Animate

Back when I was newer at Adobe Animate, I had thought that RECOVER files were just more up to date versions of regular files or that I couldn't work on the regular file once I had a RECOVER file created. I had done around four minutes of animation in a RECOVER file. Today, I opened the original file, thinking it had been completed, but noticed a lot of things missing. I realized that I had only ever edited the RECOVER file after a certain point. Then I went to the RECOVER file but realized that the work I recently did on the original file had saved over top of the lot of work I did on the RECOVER file. How do I fix this? The History tab is empty, the Previous Versions (since I use Windows) is also empty. Nothing else has worked. Please help me.

Hi all, i'm having an isue with the brush tool. I'm trying to draw but when every i use the brush tool the only thing that is shown is an outline the same colour as the layer(in the timeline) there isn't any fill and the brush setting are set ti classic brush & paint normal.... i don't have any idea how to fix it

Hi everyone, I am trying to export a gif from Adobe animate which I have done several times before and it has never given me an issue, strangely enough all of a sudden when it is exported it just gives me a plain image that doesnt move. All of my animation is on the main timeline and are set to "graphic" for symbol. I have no idea what is going on and I've even opened files I have successfully exported as gifs in the past and they are not working now. Any idea what could be happening? I've even restarted my computer and it is still doing this.  here is a screenshot of the export screen  and the side     If it wasn't for needing it to be a transparent BG I would just export as a video but I have no idea why this happened so randomly :,) Any help would be appreciated. Hey team, I've attached a video to show whats happening. The white dots only appear sometimes, I've making some very simple HTML5 ads and in the exact same process each time, some appear in the timeline and publish just fine and then sometimes they are plauged by these white dots all over the image. Is there something I'm missing here?  Thank you in advance! All The Best 🙂

Hello, I was hoping to have some hotkey / mouse wheel control of the timeline zoom / size, such as Alt + Mousewheel. From what I can tell there is no native functionality for this apart from the slider above the timeline. Please tell me there is another way to resize the timeline! Thanks 🙂

Hi! I'm fairly new to using symbols/adobe's puppeting/rigging system.I know in order to parent items they have to be symbols (as far as I am aware) but I've noticed anytime I try to clear keyframes Animate crashes.Also, if I try to transform the symbols all together using the shift key to select multiple layers to do so.. the symbols for some reason delete themselves completely. Also. if this info is needed: The symbols are all imported PNG drawings used for my puppet.P.S. I tried uninstalling adobe etc and rebooting but no luck.

How to get rid of a white frame/s that appears at the begining of embeded video after Export Video/Media.Embeded video starts with the white frame as if it has contained one in the file... but there is no white frame inside the imported video file for sure. The imported video contains only frames showcasing the scene,Moreover whole project that contains this video starts form the very begining without any skips or lags. Vector animations start seamlesly from the begining of the timeline but not the video,To make it clear, the the problematic embeded video should start sharp from the very beginning of the project-animation,In relation to that, what I need is to get know, how to solve it without any animation tricks like masking, moving, alpha modifications,I'd be greatful receiving help, explaination what may cause this issue and how to solve it,cheers!

Can you export graphics in the Animate Library to a folder?  We are trying to rebuild old .swf into something HTML5 compliant.  I opened the original .fla and was the .png that made up the .fla.  It would be great if I could export them to a folder to build the new animations.I'm entirely new to Animate.Take care,Susan

I already try using createjs.Sound.stop("sound1") ; in frame 2But it also stop my background music.  I already give correct linkage name for sound1 but it still not working.  Is there any solution or other way to stop specific sound in html5 canvas? 

The above issue *only* happens with the Brush Tool and the Fluid Brush Tool.The issue:The strokes keep disappearing every single time, on every brush mode. If I am creating an enclosed shape, such as a free-hand drawn circle, it automatically fills in the circle, while the stroke itself again disappears.Now this issue is VERY PICKY. It randomly chooses 1 symbol to start misbehaving in, while it works completely normal in other symbols within the SAME file.I have tried:> Re-checking and tweaking my brush settings.> Closing and opening my file/animate.Please help me find a fix for this! It's really hindering my work now...

