Air

So I have essentially finished my AIR application and decided to export a release build and see how it performed outside of Flash Builder.  Everything went fine, I created my certificate and exported the app as a signed AIR package, I believe that my descriptor file is fine because the application installs and creates the correct application name and icons for the desktop, and I can open the application.  But the buck stops there.  When I click on buttons that are supposed to create popups, there are no popups.  It will not change states on a button click, and one component completely refuses to initialize.  Really???  It runs perfectly inside of Flash Builder, but does not work on the desktop.  I am using Flex 4.15/AIR 22 as my compiler, and I have AIR 22 installed on my machine, and AIR 22.0 defined in my descriptor file.  Any thoughts???

We're seeing a large number of crashes soon (2-5 seconds) after startup when building our app with AIR SDK v22. It doesn't happen on all devices or Android versions, and it doesn't happen every time, but we're able to reproduce the issue 30-50% of the time when starting the app on a Galaxy S6 test device. Edit: When I put the Galaxy S6 phone in power saving mode and disconnect the USB cable, the issue is reproducible 100% of the time.We've tested with AIR SDK v21 and see the same behavior, but not with v20. Additionally, building the app in "cpu" renderMode (normally we use "direct") seems to improve the issue when NOT in power-saving mode, on v21/22. Unfortunately that mode doesn't perform well enough on lower-spec devices for us to release to all users. We've tried compiling the app in "gpu" renderMode and the issue occurs just as frequently.These "crashes" are not ANRs, there is no popup telling the user the app isn't responding or has died, and they are not reported in the Google P

Hi,So Air 22 was a pretty epic build with things such as echo cancellation on iOS. But, now we're near the end of July with no further update or release I was wondering if the Air dev team could let us know what they're currently working on to be included within Air 23 and an estimated delivery schedule - when do you think we can expect the first release etc?I appreciate Chris has said you're on a fortnightly minor release labs schedule with quarterly major releases? @Adobe .. This one is extremely frustrating. my SharedObject's stop working and throw an error when the users available storage on iOS drops below approx 960 MB.   This is a HUGE problem as most of my games target demographic is kids. Majority of these kids are on 16GB iPad Mini's...  Majority of these kids are fighting for space on them. Most have to delete apps to add apps. This renders my games useless on their devices as they will get the error messages that they need to free up space.. even if they have 900 MB free.Why can't this be fixed? Why has this been ignored for 2 years?

Does AIR 22.x support building apps for iOS 10?The release notes contain reference to Android N support, but no mention of iOS 10.

I'm building a mobile app and trying to instantiate a movieClip from an externally loaded swf.  I able to load the swf from my server using:var context:LoaderContext = new LoaderContext( false, ApplicationDomain.currentDomain); itemLoader.load(new URLRequest(url),context);But unable to get the an asset instantiated from the library.  Here is how I'm tryingt o accomplish this:function itemLoaded(e:Event):void {    var ExampleClass:Class =  e.target.applicationDomain.getDefinition("ExampleAsset");    var newMC:MovieClip = new ExampleClass();}From what I've read from this should work.  Is that correct.. anyone loading asset from external swf?  Is there another way to do this?  A few things to note, on android I'm not having any issues.  It's only on IOS.   There isn't any code in the external swf, just assets on the timeline and 2 assets exported from library.

I am using stagewebview to load local html files in my air applications. When I add and GET parameters to a local files url (ie ?test=test) I get an error stating that the files location does not exist. Loading the same file without the parameters works great. Also loading a external html page with parameters works perfectly.My question: How can I add GET parameters to a url when loading a locally stored HTML file?

Hello everybody.There is an error with the Adobe AIR for Android application which operates on the Android Marshmallow system. When the Android device that is operated on Marshmallow system connects to a Bluetooth player, the image speed gets notably low. Due to its low image speed, there is also an issue with the sound that plays through the Bluetooth player. We have checked air skd from 18 to the latest 22.0.0.153 but unfortunately every version turns out to have problems. For your information, flv(audio bitrate 64kbps) works without a problem with the Bluetooth connection but re-encoding cannot be processed since it serves a large amount of images.We would like you to suggest any possible solution to these problems as soon as possible.Thank you.<sample down>

When dragging an item across multiple UI components that are nested, the drop will be incorrectly rejected if you pass from parent to child and back to parent, but this only happens in AIR.  The same application running in the browser with the flash player plugin works as expected.This appears to be a bug, because the runtime behavior is different between AIR and the browser plugin, running the same application.I have a test case written, have uploaded the source code, and two video recordings showing a) how to reproduce the bug, and b) the correct behavior in the browser plugin version of the Flash player.Adobe Bugbase Id 4170354

Hi,I have a video application written in Flash Professional CS6 running on an android device (NetStream w/ Video Object).  The video is located at the bottom of the display list - there are controls on top of the video.  If I deactivate/leave the application, when I return and the video playback resumes, the video is displayed at the top of the display list.  There is nothing in the code that should modify the display list order - in fact, I've even tried putting the video in an container movieclip so that it is nested.  I've also tried forcing the video to the back of the display list with addChildAt.  The video still is displayed on top.I'm thinking it may be a bug in AIR on android.  I'm wondering if anyone has run into it and found a solution?Thanks!

Trying to update Adobe Air and it will get an error and stop.  Tried to uninstall and that will get an error and stop.  Just says error occurred while uninstalling.  or error occurred while installing.. nothing else.

I am attempting to use Adobe Air with Cinemanow on my MacBook.  Running 10.10.5 and latest version of Adobe Air. Message is that "the required native extension is missing for this application."  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Air as required with the same message appearing when attempting to use Cinemanow.  Please advise.

I wrote a AIR program two different ways, one using a Spark Datagrid and another using the older MX Datagrid. I currently have 40k records displaying in the datagrid and the end user is going to want to sort the data by clicking on the table headers. When I used the older MX version, the sorts happened fairly quickly, I was really surprised. But the Spark version is so incredibly slow, sometimes taking up to a minute to sort the data. I am not doing anything really complicated with item renderers. I have one that just displays a tiny picture icon, and another that formats an integer into money using a currency Formatter. I ended up needing to use the Spark Datagrid for presentation purposes. Any idea why the sorting is happening so slowly, and are you aware of any workarounds to make the sorting on the headers faster? Thanks!

Hello,I'm developing my ANE for osx, tried sdk 19r (i386), 20r and 21r, you know they only support x86_64. No results as expected:- myAneExt.framework is built with success in El Capitan / xcode 7.3.- it's actually a POC to test a single method, quite sureI'm ok with my code (both c/c++ or actionscript)- Max number version in extensiondescriptor name is 20, weird that 21 return an error (invalid namespace), so I have to build .ANE against 19/20- Tried with no luck the workaround as suggested here: http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2015/12/air-64-bit-on-mac-osx.htmlOf course, i'll continue to check it's my issue, but I'm quite sure is not, afaik not much devs are actually applying to osx ane, but they deserve things works.Please, don't let this post without relevant answer.thanx in advanceMarco Fusetti aka Jaco

I'm debugging an AIR for iOS application from Animate CC 2015.2 that uses a BarCode ANE.The app publishes and loads fine when using Control->Test Movie->On device via USB to install on iPhone 6 running iOS9.However when attempting a debug (Debug->Debug Movie->On device via USB) the app launches and then freezes and occasionally I get a message in the console output of 'Unexpected version of the Flash Player'.  I don't get this output every time and I'm in contact with the ANE developer to see if they can help but does anyone know what the 'unexpected version...' warning is about?Animate CC 2015.2AIR 22.0.0.153 for iOSMac OSX 10.11.5
