Bridge

The solution posted of Launch Photoshop, Quit Bridge, then Relaunch Bridge does not work.  I am trying to copy developement settings in Bridge.  

Should be renamed Bugg hell 2013.So angry with all buggs and fails to this upgrade. 

When Bridge 2023 is exited, with (x) or via the menu, it can't be run again.It is still running in the background and cannot be restarted until that process is terminated via Task Manager.Also it seems that the workflow (screen layout) last used is not reopened as it normally would be - the settings are not saved.This behavior occured after I removed Bridge and Photoshop from my pc to make a fresh installation - (due to an error in Photoshop). I have not experienced this behavior with Bridge before.Running under Win 11 on a Lenovo Laptop-6TFDNSO9, installed 8 GB RAM, total virtual memory 22.8 GB.

Hi all, I just updated to the latest version of Bridge (13.0.0.562) it is very slow and laggy. Is there a known issue and if so is there a solution?My system spec and a screen shot of Task Manager whilest Bridge is running and displaying 11000 thumbnails is attached, this was never a problem with the previous version. The CPU usage spans fro 25% to 75% without any input from me.Also, why do I see multiples of apps such as helper running simultaneously?Thanks, Dave.An update, I just reinstalled V 12.0.3.270 and it's off like a racehorse, clearly the issue is with the new version.Regards.

Hello everybody,with Win 11 I would like to add to the context menu the item "Open with Adobe Bridge" for all supported files, without having to go to the "open with" menu, but from the first window that appears, is it possible?Also I would like to add the item "send to mail recipient" always from the first menu, with win 11 I have to click on "show other options", then on "send to" and then select "mail recipient", it is quite inconvenient. Both are 2 options that I use very often.Can anyone help me?

Bridge will recognize my 5 tb drive hooked to my pc with a cable but will not read any files or folders. I can import them into Photoshop with other programs, so the drive and cable seem good. Help!

When scrolling through large sections of folders, it feels and looks like you are scrolling the opposite direction.  When scrolling down, it moves the lower folder one space higher than the previous which creates a weird animation effect that makes it look like it's scrolling the wrong way!  In previous versions, this was alleviated by switching from Grid to Thumbnail view.  But for some reason this new release makes it happen on both.  Am I the only one seeing this? It's driving me crazy. 

I noticed a few weeks ago my Drop down arrows disappeared inside bridge. I did some digging on this site, you tube and so on and have no found the answer. I did a factory reset on my bridge.  This didn't solve the problem. I find it hard to work within my folders without the drop down arrow. What is the answer to reseting this. I see some have them some don't. Usually a folder inside a folder would create an arrow. I could click on the arrow and see what was in the folder. Another arrow would tell me there was a folder and there is items inside the folder. No arrows usually tells me there is no items in the folder. I have no idea what happen.    

Yesterday I reported the flawed preview system in Bridge - today I find another preculiarity.  When backing up a folder to my portable hard drive by dropping and dragging, Bridge deletes the folder from my PC.  Ok it's on the hard drive but to keep it in both places I have to use the "copy to" command.  But this isn't consistent - sometimes Bridge deletes the source folder and sometimes it doesn't.  I really think Bridge 2023 needs to revert to 2022 while all these silly little issues are sorted.

I'm new to Bridge and I have no clue about it, since this is the first time I use it.Therefore I'd appreciate a detailed instruction - thank you! 😄  I have a big folder with many sub-folders which contain photos. The folders containing the photos are named after the date when the photos were taken, in this format: YYMMDD (e.g. 221026) Now I want to replace the (wrong) date metadata of the photos with the date from the folder name, using some automation/script.  How would I do that?Thanks a lot in advance!

So this is the latest documentation I can find. You'll note that you have this API listed three different ways: copyTextToClipBoard CopyTextToClipboard CopyTextToClipBoard But none of them work! All throw an error "not a function".   Please advise.

