Animate

I tried out Clip Studio Paint and honestly the vector eraser that deletes partial line segments is amazing and increases my work flow drastically. It makes clean up feel extremely rewarding and fast, however I much prefer Animate CC's animation process and would like to see it intergated into Animate CC. I know it already has an eraser for whole lines and maybe simpler to impliment. I'd love to see it become a part of my favorite animation Software. Thank you!

My issue is a bit complicated, and i couldn't find anyone with a similar problem here:My Project has a lot of nested movieclips. The point is, you're supposed to be able to pick multiple options, which then have their own multiple options. For example, you can pick between the type of furniture, the size, and the color.   The hierarchy of the clips looks like this:   Each timeline has a short script with this.stop(); on a separate layer,In the main script each timeline has a gotoAndStop(); that specifies the "default" frame i want it to start on.It works fine by default, but when i try to select other options, the "default" returns to 0, and the next button i press makes everything play through their timelines once.I'm guessing that pressing the buttons overrides the stop() and gotoandstop(), but i don't know how to prevent that.Does anyone else know what to do?

HiI'm trying to expose my logo using mask and I'm struggling.Can someone help me? how am I supposed to do this?I want the Q to be exposed with mask. thanks. 

when i out two different lines together, it auto connects and i cannot seperate them using ungroup. anyone know why??

Hello,  am having issues with Adobe Animate since last update, I cannot open an existing .fla file i have created yest on the app. the app is actually open, i can create new file, or choose to open the recent ones, (i need to keep on working on the recent files) so i open the file but nothing happen as if the laptop was struggling opening it... if any of you can help it would be great...thank you   

I want to make an array of all the boxes on screen but it's also counting the mouse trails. This is the code I'm using which I don't understand in depth because I'm not an expirienced coder. Hi, I swear if Fireworks were still around I'd already be done. I'm not a programmer, little experience with Animate, not even sure if this is the right application. I want to have eleven buttons, names of men killed in WWI on a plaque in my church, and when the user clicks on the button, the man's photo is displayed.  I can get Animate to briefly display the photo but not hold the photo until the next button click. Or the photo is stuck and won't go away. I'm really frustrated. I need to get this done for the upcoming anniversary of the plaque installation...any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

In animation characters says things. How do you learn what characters says? What is that? I have searched after creative writing books. That books i saw doesn,t learn you that. I have created characters in Adobe Animate. I need to learn what characters says.

For someone used to the pre CC versions of Flash where you could make your own .mxp files to share using Extension Manger, the way to do the same in Animate CC2020 is not as clear. It's .zxps now, sure, so is the Adobe Exchnage program the only way in which to package and distribute .zxps? If so, is it possible to distribute privately rather than for sale or free public access as an individual Adobe Creative Cloud account subscriber?

I have a jsfl command that I run a lot of times and it clogs up the history panel. Is it possible to make the command not displayed in the history panel or grouped into one (the same way moveSelectionBy works)

so, when I try exporting my file in h.264 format (mp4) I get an error message when I start the cue, i get this message: adobe media encoder failed to encode with the following exception: App.getscriptenginename is not a functionplease help I need to export a video with a transparent background so I can't just screen record it anymore

Hello,Export Movie has an export bug where all png exports are off by -1px or +1px in either the width or the height, sometimes both. but never the dimensions it's set to with a bounding box in Animate. I export everything with pre-set bounding boxes (ex: 600px x 800px) on a much larger canvas (ex: 3000x3000) with a 0.1px stroke at 10% opacity for each bounding box to preserve the aspect ratio for sprite development. I then remove the transparent pixels in photoshop with a batch trim. After doing this they are always off by 1px in W or H. So the size I choose in Animate CC does not match the export it spits out after removing the transparency. It is not a photoshop bug, it is an animate one.My guess is that it has something to do with the animate's conversion from pixel decimals and how it rasterizes the vectors of strokes. I am a very inexpirenced coder using Actionscript 3.0 in keyframe. What is a way to make it so the code below repeats until I unclick? 

my friend uses the brush with the smoothing setting all the way down, because it doesnt make animate edit his lines after he's drawn them. however, when i do it with the same settings adobe makes my lines extremely wobbly, even though my strokes are as smooth as his. this wobbliness gets worse the more zoomed out i am, like its just guessing where my cursor was. ive already tried restarting my computer and driver and all that, so i have no idea how to fix it. 

