I attempted to put this issue into the bugs db, but I cannot seem to access it - keeps asking for me to login, even when I am logged in (name at top) . In any case, on windows 8/8.1 if I access Camera.names or Camera.names.length, the app crashes completely. This only started happening when I installed a new hp wireless camera. If I uninstall the camera, reboot, all works again. Tested with a small app that calls Camera.names to verify this is the issue. This bug needs to be fixed, but what I find a bigger issue at the moment is that when I call Camera.names and I enclose it in try {} catch {} it still crashes - the app still crashes. So even if I try to contain the error so that the app doesn't crash, it doesn't work. Please fix at least the try .. catch piece, and better yet the Camera.names piece.
Hi!I find any solution for mobile services (Azure) on AIR.I think there is two way for it.1) Native extension (ane for each platform)2) ActionScript port from .js classMay be anybody found it?
I am trying to record a time-limited video with Adobe AIR for iOS. For example, I want to implement the following function. Start a one-minute timer before launching CameraUI to record video. When the timeout event happens after one minute, stop recording video, close the CameraUI view and obtain the video data so far. I have several questions related to that. 1. How to stop recording video from outside the CameraUI view(in this case, from the timeout event handler) and then close the CemeraUI view? As far as I know, to close the CameraUI view, the only way is to press the [Use Video] button or the [Cancel] button from inside the CameraUI view. Is it possible to close it from outside? 2. Even if the first problem mentioned above is solved, then how can I get the video data so far(in this case, the video data before the timeout). I know that normally we can get a MediaPromise object from MediaEvent parameter of the complete handler, and read the video da

I'm building an iOS app using as3 and air to package the app onto my iPhone 6. My issue is that I get a black bar above and below the app, the app itself is not going fullscreen. The stage screen is set to the iPhone 6 screen dimensions.I have tried by adding the following launch images into the app folder; Default-667h@2x.png, Default-568h@2.png, and Default@2x.png. But it's not being displayed properly.Does anyone have any fixes for this?
I struggle with getting SME's to review Captivates because downloading Adobe Air is so difficult. Since I cannot download it again on my computer, I cannot test it to write better instructions. I need this for Captivate 7. Any ideas?

Has the the AIRGamepad API/feature been removed from the latest AIR for Android?I've developed a steering system for a game that I'm developing using the gamepad api.... it worked great 'till a few days ago.Now the Android Air app doesn't display the PIN of devices when shaking them.I'm currently running AIR 17.0.0.144.Is this a bug or has the feature been removed?(You can test the functionality here: http://www.flare3d.com/demos/gamepad/)
Never, ever had any problem updating Adobe AIR. Today for the first time I get this when trying to run the updatethen after clicking UpdateIs there an install log file somewhere that could help determine what the problem is?

So I updated my device to iOS 8.3 and now I get this error every time I try to test the app on the device through Flash CC 2014.I've updated my provisioning profile and I've checked that the App ID is the same on Flash than on Apple's website. This is an enterprise app and there were no installation problems before. Now dozens of users are installing iOS 8.3 and complaining they can't use the app.I've tried compiling with different Air versions with the same results. Flash 2014 CC is build 14.2.0.20Nothing has changed in the AS3 codebase. The app worked and installed fine on iOS 8.1.Adobe, I need to solve this ASAP.
Just downloaded the AIR SDK update (for mac) from 4/14/2015 and it seems as if the package contains version 17.0.0.124 and not 17.0.0.144. At least this is what the air-sdk-description.xml file says.
I'm trying to compile inappurchases.ane from game SDK and I'm getting this error message.Error: libproductStore.a are required to have universal iOS libraries. Please contact the ANE developer(s) to get the same. How can you use native extensions if ADOBE doesn't provide all of the updated ANE extensions, those days you need to compile the app for 64bites and 32 bits that means you need to you min. Adobe AIR 16.Thanks,Lucas
Have an interactive exhibit running on Air Run Time on Windows XP. When video runs inside the player window, the video is essentially duplicated horizontally so the image is squashed and plays two instances of the video top and bottom. Plays fine on the Mac. Also, running the SWF file in Flash Player does not exhibit the same problem. But running on Air on this XP machine displays doubled image. What can be causing this?
Hi,I'm trying to establish a secured TCP connection with a symmetric TLS authentication (two way authentication).I can connect with success to the server with SecureSocket if the client authentification is disabled but I don't know where to set my public/private key (in p12 format) on the Adobe AIR client side to make the connection successfull with client authentification enable. As mentionned on this page : Using TLS Client Authentication with AIR ApplicationsI tried on Android and Windows platform. I installed my client certificate to the respective trustsores on each platform. If I issue an request from a browser to the server from those platforms, I'm succesfully connected and authenticated (of course my server doesn't "understand" HTTP as it's a TCP server using a propretary protocol, but at least the TLS mechanism works). Is client authentication even supported for SecureSocket, I would be surprised if not as it seems to be such a basic thing ?Regards,Michel
Hey all,I was wondering if usb communication between two computers is possible and what I would need to get started. I want to connect two computers and send data through a usb cable. Prior app was using wifi however signal was not consistent and I need consistency.THanks!

