Cannot open swf file in Animate. Is there a workaround? 

I recently came across html5 custom components which is really awesome and it helped me a lot. The thing is we have to put the custom component folder at this path - Users⁩ ▸ ⁨username ▸ ⁨Library⁩ ▸ ⁨Application Support⁩ ▸ ⁨Adobe⁩ ▸ ⁨Animate 2021⁩ ▸ ⁨en_US⁩ ▸ ⁨Configuration ▸ HTML5Components so i have created my own custom component and right now i want to distribute the custom component that i created to other folks in a way where they dont have to copy the folder into this path. So if theres a way where i can do this like create an exe/dmg or an extension that could be installed within animate itself.currently i am following the steps to distribute components here at this link - https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/user-guide.html/animate/using/custom-html5-component-development.ug.html (at the end of the page) following those steps i was able to create a zxp file i dont know if i need this zxp to distribute the custom component to others. and i dont know how to g

Whenever I try to use the Asset Warp Tool on a still image, some sections of the image turn black whenever I move the pins around. I've gone through different attempts to fix this issue, such as:1. Smoothing the Artwork2. Changing the Size of the Art3. Changing Pin Locations but I haven't been able to find a solid answer. I would really appreciate the help in trying to find out how to get this under control.Thank you!

I just got the new MacBook Pro with touch bar, how do I customise the Touch Bar within Adobe Animate? I would mainly like to have the F Keys I use most commonly and perhaps other shortcuts on my Touch Bar. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

hi. I am trying to animate to audio in adobe animate , I'm using action script, but I can't find the stream setting.

I'm building a puppet in Animate 2019, and today I was doing some test animation with it when I had to stop because of this problem. I was trying to tween the character's arm to raise above his head. I made two keyframes, made sure none of the pivot points were changed between the two (because I know sometimes that can also cause trouble), and set all 3 symbols to Classic Tween. However, the hand, upper arm and lower arm are all moving at different paces even though they are all set to Classic Tween. Does this mean something else is wrong with the puppet that's causing it to do this? I sent the file to my professor and he got the same issue so we know my Mac isn't what's causing the problem, otherwise it would've worked when he tried it from his own computer. Could it mean the master puppet got corrupted somehow?

Hi! I'm writing because for a few days now, I notice that the strokes of the line drawing tools shift slightly after drawing them. They change their position slightly , and it happens to me both with the mouse and with the tablet, so I don't think it's a question of the drivers. I've tried changing the device scaling, but it still doesn't work. If anyone can help me that would be nice, it is very frustrating to animate like this.Thanks and best regards!Javi

The rest of my computer works fine but it takes for ever to load. I need to delete anchor points on a line and it takes more than a minute to get rid of one line. Please tell me how to speed up Adobe animate. 

I can see a huge benefit to motion tweening since you can see the path and adjust more specifically, but I don't understand why easing is so difficult.  I've been following the hands-on tutorials, and a lot of them use classic tweening, which allows for an easier way to create an ease directly in the properties window. Why doesn't Motion tweening do the same?   I'm going to attempt to teach this to grade 7 students, but I'm not sure which method I should suggest to them to use (motion or classic). Trying to get them to do both for certain objects will create confusion.  I need to keep it super simple. Suggestions? Thanks!

Don't know about you but I'm finding that the new place for snap to objects magent is really fussy. It's now hidden in the Doc tab of the properties panel. That's two clicks where it used to be one. I see it as more of an essential drawing aid so having it at the bottom of the toolbar (where it's been for the last 25 years...) was ideal. Sure, you can use the keyboard shortcut but this is something you might need to turn on and off multiple times whilst drawing an object so it's frustrating. I don't really like the dumbed down, desolate parking lot approach of the menus in general and spent the first 30 minutes just putting tools back into the toolbar and adjusting the timeline from the default Andre the Giant proportions.Like - yes I realise it 'looks' neater to have the direct selection as a flyout from the selection tool but in reality it takes much longer to access it and really saves virtually no screen space. Hi all, I've have created an app through Animate and then connected that to a PHPMYADMIN database. In the database you have stored data in the hindi script and that script is not showing correct in the app. In the fla file, I've used a dynamic text box, not embedded. The code in the Main.as file will call the text from PHPMYadmin database, where the text is UTF-8 encoded.  Kindly advise.ThanksAris

