone, so my folder look like that :- MyApp.exe- MyApp.swfAdobe AIRMETA-INFResourcesI'm looking for a way to securise my resources folder. I try for example, to package all my resources in a zip file and rename it without extension - yeah, i'm looking for that kind of "security"- , then load it at launch, but it's impossible to do that wtith a ~800Mo file.Does anybody have an idea to easily securize my app ?

On the air app xml tried the two ways, UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities ( gps ) and compile with default; 4. Tested in three iPhone's 4;   With the all Location Services On the air app always detect that the gps is muted. Please, does anyone know's what could be the problem?Cheers,Bruno

I've made and submitted a lot of apps with AIR and encountered many problems, but this is a new one to me:The app's Info.plist can't contain values for the UIRequiredDeviceCapabilities key that would prevent this app from opening on any iOS device.The build is uploaded and submitted fine, this is when I hit "submit for review" in iTunes Connect. No special features or anything are requested in the xml, it's a very basic app.

Lately when I try to test my app locally, two versions of the iOS simulator launch. I have the path set to/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKswith iPhoneSimulator8.3.sdk, and that one launches fine, but also the simulator at/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKslaunches, eventually crashes, and asks me to select a sdk (iPhoneSimulator3.2 - iPhoneSimulator4.3.sdk)Clearly this second simulator is unnecessary, but I'm not sure why it's launching or how to keep it from launching. Any recommendations?

Hello,I'm in the process of getting 2 apps ready for submission to the Amazon Kids program.One of the requirements for this program is "All app permissions set to the minimum required set".My games have no permissions set in the manifest but the captive runtime is forcing the INTERNET permission which generates a request for "full network access" when installing the apps on devices.I have seen this question asked before but with no satisfactory answers given.So is there any way to stop the captive runtime asking for this permission.If not, I will likely be unable to submit my apps to the kids program.Thanks,David.

I cannot update adobe air on my nook hd, even though I have an old version.  It gives me an error message that I already have that app.  I called adobe and they referred me to the forum.  Please help!

I just tried to open the FormsCentral application, but was prompted to update AIR. I went to the AIR website to get the latest version, and when I launch the AIR updater, it also prompts me to update AIR.I also attempted to open my Creative Cloud Updater and received the same message. I tried to install a few times. I have been unable to update Adobe Air in Windows 8.1 with me being the administrator. Error messages indicate that I do not have permission to install the application. Online research tells me that I am not alone and am wondering if it's an Adobe or a Microsoft issue?