With the latest AIR release (17), is there any way to still create a 32-bit only iOS app for testing on the iPad 1? It's currently not possible to install an app with 64-bit support on an iPad 1 to test the app. My understanding, however, is that Apple will do something on their end that will allow apps submitted to the App Store (with 64-bit support) to still be downloaded and installed on an iPad 1. Having a way to test on the iPad 1 before submission to Apple would be nice.Is there a compiler switch or something that can be used for this purpose? If not, could such a switch be added easily? If we had such an option, we could continue testing on and supporting the iPad 1. Being in the education market, this is kind of critical to us.Thanks,Chris SheffieldRead Naturally, Inc.www.readnaturally.com

Hello,I am making ANE for iOS. Getting below error.ArgumentError: Error #3500: The extension context does not have a method with the name init.at flash.external::ExtensionContext/_call()at flash.external::ExtensionContext/call()I made one example where I was getting same error so I downloaded SystemVolumeNativeExtension from below link. And recompiled but facing same error. When I am using given ANE which is inside downloaded folder that one is working fine. Now I am not understanding what can be the reason. As I think, I followed same process.nweber/SystemVolumeNativeExtension · GitHubI am using latest AIR SDK 17.0 and latest XCode.Command which I am using to create ANE: adt -package -target ane Volume.ane extension.xml -swc VolumeLib.swc -platform iPhone-ARM -C ios . -platformoptions platformoptions.xml -platform default -C default .Fighting with this issue since last 1 week. Please help me to fix this. Thanks,Pankaj
I need urgent help, I am submitting my app to the AppStore and I get this error. (see pic)I uploaded a version of my app literally 2 days earlier and the only difference between that one and this one is that I missed a mouse event listener on a button. The first one went through fine but this one will not..
I am trying to use ActionScript's File.upload to upload a file on Air SDK for iOS8 environment, but the File.upload does not work properly. No handler about the file upload is executed after File.upload is invoked, and no exception is caught. When I check the network traffic of the server side, I found that no http request even hit the server after File.upload is executed. The code snippet here is very simple.---------------------------------------------------------- private var file:File; private var dir:File; //This method is executed to create a file and upload it when the Upload Button is pressed. protected function OnUploadButtonPressed(event:MouseEvent):void{ var str:String = 'This is test'; var imageBytes:ByteArray = new ByteArray(); for ( var i:int = 0; i < str.length; i++ ) { imageBytes.writeByte( str.charCodeAt(i) ); } try{ dir = File.applicationStorageDirectory var now:Date = new Date(); var fi
Is there any way to change the default frame rate when the app goes in background? The default rate drops to smth like 4fps or even less when the app is in background and I need to change that to a higher number because the app takes forever to switch tracks (this is an audio streaming app). If the app has the focus, the track switching is immediate but when the frame rate drops it takes up to one minute. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Just for fyi, I understand the reasons why the frame rate is lowered. There are good articles out there that explain the reasons and best coding practices to ensure that the app does not waste device battery. In my case, I just need to be able to throttle the frame rate up when switching tracks and then back down. I can 't seem to find a way to do it. Maybe it's not possible...that is why I am reaching out to folks in this forum.