I like using custom brushes, sometimes they are quite intricate. I often use the width tool to animate strokes this way. Since the last update all te strokeBefore update: After: I'll need to redo them all as I need a new version of my animation.Any thouhgts on this are welcome... 

olá tudo bem? no site onde mostra os requisitos pra rodar o adobe animate e lá só fala d processadores da intel. E o meu futuro pc vai ter um processador da amd e eu queria saber s o adobe animate funciona apenas em pcs com processadores intel  

This is a problem that I never ran into in previous versions of Animate.  I hope someone has some insight!Half of the time I'm editing line segments (created with the pencil tool) Animate adds a corner point and just pulls out the point with a really tight arc.  Image below shows what I mean. Another way of explaining it is that even when I have a line segment that is simple and has been smoothed and which I KNOW has only two or three points - when I go to move it a little bit, Animate treats the line like it has a HUNDRED points right next to each other.  I made a short video of the problem with me explaining it here:https://vimeo.com/557483723/1e79b4329bI hope someone has someone can help me!  

Please consider adding the long overdue option to hide the application frame on Mac.

I'm creating a little game where the user moves their mouse to reveal a scene inside a building - they need to find an object. To do this, I'm creating a group of animated objects that comprise the contents of the house, and masking them with a circle. When the user moves their mouse, they 'reveal' the contents of the house. The problem I am having is that I can't find a way to make the mask 'stick' to the mouse cursor. All the tutorials I find are either unsuited to the problem or aimed at edge animate or flash.Can anyone help to solve the problem? I have a feeling it's really simple and I'm not seeing the solutionThanks!

I need to know how to click a button so that an iframe of scrolling text appears in HTML canvas. If not an iframe I've been reading something about a floating div but I am a complete beginner In Google web designer that's a simple iframe. Not sure if Adobe Animate has something similar. Thanks.

So for the past few days ive been working on an animation, a lot of work, and i really dont want to lose this file, but it just wont open. I tried saving it as a .rar on WinRAR then saving it as a .fla and opening it again, but it isnt working, and the RECOVER file is having the same issues. My other files are completely fine, and open like normal. I really dont want to lose all my work, what can I do to recover the file? 

I created a character build for an animation project using lines and added tapers to many of them. Looks as it should on the PC i created it with but when i opened the same file on a Mac all the tapers are gone and only regular lines are there. Anyone have this issue or know of an easy fix?Fills are not suitable for this project. All operating systems and software are the most current versions.I have many years working in this software but am newish to Mac. 

Opened all of my projects on the latest version of animate to discover that every line with a variable width turned to regular-round shaped caps. Not only that, but if I duplicate / copy+paste a group (after reshaping it to variable width), the duplicated element ignores the variable width and turns the forms again to regular shape.Happened in different computers of my animation team. This needs a fix ASAP.

After the download of the security update 21.0.6, all variable line widths created with the line tool (N) or Pencil tool seem to be reset. So lines that I previously edited with the width tool (shortcut U) have become basic lines instead of brush-like lines / strokes. I don't know if this only applies to shape tweens. It makes my projects completely useless. I had great relief when I downgraded and saw that the projects had been restored. If I had to manually adjust all of this it would take me weeks. The information about the update is talking about an update for graphics support. I can tell you that this is not the desired effect and I hope that a solution will be found soon. Furthermore, I wonder if others have also encountered this problem. In any case, this is an upgrade that I am not going to make.

Hey, so I have a problem where my custom stroke widths are not being saved / loaded correctly. any lines that I have effected the line weights on have seemingly dissapeared even when I load from older versions of the file where the line width were not broken before.tried finding someone else with this problem but I couldn't. Any ideas?

Good Morning. I'm trying to make a loading bar, for a sound in the cloud or mp3, with a text that indicates the amount of kb loaded. two things happen to me:- the bar remains blank but does not advance ... remains blank while loading- the total kb does not come out, it comes out "0"Thank you very much for the time and help.
