Using Adobe Animate in my H.S. class.They use the script assist for writing code early in the course and then they eventually learn the scripts.  With Animate, the WIZARD does not appear.  We used to change to ActionScript 2.0.How do I get the wizard to appear?

Hello, I am coding a game with an inventory and I am using addChild to move the item clicked on into the inventory.  This works fine, however when I move forward on the time line and then return to the same frame, the item remains where it was in addition to being in the inventory.  My understanding is that the addChild automatically removes the child from the stage when it puts it into another MC, however this is not what's happening.  I've tried removeChild however as the child has initially been removed, it throws up an error message.  Here's code for the function triggered by the eventListener: function toInventory(event:MouseEvent):void {inventory_mc.addChild(desertflower_mc);trace("Flower goes to Inventory");desertflower_mc.x = 400;desertflower_mc.y = 290;desertflower_mc.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, toInventory); How can I ensure that once the item is in the inventory, when I return to the frame where it was before it will no longer be

Hello everyone, I am in the process of getting my shortcuts right, as I was used to in the Flash era. I used to have a workflow where I could adjust objects (symbols, fills, lines, etc) on the canvas step by step.This was in terms of rotating, scaling and adjusting the alpha channel (-1%, -10%, + 1%, + 10%). With the alpha channel this was of course only possible if the object was a symbol.The problem lies with the alpha channel. If I record my history while editing the alpha, the correct JSFL code will not come out and it will be useless. With previous versions I had succeeded, however, not step by step. So then the command adjusted the symbol hard to 90% (instead of -10% per step). It would really benefit my workflow if this were possible. Ideally one would like the commands:- adjust alpha of symbol by -1% per step, shortcut: Ctrl-Alt- [- adjust alpha of symbol by -10% per step, Shift-Ctrl-Alt- [- adjust alpha of symbol by + 1% per step, Ctrl-Alt-]- adjust alpha o

Hi, I still don't understand why it is so hard to pick a brush from the Brushes library with the brushtool, fluidbrushtool or Pencil. The only available tool for brushes is the Linetool.Can someone explain to me how this works?(Adobe animate 21.04 MacOS cCatalina)thanks! nils

Lets say I want to use a free trial of Animate CC. Once I sign in, or it automatically signs in, to an account, it shows a white screen. Hi everyone, I want to make Animation of open/ close a box, transform a shape into a cube. Can I do it using HTML5 Canvas in Animate? Below is image sample on internet, I want to transform the shape of right image, into a cube/ shape on top-left. It's may look like 3D but this is entirely 2D transform so I think Animate can do it, just don't know how.

When I convert to a symbol, it changes the shape. What to do?

I am new to Animate and I have tried looking to see anyone else has had this issue but couldn't find anything... I have a button that works as expected throughout my animation and the hover state works until a frame that I've added this:this.stop();I need to use this.stop(); to stop the animation until/unless a user clicks on a second button, at which point it runs a brief animation that slides an info panel in. I noticed that the button hover state stops working after this.stop(); runs... Would this.stop(); prevent button hover states from working? Is there any way to keep the button hover state from breaking/stopping? Thanks!

Hello,I'm fairly new to Animate so sorry if this is an onbious mistake.I have a nested graphic symbol which is a small animation, placed on a scene timeline. The animation plays on scrub, but not when published. Can anyone help me with this issue? I have other animated elements which are tweened on the main timeline, they work with both scrub and publish.Thanks in advance 🙂

I've recently installed animate cc and have been trying to learn the program, but whenever I try to draw a curved line, it creates a straight line at the beginning of the stroke. I use a wacom intuos small tablet on windows 10. I have already tried updating windows and updating the wacom drivers to the most recent update as well as uninstalling and reinstalling Animate CC.

I have not been able to preview my project and I have started over for the 4th time. This time, I did not save and just kept working on the unsaved, untitled project and I published for every single change I made. Everything worked perfectly. When I decided to hit Save As, I just got a blank preview again. How can I fix this?

I turned the Advanced Layers Off and I checked, rewrote and tested my code and checked the buttons and checked the scene names, but everything was correct. Hello! Would anyone know how to view the transparency grid while working inside Adobe Animate? the background is white by default, but I want to be able to see the transparency grid instead. Thanks for the help!

Hello. I have problems with this code to make it responsive: what I want is for a mc (back_mc) that is below the stage to stay below the stage, always at the same distance from the bottom of the stage, measure what the along the stage. This is the code I have used: controladores_mc.back_mc.y = stage.stageHeight-70; Curiously, it works well when I debug it on the computer, but the mc is not visible on the mobile ... it is very strange. I appreciate the help.

I'm new to Adobe Animate CC. So I was creating an HTML5 banner in Adobe Animate CC and ran into a problem with using dynamic text. I chose a Google font Lato, but when I try to run it in Safari, it became like a generic serif font. I tried to research what might caused it, but can't find any useful fix. Can someone help with the issue? Thank you.

Hello there, I have a problem starting my animation. I always did my animations using the drawing tools built in Animate, but for once, I wanted to draw my assets in Photoshop to get a certain look with its brushes and then export all the different bits in transparent PNGs in order to animate them in Animate afterwards. I was planning to animate the head of my character but once I import all the PNGs (36 layers in total), Animate does not show all of them, so I can't really even start animating.I double-checked just in case I accidentally exported some JPEGs instead, but it seems I saved all of them them properly in PNG. Could it be that maybe the files are too big?Maybe Animate has a limited amount of PNGs to show?I've also tried to convert them into symbols, but that doesn't fix it. Still can't see all the layers... I'll try to upload some images here and see what happens (it's the first time I post here) Thank you so much in advance!

Hi guys. I'm a recent animation graduate and I'm currently polishing up some old school projects for my portfolio. I will admit we worked in a majority Harmony only having one semester dedicated to Adobe Animate. Still, I recognize that a lot of studios continue to use the program and wanted at least a few samples on my website. However, while I was able to pick up most things from memory I've been struggling to access the character library for my current build, Space Teddy. While looking up tutorials all of them seem to be for previous versions of flash so they haven't been much help. Can anyone help me out here? I really need to fix the lip-sync and make a few new assets for smoother animation.   

This is the 21.0.6 variant and I'm trying to look everywhere in Animate to try and export it with an audio that doesn't sound choppy like the last few posts I've seen before. Now that I check publish settings, I don't see the sound settings anymore. Where can I find it now in this version instead? Do I need to download premiere pro now because of it? I'm only using one audio layer (via music.) That's all that I have: one layer of music.

I have an urgent question to which I have no plausible solution. For this I have attached the corresponding Animate file. It is an interactive infographic.If you click on PART 1, a new movieclip opens on frame 5 in the current timeline. This movieclip has a new timeline and contains 2 movieclips on frame 5 and frame 10. They are accessed by clicking on the info icons. To close this State click on "X" and return to the start screen. This solution works for PART 1. But if I do the same process on PART 2, it works correctly at first. Press "+" icon, open overlay with "info icon" and then close it again with "x". But if I want to repeat this process afterwards and click "PART2" again, the overlay appears immediately, although I inserted the command this.stop(); in the first frame. Does anyone have a solution for this problem? Did i do something wrong in the code? Thank you very much!