I set custom keyboard shorctuts to "W" + "E" (W=move frame forward, E=eraser). However sometimes they don't work and 50% of the time the shorcuts bring up either the "Window" (when I press W) or "Edit" (when I press E) menu.  I've searched and searched but can't seem to find a solution.   Im on a Windows 10 machine with a Cintiq 24"  

I have Adobe Animate 23.0.1 and trying to export Video/Media with encoder. I get an error when exporting The rquirede version is not installed or damaged. I have encoder installed??? I remove it, install and try again... I get the same issue..

Whenever I draw lines or place symbols they appear so pixeliated. This just started happening in my newer projects so I must have done something but I don't know what. Hello everyone. I've updated Animate this morning as Creative Cloud suggested and there must be a bug...I cannot publish my HTML files in the folder I chose nor with the name I gave. After publish the files are appearing to other folders and with the name of the FLA file.I'm no noob with computers so I tried restarting my PC and programs all over, filing system and filing names. Nothing. Please shed some light here so I can do my work properly.Thank you in advance.

So I've been having this issue since at least 1998. I'm astounded that Adobe's been able to let unfixed design flaws and bugs drag on for so long, and try to cash in on old software by just slapping a new name on it. Animate is one of them, and I have quite a list of unfixed problems it still has after 20 years. I think the devs are afraid to touch the code, and the higher ups just don't care, unsurprisingly, hence the cash grab. Correct me if I don't understand this one correctly, but say you have a fill that was selected on a layer. You lock the layer, select a different color, and then unlock the layer. Is it supposed to automatically fill that layer with the currently selected color?  This is a really destructive flaw that makes me lose work and waste time, as this can sometimes occur without realizing. Unlocking a layer shouldn't assume it should be filled, even if it was previously selected before it was locked.  Please see attached video for demonstratio

I am working on an animation, and I want to show work in progresses of the sections I have animated. However, the only way to export video/media with audio is by clicking "Entire movie" instead of being able to select the frames I want in "Scene". The movie exports with the specified frames, but the audio is not present. My audio sync is currently set to stream, so it should by all means be functional, but the clip keeps downloading as silent. This method has worked for me in the past, so I don't understand why it's doing this now. I have restarted my computer and by extension, the program. I cna't think of how else to fix this.

"The import did not finish because an unknown error occurred" shows up when I import my photshop files text to a vector outline in Animate cc. I've worked with psd files in animate for years and now it causeing me to have this error if there is any text in my file.

doesnt load the 1st scene and only 2nd scene exists,ive tried the zip strategy but that also doesnt work,is there any way to fix it or is it completely lost.

Hi!Still cant figure out how to add fonts to adobe animate.So far i understand: click on the text tool, and go to the properties menu.. but then what ??Here are the options i have:I will add that the global symbol is greyed out always, not sure why because i have a wifi connection..  

Я переустановил Виндоус (10). Когда попробовал запустить уже установленное тогда приложения Adobe Animate, мне написало что-то типо: некоторые файлы были утерены, переустановите приложение для корректной работы. Так вот, как и сколько бы раз я не переустанавливал Animate так и не запустился. Смотрю по диспетчеру задач, он начинает загружаться, но в какой-то момент резко прекращает. Сам компьютер при анализе пишет несовместимоть, но он же до этого работал, да и сам сервис (Creative Cloud) пишет, что работает нормально, по крайней мере должно.Пробовал разные версии, везде одинаково. Читал в сообществе, рекомендуют полностью удалить все сервисы Adobe и установить заново. Пробовал, не помогло. Не знаю уже, что делать, поэтому пишу. Может кто-то подскажет.
