Audition 13.0.9.41 & 13.0.10.32macOS 10.15.7 Pressing CMD+S to save the current file in the Waveform editor does not save the file. A small progress indicator appears and seems to progress, but the Files panel and document tab still display an asterisk after the filename. Morever, attempting to close the file or quit Audition immediately after "saving" with CMD+S prompts the user to save unsaved changes to the file.
Whenever I start up Audition, a tab which looks like the sign-in tab, keeps repeatedly opening and closing without ever properly loading. Whenever I try to close the tab, my app crashes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and even trying it on different computers to no success. Any help on this would be massively appreciated.
I am trying to make a pan envelope, however, the option does not appear where I know it should be. As far as I know, I'm working on a stereo session so I'm not sure what the issue is. Is there something I might have toggled off?
Hello dear community, I am exporting an 8min, 6 track project to OMF. It's quite a simple project, with no effects attached. As the computer is creating the OMF file this Warning comes up, and the process stops: Warning: Clip duration is longer then source!I saw online a mention that this might happen if a file has been time remapped. However, I am not aware of any such changes here, unless I have done something by accident. Can anyone assist me in narrowing down what the problem here might be?
I read a post on here the other day about saving to MP3 without having to re-select the file type from wave to MP3 over and over and over again in the run of a workday. Well, I understand that many folks are concerned about quality etc. and don't save to MP3 because future edits degrade the quality even further & even further, there ARE workflows , like my own, where that's not even remotely an issue and saving to MP3 and the extra steps involved, Using the standard steps, is a royal pain in the patootie. The unsatisfying answer that was given to that post was "change your workflow" basically. The answer had said that if you do control shift save, it will remember that you used MP3 last time and it will save us MP3 again. That is simply not true in my experience, not even remotely, nor was it true in the experience of the original poster, who was rightfully frustrated by the answer he got. unfortunately that answer came from a moderator and that moderator closed
I am recording this morning in the same way as I do every day and suddenly this happens, see photo. When I save the file and reopen it is fine and then the new recording goes the same way. Has anyone seen this before?
Hey All!Having an issue with the Levels window when recording and I've searched all over the place and can't seem to find a fix for this. Figured it would be best to reach out to the gurus in this forum. Here's the issue:Before the issue, everything was running smooth. I was able to preview my input level before recording in the Levels window in Multitrack view. I would send a signal, the LED would light up, I could make my adjustments to avoid clipping, and all was fine. About 2 days ago I went to record and noticed that my input signal wasn't registering in the Levels window. It's registering in the channel that I've armed for recording, but nothing is showing up in the Levels window. I did a test recording and sure enough, Audition was recording the input but nothing was showing up in the Levels window which makes it very difficult to monitor while recording. I stopped recording, checked all of my settings, inputs, external gear etc, and tried again. Same issue. I then double clicke
Audition, for the second time in the last month, inserted a random audio file in the track I was working on. And then saved the file. I'd like to figure out how to stop Audition from doing this. I'd spent about an hour recording a story for a friend who's losing her ability to use her arms, and thus can't easily open books/turn pages. And Audition overwrote the file. This is what's happening: I'm working in the Waveform editor. I have a file that's 11:40 minutes long. I get a notice that Audition is going to quit. I click on Cancel. It quits anyway. When I reopen the file, it's been composited with a recording of rain that I made months ago. The same file that got mashed into a previous recording of a book I was working on a month ago. I don't understand how this (the compositing of different tracks) is even possible. I only have one file open--my voice recording. I am NOT working in Multi-Track mode. The rain file is NOT open. It's not highlighted. It's not in
I've been trying for some time to get my AA3.1 onto my new computer. I've recently realized that I did buy the disk, as I have the box it came in, and the User Guide that came with it, including my written info...customer ID, Serial number, Adobe Tech Support phone numbers, hours etc. What I can't find is the darn disk! So, while my old computer is still operational, it's a big pain to have to go fire up the old computer to access my .ses files and try an transfer them over to the new computer. Is there any way for me to transfer/copy all the files for AA3 from my old computer to my new computer, or do I absolutely need the disk?
Hi,In the last weeks I've been using Audition for recording guitars. I record a dry signal and then use modelling software, i.c. Amplitube 5, to add effects such as distortion. Amplitube 5 is running as a VST plugin in the effects rack. Here is the issue. When I use panning in the waveform it applies to the dry signal just fine, but when I then turn on the effects rack and route the signal through Amplitube the panning disappears. That sort of makes sense as the signal is treated like an original initial guitar input signal and you can't pan that left and right either while you're playing. Still it would be nice to be able to use panning without having to apply the effects permanently first (kinda defeats the purpose of VST effects...). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What is the best sound card for a PC to output Audition 5.1 projects?
