Bridge

Is there a fix/workaround for this?I use bridge to rename and metadata tag large volumes of video files. Our vidoegraphers shoot at multiple locations in a city, and for some projects multiple cities within a state. For smaller projects I don't really notice, but since I updated to Bridge 2019 (currently running version 10.0.0.124) the program seems to be taking longer to generate thumbnails/previews, and whenever I rename the files or update metadata reprocesses the thumbnails/previews. Prior to the 2019 update I did not notice it doing this. Further, sometimes it will hang up while processing and the files won't update and become un-updatable until I purge the cache completely for the folder. I ran the numbers yesterday, and for one of the larger multi-city shoots it looks like I can currently spend nearly 90-120 minutes just waiting for Bridge to process thumbnails/previews. And i do in fact need the still image thumbnails for quick reference while tagging, so turning down

Using the "Metadata" panel in Bridge; manually typing keywords into IPTC Core section. Does this resave the image every time I add decide to add a new keyword this way. Wondering about JPEGs being resampled every time.Are there other metadata/keywords adding methods (even outside bridge) where this is a concern? Thanks so much; have a nice day.

Hi there, I'm working on a book publication with a lot of figures, and the author, who prefers working analogue, is asking for a contact-sheet type printout with the images to one side, some specific metadata info, and enough space to scribble down notes for edits for me to make. Essentially what I'm looking for is a way to export how things already appear in the content window of Bridge with 'View contents as details' selected, shown below. Unfortunately the contact sheet export option in the Output tab only exports the filename, as do both the Photoshop and Lightroom options. I'm hoping that there's some way to easily automate this, as I'll have to do this for hundreds of images, and the list is pretty much already there as I want it in Bridge, just not as a printout. 

Hi everyone, We have a problem since we're using Adobe Illustrator 2020.When I apply color settings in Bridge (2019 or 2020) : I'm synchronized.Now if I open a file in Illustrator 2020 wich doesn't match and I select "Use file color settings" or "Convert to… " or "Delete" -> When coming back to Bridge it says I'm not synchronized anymore.But if I check color settings in Illustrator : it perfectly matchs.The message of Bridge is just WRONG. Is there a solution to avoid this misinformation in Bridge please ? Best regards.Damien.

Hello- I recently decided to use Bridge, ACR, and Phtotshop for all my processing photo projects. I have nothing against Lightroom (I've used it for a long time) but I just decided to get proficient in ACR and Photoshop so Bridge turned into my method of organizing. My problem is this- I am using the latest version 10.0.3.138, and AFTER I've done all my processing I go to Output to export to my printer (off site, private company) and I want to save the file with my watermark added. I use the Output settings pane to add the watermark, set print size, etc but when I try to drag and drop the Output preview to my custom folder settings in the Export pane I don't get the 'start export' button and nothing happens. If I drag the photo from the Content folder it Exports the photo but without the watermark! I've searched 'settings' and 'preferences' but have found no settings I may have missed. I also could not find this exact problem in the help files. BTW- I unistalled/re-installed Bridge and

I use Bridge 2020 daily and often use the Full Screen Preview (spacebar) function. Lately it freezes and I cannot exit out of the preview. Escape does not work. Sometimes, I can switch to Photoshop, and select 'Close and go to Bridge', and this will bring me to Bridge and exit the Preview. However, the main menu bar will be missing (see attached). Has anyone else had this, or know of any solutions? I'm going to check out the Bridge troubleshooting page. Thanks! Bridge, Photoshop, etc. CC 2020 on iMac 2017 running Mojave (10.14.6)

v2020 is almost unusable. Still nowhere near v19. IT HAS BEEN MONTHS SINCE RELASE - THIS IS UNEXAPTABLE - USE YOUR RECORD REVENUE AND FIX THIS!

Hello,Often I am not able to delete in any way the file jpg or other that I am browsing on Bridge.Seems to accept the command and the program pass to the other image but the supposed "deleted" file is still there! (I do it wiht  by pressing CANC or right click and delete, same issue)For delete them I have to move the file in another folder and delete the folder, or do it from Windows Folders. Can someone help me to find a solution or undestand why it's happen?  Thank you. 

When Bridge is maximized, if you hover over any of the main menu items (File, Edit, View, etc.) you can't click them if your pointer is positioned at the top of your screen, like you can with other Adobe programs, as well as the built-in Windows minimize, maximize, and close buttons. In Bridge, there's a gap of about 5px at the top of each menu item's hit box. Having the hit box go to the top of the screen is better for usability, since you don't need to be as exact with your mouse movement. If an element is at the edge of the screen, it's easier and quicker to jab your mouse at it, since you don't have to worry as much about positioning.

