I just recorded a podcast session today and I'm now trying to listen back to the audio but there is no audio on my laptop's speaker and my headphones. I've already gone through the regular routine of making sure the audio hardware and audio channel mapping are on the correct settings and still no sound is playing back. I've checked the levels panel and there is no feedback given on there either but on each of our tracks their levels are shown to be activated. I'm very confused, this has never happened before
I have looked at the other posts regarding this issue and am still not able to solve low volume levels without adjusting the Loudness meter every time I record or turn the gain up on my PreSonus to 9 where ambiant noise is filtering in. I am a VO actor and am using a Shure SM7B mic with a Cloudlifter. My interface is PreSonus audiobox USB 96. Thankyou for your assistance.Best,Susan
Hey Guys, I need some help. I have a midi sounding trumpet from a client and I would like to make it sound more realistic. (Sample is attached) The trumpet is not isolated. There are some drum and other instruments as well in the file. I hope some of you have experience with this. My experiene with cleaning and mixing of human voices has no much use in this. Best, ittvangergo
Hello, When I transfer a sequence from Premiere to Audition, the audio is much louder, like 4db louder. I have seen one other post about this, but it did not answer my question or solve this problem: https://community.adobe.com/t5/audition-discussions/my-mix-sounds-much-louder-in-audition-than-in-premiere/td-p/9353205 To keep it simple, I have created a sequence with only my dialogue track, have clicked "edit in Adobe Audition" then selected "sequence." I send the entire sequence via dynamic link, I transfer the clip and track effects, I select "pan and volume information," then I send it to audition, and the dialogue is much louder when played in the multitrack sequence, as well as when I play a clip in Waveform mode. The audio clips in Premiere, Audition and the multitrack sequence are all 48000 Hz. The clips in Premiere and Audition are Mono, and if I select Default Mono Input in the multitrack layer these dialogue clips are in, as apposed to Default
I believe this is my first post but have been using Adobe Audition for a podcast for about 7 years. We're launching internet radio and am having trouble with the length of the audio being different in different applications. We always use CBR, since it's audio only but am at a loss what to do. He thought we could be saving the files at some point as VBR files but I couldn't confirm that. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on how I should troubleshoot this? Thanks for your input!
A small audio clip has been uploaded in WAV form. The 'winner' I was referring to was about the gain level (was acc just the leveller preset). The blip I'm referring to occurs 8sec's in between 'any' and 'thing'.I've been trying to figure this out now and it's occurring more frequently. Please you would also have to bare with me as I'm not too knowledgable about audio etc. I've also tried to crawl through this discussion to find help on this issue and I can't. This blip doesn't happen in any other programmes but I like the interface of Audition and would prefer to keep here, where I can keep audio files separate for my two mics etc. Please help[also sorry if this has been posted in the wrong topic forum]Thank you,Luke.
[Moderator moved to Audition.] Hello, my work computer has Adobe Audition version 3 already installed. If I download the current version, could it disrupt the old version? Or interfere with other computers on the network that also have the old version? Or would it just install its own separate version that won't impact anybody else? Thank you.
I recently upgraded my equiptment to the Neuman TLM 103 and Apollo Twin X console. I'm having an issue when trying to set my sample rate to 88.2 kHz in my Apollo...I save it in the console, but as soon as I open Audition, it immediately clicks back to 44.1 kHz. I've tested this multiple times, and it happens every time. I would greatly appreciate any guidance with this, thanks!
I noticed yesterday on an edit that the box for fade in/out splines is missing in the waveform view. I tried toggling the HUD and restarted Audition, but can't get it back. It may be a bug introduced with v22.4 since this is the first time I used it since the update. Is there another way to re-activate it, or is this a true bug? Thanks!
5k 2020 iMac user here. Rendering at 5k makes the UI painfully slow. Granted there is no need to do so but it means hot swapping resolutions whenever using the program. However when I do so it seems to scroll left much slower than it does to the right. I've seen some other people having similar issues with no results. Is this just a strange 5k monitor problem??? Ta in advance,-Jamie
I often change between overwrite mode and insert mode when I am recording or editing voice.I often forget which mode I have most recently entered - and find myself overwriting when I intend to insert and vice versa. Is there some way to tell which mode I am in without right-clicking the record icon?