I have 14.0.0.36 Audition running on a one year old mac book on Catalina 10.15.7 all audio records OK on multi or single track. But during sound testing/checking this audio, I hear the first 5/6 seconds of playback then nothing. I can see the meter bars still moving, and the audio has been recorded. if i save/mixdown the project & playback via other programs, such as Logic or VLC - i can hear everything. If I re-start my MAC - it works perfectly for a few minutes, then cuts out again. Once the audio has cut out, there is no way of hearing it in Adobe until I re-start my MAC, closing & re-opening Audition doesnt work. I have updated all drivers for my soundcard, and all settings in Audio Hardware are correct Any ideas?
A client delivered an m4a file with a 32000 Hz sample rate. I'll be mixing a couple other clips that have a sample rate of 48000 Hz. When moving it into multi track, should I create a 32000 Hz multi track session or convert it to the sample rate of the other clips I'll be using? Thanks in adavance!
It now often freezes during playback or recording, if I use a shortcut key, (like a -10db favorite) or change anything on the file while it's running. It used to handle this fine, but since the update, I've had problems.
Hi guys, i have problem with bunch of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.Premiere vers 15, Audition vers 14. The newestWhen i try from premiere edit clip in Audition - it is grey, so i cant. Okay then i press Edit-Edit in Adobe Audition. I started to work with sound in Audition but then i have been added Automatic Click Remover and it said - The selected effect may not be suitable for real-time playback because it is either CPU-intensive or high-latency. To maximize playback rerfomance, enable Prerendering on the track contaiging this effect. Effect slots contaiging CPU-intensive or high-latency effects are displayed in red. Next i road that i must turn on a button with lightning, so i did it but Automatic Click Remover still red. FF9-5-0044 [80004005] Hello.I am trying out Audition for recording vinyl LP's. (My hardware specs below)I had luck after first installation, and recorded one song for test. A few days later, I get the error FF9-5-0044 [80004005] when trying to record. After that, I record silence.(I can hear my turntable through the PC while!) (See attached image)I can see that this has been a topic earlier, for Windows 7 users, but now I am on a brand new build PC with these specs:MSI motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12 core CPU and 64 GB DDR4 SDRAM,running Windows 10 Pro 64. So, it's not firepower i lack! I do not have a PCIe soundcard installed, and therefore uses the on-board Realtek. My turntable is a Audio-Technica LP120 with build-in RIAA, enabling me to use USB as connection between the turntable and the PC. Having said that, the ASIO4ALL driver can not be the solution for me, as that driver does not support USB sound-drivers (as far as I see). So - any ideas? It's driving me nuts
hi, i use a usb cable (sound card), and sounds like this, why?
Since upgrading my 2019 iMac to Big Sur, I notice that CPU usage runs over 90% while using Audition, whether I’m recording a single track or editing multitrack files. I have been getting kernel panics a lot, sometimes several times a day. The pattern: I record a podcast segment (a 5–30 minute voiceover) and notice that my fans are blowing hard. I stop and save my work, close the file and a few seconds later, The screen goes black as the Mac reboots. I have 128 GB of RAM and a 2 TB internal SSD installed. All working files are captured to an external SSD. I welcome any help with this, especially suggestions to reduce CPU usage as that seems to be the culprit.
I have found the Universal Production Music Extension which sounds like a great idea- to have a window within Audition to directly search and download music from our account there. At one point I was able to download it and it functioned to the point of downloading the file, but would stop before the download began. Now I cannot even install it, having just migrated to a new machine. Can anyone offer some help to make this potentially great tool function?
This is becoming infuriating. I literally can't do anything in audition becuse within 3-5 minutes of it being on it crashes. Does not matter what I'm doing. Im using a Scarlett Focusrite have a mac that is totally up to date as well as an up to date version of Audition. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Hi! I tried to connect my piano to Adobe Audition using a USB cable, and the app does not give me the option to connect, which is strange because the computer does recognize the piano as connected.
Adobe Audition no longer needs any other product key besides the one provided by Adobe itself years ago which is still valid through the deactivation of the registration system - which is no longer needed. I re-installed on a Windows 7 Dell Optiplex with its onboard soundcard and re-downloaded the drivers so it would change the rear MIC/LINE jack into LINE and the STEREO MIX would show back up from being deleted before. I went into the Tools and Hardware Setup and chose the correct inputs and outputs but now when I record e g a stereo stream off of e g YouTube it records mono on both channels even though I can hear the stereo mix over the headphones/speakers. After three months of talking to [abuse removed by mod], I need to be speaking to somebody who can do something else besides A) Google the web/keyword a knowledgebase B) Recite prerecorded answers to FAQs/Explain company policy C) Refer out to someplace or somebody else with only the same 3 abilities Ja
I get the error saying "the application was uable to start correctly."