Hello,   Since the latest update, when deleting a file, the blue selection on file disappears instead of going to the next one. It goes back to the beginning of the folder and I have to select again the file/picture I was arrived at. Not efficient when you have a huge selection. If I choose "refuse", the blue selection stays and it goes to the next file as usual, but it makes me work twice and loose time. I could use only "delete" and the right arrow so it was easy, but I now need the mouse to reselect the file...   I tried to reset everything but the issue remains with delete.   Does anyone know how to fix that?   Thanks!       [Moved from Creative Cloud to Bridge by moderator. || Note: BRIDGE-8932 ]

__Bridge appears useless when searching for keywords on a server...for example, I have a folder with the word 'Nashville', but no results turn up. In fact, no results unless I look for all images or something broader...

Bridge 2020 stop showing thumbnail of video (.m4v  and .MOV) thumbnail.  I turn on use software rendering, as well as highlight each video to purge Cache for that video.The first 1 or 2 video I purge Cache show the thumbnail.  But when I did the 3rd one, nothing happen.  Besides that, Bridge freeze, I could not purge cache anymore.  I have to restart my computer, if I'm lucky, I can purge 2 more, but then Bridge freeze again.I have hundreds of video, please advice. Half year ago, before I update Bridge to the new version, I can see both video right away.  I could not work at all now!!!I just update my bridge to the newest version, and no luck. Thanks

I cannot open pdf file with AI using Bridge. I tryed to change preference - file association-but pdf need to stay associated with Acrobat. Any advice?

I have been using Adobe bridge to uploade pitctures from camera, but now get error. Adobe photo download encountered an error. Any ideas please   

I have the CC package, so have the latest updates and I am using a Windows 10 Pro system with tons of memory resources.Bridge crashes every time I open it and then select multiple RAW files for processing.  My workflow for years has been to select a large number of RAW files while in Bridge and then right click and choose "open in camera RAW" so I can make basic adjustments and save as TIFF files for final processing.  When I do that now, Bridge crashes and gives me the option of reporting it to Adobe, which I do.  It was not return a crash message or number, but it crashes every single time whether I select two RAW files or 100+.At this point, my only option for processing RAW files is to slected them individually in Photoshop and let it punch out to camera RAW for that image.  Needless to say, that isn't working well for larger shoots.Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Hallo zusammen,ich habe mit Adobe Bridge ein kleines Problem und ich finde den Fehler nicht.Wenn ich ein Bild in einen anderen Ordner verschieben will, so konnte ich früher das entsprechende Bild mittels [I]Rechtsklick -> verschieben nach -> Orndner wählen [/I] in eine meiner Festplatten verschieben. Es wurden sämtliche im PC befindlichen Laufwerke aufgelistet. Seit neuestem kann kommt aber in dem Auswahlfenster nur noch mein persönliche Ordner. Es werden keine Festplatten mehr aufgelistet.Ich suche mir jetzt schon nae zeitlich nen Wolf, aber ich finde die Ursache nicht. Hat hier vielleicht jemand nen Tipp für mich?Danke schonmal.  

Using the Essentials layout for Bridge CC, my preview approximately fills the screen on my 4K laptop screen.  If I move Bridge over to a 27" monitor, the Bridge workspace will expand to fill the monitor but the preview does not expand.  If I check "Generate Monitor-Size Previews," it makes no difference.  Also, Ctrl +/- has no affect on the preview zoom.  It seems absurd that I can easily regulate the size of the content thumbnails but I can't regulate the size of the preview.  Is there a way to do this?

I am new to using bridge and want to explore using this as my workflow...  I have two external Drives and both hold JPEG and RAW images.  I would to see the best way of viewing all images by type in Bridge, to work and tag them. I do not seem to be able to do this in Smaet Coillections. Thanks in advance Paul

Hi I am able to use bridge and photoloader on all my bodies but for some reason a .mov file from my Nikon Z6 causes an error, it wont recognise and download the file.  Its okay with NEF and JPEG files off the same card.  Same reader om my D500's and XQD cards are fine, just the Z6.  Any thoughts?ThanksSteve

My color images preview in color by defult.  But I want to see all my previews as B&W only. How do I do this? As I want to process heros as final B&W images I want to see them as B&W in thumbnail preview mode. Many thanks in advance for any advice. 

Im using the same 2 monitors and I like to have 3 windows open 1st window contains (Folders, Favorites & Metadata) tabs .....1st monitor2nd window is set to Preview ....1st Monitor3rd is Content .....2nd monitorI have saved the set up so many times and it does not matter because when I close bridge for some reason it gives me 2 windows on monitor 1 and it does this 30% of the time   PLEASE HELP  Chris

How can I get the "file modified date" to only change when I do actually modify the file. I don't care to know when I changed the number of stars, that is not a modification to the file! But it would be nice to know which version of a file is older or newer, as far as actual changes to the file. I do save 'a' or 'b' but not always and sometimes it's a tif instead of psd, and I go back and forth because some other programs just need a tif to work. Then I change the star count to help sort out what I want to keep or not and OPPS there goes all the dates modified. Oh joy. I'm not sure but I think if you only open a file, look at it but don't do anything, it will count as a moification. Roland