I am new to adobe animate but i have a project due this week! please help.I am just starting a project and it barely has anything happening and it will shut down and close out. No errors are found when this happens. I am using mostly just the pencil tool . I have updated my computer, reset the settings, i have uninstalled and reinstalled animate several times with shutting down the computer. I have done all recommended fixes i could find but i still have the issue. Any advice?  

ola estou no adobe animate fazendo uma animação de partituraimportei o trecho da partitura para o stage....e depois fiz uma linhaque acompanha o desenvolvimento da partitura com som sincronizadofaço um tween classic para a linha se mover da esquerda para direitae vou para o frame mais adiante...tenho selecionar a linha para deslocarno final do tween....mas nao seleciona a linha.......o que está acontecendo ?alguem pode me ajudar envio anexo um video screen da situação abs a todosleo  

When I test the project the buttons work just fine but when I try to export, the buttons become unresponsive. I think that it may have to do with my publish settings but I'm not sure. Plz help me

i find that there is no brush that makes it possible to make a rough scetch before drawing over it with clean lines. the classic brush is potentially good for cleaning it up but i dont find any brush fitting for my needs. Also there is no brush that adapts to pressure sentitivity, which in general is super important when doing rough scetches. This makes it impossible for me to draw characters(and other stuff) in animate. Thanks for helping out:)

Say I'm generating audio dynamically, how would I pass the audio into the exported code to lip sync the generated audio (TTS) in an HTML5/JS context. Is it possible to do some sort ofmovieClip.gotoAndPlay(audioFile) How would it be possible to achieve this?

hello dear community, i really need help, i tried to find the solution here, but nothing so far. i just finished work on an animation project in animate, for the day. My computer was showing that i am running out of memory, so i decided to save sae the file to get out of the app, and solve the memory issues. however, animate showed me a message that it cant be saved so i saved it on an external drive. Auto recovery was also on all the time. however, the file on the external drive doesnt want to open ("an error occured when trying to open the file"), and I cant find any recover files on the computer. I have worked on this file for the last 7 days, so i cant understand how i cant find the recovery files either. When i go to open recent in animate- it tells me that the file doesnt exist. In the library-application support-adobe I only have "animate HLAN 2023" which contains an .xml and nothing else. anyone has a clue what this could be??? thank you so much!!!

I'm facing a really irritiating problem here. I've finally learned the techniques necessary to create animations of a style I had in mind for a project I'm working on. I thought Adobe Animate would be suitable. But unfortunately, I'm not even half-way through one of the animations (I've animated 4 scenes, in total approx 2 min) and its crashing every time I try to preview or export it. It is complicated, with many symbols and layers... But it's organised and it's as complicated as it needs to be. It's not 'messy'. There are motion tweens, symbols comprising of 'puppets' with nested groups; I haven't even added sound yet... But that level of complexity is what I need. Is Adobe Animate the wrong programme to use? Have I wasted my time and money? Is there a way around this irritiating block? Many thanks 

The Issue is the audio for a project of mine is out of synch but in a way where its been stretched and cannot just be readjusted. I can fix it but it adds loud crackles to the audio and I am unsure how to fix it in adobe / media encoder so I can actually edit it and remaking it is not an option as the current project has already taken way too long to make to begin with So is there a way to get rid of this audio crackle or have the audio be in synch in the first place?

Hey everyone!  I am just now learning apparently there is a way to add automated lip sync in Adobe Animate CC (Amazing!) This could save me so much time. I was playing around with it and it is okay at first, but I was wondering if there was a way to add a transcript to the audio to possibly get better automated results? I know in Character Animator there is a way, but was wondering if there was a way in Adobe Animate as well? Thanks for all of your help! Amanda 

(New to Adobe Animate) So I wanted to experiment with the auto lip sync feature and pair it up with my charachters head swaying. I tried to do this with layer parenting but it dosen't work since the keyframes are all mixed up and such. I've sort of just been learning with on and off tutorials and doing my best to figure things out myself.  If you have an answer it'd be helpful if it were sort of like a step by step format becuase I have the brain capacity of a goldfish, Thank you so much!

My daughter received Animate CC for Christmas and she is very frustrated because she creates a piece of work and then the program will shut down unexpectedly. It happens every time she uses it. Any ideas?