Firstly a disclaimer... I'm not really a Mac user but I've a Mac here that I usually dual-boot into Windows. Somebody's asked me to test an audio issue on Mac so I needed to install a free audio app and came across Adobe Audition - BUT... When I downloaded the installer it told me that it'll only work from MacOS 10.15 onwards (which is Catalina, I think) and I'm running 10.14 here, which is Mojave. So is it still possible to find an Audition installer that'll work in Mojave.?
In classroom in a Book Audition CC Second Edition, Lesson 3 - Cut Copy Paste, position 1415 - I want to "choose Edit > Insert > Silence". But the menu-item 'insert' is grayed out. Only 'insert and mix' is available.I have closed AU, started it again and loaded just one single audio-file. Also there 'insert' is grayed out. What am I doing wrong? Thanks P.S. I hav'nt used AU for several years, so I want to refresh my knowledge by using the book.
Hi, is anybody aware of a way to open a Premiere sequence in an existing Audition session?I have some music prepared in Audition (think of it like a template session) and want to ad some audio tracks and video from Premiere into that session.
Hello Everyone. I have finished editing a Movie, and I have a question, please. My final Footage, contains many Cuts, adjustment layers, and Effects. I can easily select my footage and Choose Edit in audion, later Inside the Audition, I can apply my desired effects, and export the final clip back to Premiere. Also, I can export the final Edit into one single file, and later import that single file inside the Audition. Which Technique do you recommend, please?Thank you very much.

I have recently used Adobe Audition for vocal recordings. It was working perfectly today( I am using a pc, sure sm87 with a Scarlett solo, ) However, after unplugging the microphone and plugging it in again. the audio became very bad when recording. The audio was repeating( stuttering) , and had lots of background noise, to make sure it wasn't my mic. I tested it in audacity and it sounded perfect. I don't recall changing any settings in adobe, why is my audio sounding so bad all of a sudden? How can I fix it?
When I listen to audio track in Audition 2020, the audio only comes through the left side of headphones.YES - Bose works fine with everything else (Premier / Internet / Destop / my phone / etc.)YES - Default Output in Audition is set to Bose QC35 IIYES - Audio IS stereo with 2 channels at equal levelsYES - Audio having the same problem with other headphonesYES - Exported audio from Audition plays fine in both sides (problem limited to editing)YES - I've tried holding down Shift while starting up AuditionYES - I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Audition This is a relatively new problem... In ten years, I've never had this issue.... I really don't think it's the headphones or my system preferences.... I really believe there's a bug in Audition. I even tried opening old audition projects (same issue) I tried opening the audio files in older versions of Audion and was still having the issue.... 😞
Is it possible to use the plugins that come built in in Adobe Audition in other DAWs e.g. Logic Pro X, pro tools etc
I can't seem to set up x32 channels to record audio with audition. I am using the x-usb asio driver. But I still can't record the individual channels. Please help
Okay. So… Audition audio mixdown of mastered multi-tracks all works fine. The mixed-down WAV, when opened in Audition sounds perfect… in Audition, however if you test the music on a different player (Media Player, Itunes player, Edge player, Google player, stereo, car stereo, etc) it sounds wildly different (not just slightly different) – with maddeningly variable results. The bass is way up, it all sounds muggy and heavy.I have looked at the 32bit an 48000hz settings but could it be to do with these extra settings (I am unfamiliar with the differences shown in the screenshot): I did find a secret Quality slider in the advanced settings that told me I was only exporting at 50% so I put that up to 100%.Perhaps the forum can advise me on Dithering and whether this could be the cause of such differing playbacks: Most people I share the music with are NOT going to be opening it in Audition so it’s a massive problem.Previously I have always worked in Cubase and have not encoun
Sometime when I'm working with a complex session, even with every track pre-rendered, I'll get the "dropped samples" warning. When I mix this session down to a new file, is there any chance there will be dropped samples in the resulting mixdown?thanks
Audition 3, on Win7, I know it's old tech now but some of us still quite happily use Aud'3 for our sound production, which is ideal for occasional users. I recently tried to upgrade my interface and came across endless problems with compatability with win7, companys telling me I need to upgrade to win10 which I have on my office computer and dislike intensly. My editing suite which includwes Premiere Pro, which I purchased outright many years ago, works fine on my studio PC. after trying several interfaces which either would not work on win7 or crashed audition3. I finally found a new Behringer UMC202 HD, which has drivers as far back as winXP and actually installs and works first time with no problems.