Hi,since years I'm on CC and start Camera Raw from Bridge. Since today it does not work. I've been using Adobe Camera Raw since it's begining, and I've been using Mac OSX since the beginning. We use to have the options of never seeing the xmp files as they were automatically hidden if you choose that in preferences. Sometime in the past 6 months the xmp files are showing up and giving me headaches.  I want them. I need them. But i do not want to see them... ever. I do see that if you want them hidden, then one option is to change your raw to dng, but i don't want to do that. I want to edit my .nef in ACR.   First question:  Why have we lost the choice of hiding them?Second question: Why does anyone need to see them in their file directories anyway?Third question:  Is there anyway to hide a specicific file type like .xmp on OSX?

Is anyone else having this issue? I have just had the latest InDesign 2020 and the latest Bridge 2020 installed at work. I run Windows 10. I could previously use Bridge to place images into my InDesign docs using the right-click context menu but now this feature does not work. Nothing happens. Drag and drop does work but this is not ideal. I have reset my File Type Associations in Bridge but this doesn't seem to help. Bridge places files into Illustrator or Photoshop ok, but not InDesign. Any ideas? Thanks.

I want to be able to use the up-and-down page keys to scroll through adobe bridge. I can scroll using the mouse but not by pushing the upper down key.

Hey everyone! Our team uses bridge to communicate which images are selects and comps between art directors and retouching through the label function (ie red is a select, yellow is a comp). All images are exported in both Hi Res PSD (for the retouchers to use) and Low Res JPEG (for the ADs who struggle to load the PSDs). They have the exact same filename - it's just the fily type that's different. Often, it's only the JPEGs that get selected and not the PSDs, which slows down our process of finding the selects.  Is there a workflow or script that could be used with Bridge to copy labels from a JPEG to the PSD with the corresponding file name? If so, how would we go about creating this? Thanks!

ADobe, WHY do you insist on fixing things that are NOT broken!  Bridge 2023 is the biggest load of CRAP that I have ever seen.  You change everything (that worked fine and was NOT broken in the first place) and make our jobs wowrking with your product a nightmare!   IF IT ISN"T BROKEN LEAVE IT THE F ALONE!

 From the 2nd time I used Batch Rename in Bridge 13 (2023) the text box is blank but it seems the previous batch rename data is still there, just invisible. The result is Bridge concatonates the previous rename title with the current to the current photo name. I don't know if this is a bug, a one off with my installation, or that the way Batch Rename works had changed and I'm using it wrong. Regardless I can't find anyway to clear up the problem so that only the name I want is added to the file. Example of what happens:First set of pictures to be renamed -Text: EaglesDate: DDMMYYSequence: 1<Bridge renames and file looks like "Eagles DDMMYY 1"> Second set of pictures -Text: RobinsDate: DDMMYYSequence 1<Bridge renames and file looks like "Robins DDMMYY 1 Eagles DDMMYY"> Quitting Bridge does not flush/reset this either.  This is with a M1 Macbook Pro w/ MacOS 12.6 (Monterey). I never had this issue w/ the previous versions of Bridge.

Tabbed palettes are not added to Window menu, and the popup menu for opening/closing palettes has been removed. There is no onClose event for palettes either, apparently.   I use a flag for my tabbed palettes so there are not multiple instances opened but there is no way to clear the flag or simply reopen the palette like in previous versions.  

Hi there, since my yesterday's update to MAC Monterey 12.4 , i cannot open Bridge 2022 anymore. Despite an update of Bridge to the latest version, de-and reinstallation of Bridge 2022, i am still unable to open it. It crashes immediately. Bridge 2021 still works fine. Has anyone a clue how to fix the problem? Thks. Ralph

Hello,I recently downloaded Bridge 2023 and I don't seem to have any info or filename when I am in Filmstrip mode which is what I usually use. It appears in Essentials, Libraries etc.  Is there something I need to click to bring it back?  Thank you.
