Animate

Hey everyone! I'm looking at improving some email design and currently for the header banner we are importing GIFs to add a bit of movement to our emails. It seems to help with open rate but i think sometimes GIFs obviously look grainy. I'd like to explore embedding HTML banners so that it's a coded 'graphic element' as opposed to an image file. Can I create an animated banner in Animate and export out for embedding into an email CRM like hubspot? If so, how would I go about that? 🙂  Any ideas/help is appreciated.

I am coming across bugs. I am not able to identify what is happening. I will have some basic script written that is working well. I add some code for a new vaariable to a dynamic text field or transforming a movie clip. It may have a script error and after correcting the script error - it still doesn't work. Like maybe ghost characters or something. The corrected script doesn't have errors, but it will not work anymore.

I have a question about Animate to see if it will work for me.I am looking for software to create an animation with extremely slow transitions that will run for an extremely long time. First, I want to know if I can set a long time between transitions (like months) and how long I can drag out a transition between frames. My goal is to make a relatively simple animation take 100 plus years to complete as something occurs in near real time. Is this possible with animate?  Second, is this possible without making a stupidly humongous file?  (Hence the desire to set a long time between transitions)I apologize if my terminology is wrong for Animate, I've not used it before.  Thanks!Sol

when opening a fla on windows when it was orginally made on a mac produces a weird issue where it enlarges the bounding box thus giving the text a different center point- is has been happening for years and I can't figure it out.

I am back working in Flash/Animate after several years to develop e-learning content for online courses. I have not worked in Canvas Mode until now and was failrly comfortable working in AS3. In working in Canvas mode I am having trouble with MovieClips and variables. I am having trouble communicating from MovieClip to MovieClip. I am also trying to set variables and text fields and having trouble setting a text field from a variable. For example, two Movie clips on the main timeline. One Movie Clip has a text field and the other has a button. Press the button in the second Movie Clip sets the text field in the first Movie Clip form a global variable set on the maine timeline. Anyone have easy answers? Or better yet are their any good new resources for learning scripting in Animate Canvas mode. I realize its JS, but it also has unique IDE. Any good lessons, tutorials for targeting Movie Clips. and passing variables would be great.

Hello,I am new to Animate, but I have worked regularly with the older Flash-Versions. I am missing the "Test"-Function, where I can also see what I was tracing in my scripts via "trace("whatever")". However, I am only able to test my movieclip in the browser, all other options are grey.Maybe someone can help...

I am not what you would consider an app developer, but a few years back using Adobe Animate a lot of YouTube tutorials, google searches and this community I managed to develop an iOS based on the UK driving test. To date I have reached over 12000 downloads 99% from the UK market and featured in the 'Learn to drive the easy way" story on the app store.  Small change I know! but for a one man band with no experience or advertising I’m happy.I have recently wanted to update the app and publish a second to support the first one. I am really struggling to get anywhere when publishing. Is it even possible to do anymore? I’m feeling very overwhelmed and any advise would be appreciated. (Even if the advise is for me to give up haha)I have downloaded the new Harman Air SDK but my Mac wont even let me debug on desktop“adl” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software 

Hey All,In the latest update, the "Paint Fills Only" mode is not working correctly.The first stroke is fine, but then my the application freezes while it thinks about it. It unfreezes several seconds later, but as you might guess, this pretty much prevents me from using this mode. Anyone else aware/experiencing this issue?

Seth here, again. Since I couldn't get the puppet rig tool to function properly without error, I switched to the parenting layers function. This worked like a charm for a bit, but I have to save every time i get ready to start connecting the layers because every other time it causes the program to crash. What's causing this? Is it a common thing?

So basically i imported a .fla file to Ae and the quality just suck, its all pixelated, i know there's this resolution view, i put both on Full (on stage and the preview panel)it's still pixelatedHow can i improve the file quality?Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, newbie question: I have a scipt that imports a movieclip from the library. That movieclip contains a button, and when I press that button I need it to remove the movieclip that contains it. Any idea what code can achieve that? Many thanks in advance!

Hello everyone. I have a question to ask. I imported an MP4 video to embed in timeline and can't export - publish it. I already know I can't. I know what kinds of video format does Animate supports, and one of them FLV video format. But my question is, does Adobe have any application to convert MP4 videos to FLV? Adobe has many applications and all are unbelievable and have many kinds of nice features. However, I can't install all them on my device because I have less disk space, so I had to ask here. Please assist me.

Hello, I'm trying to open a .swf file in adobe animate to convert it to HTML5. But i can't open it in animate can anyone help me? I do it via .swf because my whole project was deleted due to a virus  I also want to add that I tried to decompile the .swf file into .fla but adobe animate starts to hang and stands at "No Response". When I try and find/replace code in the Global script, Animate finds the code fine but instead of replacing it, it adds the new code to the whatever keyframe I have selected or am closest to and leaves the original code as is. This is also an issue trying to find/replace code in general. On the timeline, the code IS replaced where it is found, but the replacement code is also added to whatever keyframe you have selected or are nearest to. What is going on here?Using Animate version 22.0 for Mac

WHenever I press undo in adobe animate, it freezes for awhile, how do i fix this?

Hello, I was working on an adobe flash game and decided to transfer it to adobe animate. Now I can't open it as the animate is crashing. Could someone check if it can be opened at all or maybe my computer is too weak for it (Open .fla file) Download The Project 

Hi ive been using adobe animate and media encoder for about a year now when all of a sudden I cant export any animation to media encoder. I've tried with 2 very different animations and both had the same error export as video/media the swf bar loads media encoder pops up then a error appear in adobe animate saying to check media encoder for details I will send both here. Please help me I desperately need to start some Christmas animations and I really need to export them. Thank you and let me know if you need more info. 

So I finally was able to make a Armature, the only issue im having is I need to draw a mouth on and kinda change up my character (My character is smoking a cigarette) Is there anyway I can change my character?

Hi, I have learned a bit of code using p5.js. I would like to include some of my scripts written in p5.js in  Adobe Animate html5 projects. I have added p5.js using the include. And I can copy and paste a script into animate and run it it but it only works if I create a separate canvas, obviously I need to draw to the Animate canvas instead.Any advice would be appreciated. I don't know why this happening. I was the keyframes are blank, but aren't. There are things in them. I can draw new things in them, but I can't do anything with them after. Idk how to make them not blank. I deleting them and redoing that bit. Didn't work. How do I fix this?I posted a video of the problem on reddit. I haven't gotten a reponse yet.
