Bridge

I am finding .AVI files that no longer have thumbs nor will play.  I came upon some that showed thumbs and were playable, but they had the wrong creation dates.  Bridge often applies false dates to movies, years before, as well as putting camera models that I didn't use and haven't owned for many years.Checking the correct dates in my database, I changed, in description and  camera data, as I have often needed to for .MOV files.  In this case, the thumbs changed to icons, and they won't play in Bridge nor media player and won't even import into Premiere Pro, saying wrong file type.

Bridge plante quasiment à chaque utilisation. Je suis constamment obligé de le fermer  pour le réouvrir si je veux que ca se débloque. faut il réinstaller le programme ou le problème est il récurrent quoi qu'on  fasse ? Laurent

BonjourCela fait 2 versions que j'ai des soucis avec Bridge. Dès un redémarage de mon PC (neuf) Bridge devient lent et rame... Rien n'y fait auprès du support, déjà 2 nouvelles versions et toujours le même problème. J'utilise Bridge depuis sa sortie il y a au moins 10ans et c'est de pire en pire. Ma formule me permet d'installer ma Suite sur 2 postes c'est ce que j'ai fait. Une version sur ma tour PC et la seconde sur mon PC portable. Le beug ne touchait jusqu'à présent que ma tour PC, et maintenant le beug pollue mon PC portable jusque là épargné. La seule piste du support serait de déconnecter la Suite sur un des postes PC... Non mais cela ne me convient pas du tout ! Bref c'est de pire en pire. Quelqu'un aurait une solution ? J'en ai marre de désinstaller et de réinstaller BRIDGE à chaque fois que je redémarre ma tour... Merci

Hi guys, I still have a very, very annoying issue with Bridge UI (since version 9): everytime I minimize it and back to Bridge, or switch to another application, the Favorites and Preview windows disappear. I have to open the windows menu and restore them, everytime... EVERYTIME...I already contacted Adobe Customer Service several times; one time they told me that it is a bug that occur with the latest versions of Microsoft Windows 10 (?!), then they told me I got a virus... Last time they told me to full restore my system. Nothing worked, never.Clean cache, reset to default or uninstall and reinstall doesn't fix the problem. I work with Adobe suite 6/8 hours a day, it's so frustrating...Anyone experiencing the same issue?I run Bridge last version and Windows 10 Pro last build. Note that this happened since update to version 9. With v8 everything worked fine.Thanks to everyone who can help. 🙏

Loving the new layout and target adjustment tool.Having lots of problems however wit the programme ... or is it my mouse??  I haven't done anything to alter the mouse characteristics but I am finding it very difficult to click once on an thumbnail without out it launching diectly intp ACR.  I have tried a quick click and along click and sometimes the file is highlighted but so often it launches.  This particularly frustrating when trying to mark for example several images for identical subsequent treatment... before I know it one image has launched! Any help or ideas to overcome this would be most welcome.I am also frequently finding that my NVIDIA card stops working and I send an error report as requested but I have had no feedback.  I have a pretty fast Windows PC and 16GB of ram.  I have only 225GB C Drive with 53GB spare, just wondering if it would be wise to get a 1 or 2 GB C Drive and 32 GB Ram.  I found that when I installed Lightroom it simply

I'm using an old Canon scanner to make digital contact sheets of my b&w negs. This particular scanner has a negative filmstrip holder that lets me scan 5 strips at a time. I sometimes have 6 strips to scan however, and would like to merge 2 scans into one to keep it all in one file. The scanner software is creating DNG format files for me. Can I merge 2 DNG files in Adobe Bridge and create a "new" file with the 2 scans? Or do I just open up the 2 files in Photoshop and paste them togethetr to create one new file. If I go the Photoshop route what format would I save this new file as? PSD, tif, jpg or another?    

I have an ongoing problem searching for particular files in Bridge. I've gone through and added keywords to my graphics files, as well as a lot of files have keywords in the names. For example, I have a png file "bluerose1.png." As keywords I put "watercolor" "flower," "floral," but not rose,  or blue, because that's already in the title. But when I do a search in the whole folder, and choose "all metadata" with the keywords watercolor and rose, "all criteria are met," it won't find the rose, and in fact I'll get a "No results" message. Even though I know for a fact that particular file is in that folder. If I choose "If any criteria are met," I'll get ALL the files tagged with watercolor, even though they aren't roses. So why doesn't Bridge find the keywords that are in the titles, as well as in the keywords? Windows finds the keywords in the titles just fine, but it doens't pick up the keywords that I've added with Bridge for png files, only for jpegs.

I was able to import photos from the camera directly to Bridge via cable, but now it no longer works. Has it changed in the program after the latest update?

Takes a folder in Bridge at least 15 min. to load. Help

Adobe Bridge causes my internet to disconnect. It somehow interferes with the network connection. This has been an ongoing issue since last fall (late 2019) for me. I currently have the latest version of Bridge installed (10.0.1.163) on my Windows 10 system. Over the past 6 months I have uninstalled, reinstalled, totally reformatted the system then reinstalled, nothing works. I am aware Bridge does not use the internet actively. And yet, no matter what, within a minute or two of starting the software, it always freezes my internet. As soon as I quit, internet is back. Tough situation as I've been a dedicated Bridge user for as long as it's been on offer. I can't give it up as part of my workflow. So now I have to stop doing anything online before I can use Bridge. I use Adobe bridge 10.1 but it does not start up, I see a screen for a moment and then it shuts down again without further messages.I also use Adobe Photoshop 21.2 and Lightroom classic 9.3 and Lightroom desktop 3.3 and they start up without any problems. The previous version Adobe bridge also started without any problems.Please give your advice or solution.With regards Ron

Hi,I'm having some trouble getting Bridge to show preview pictures for Iphone Video(.mov) files.I have folder with 99 *.mov videos and when I browse to that folder in Bridge it tries to calculate the previews for tose videos, when that is done- it shows somtimes some of previews,- the next it show previews of some of the other files and none of the other files it showed before,- somtimes none of the previews - on rare occasions all of the previews. I found some tips on google for solving missing previews which I tried:- installing q-lite- installing k-lite codec- deleting the cache- set bridge to use software rendering- increasing cache size to 400.000none of that helped. I thought it might be the amount of videos, so i moved 2 videos to a diffrent folder. But the previews were still not shown in that folder. I finally tried it in a virtual machine with windows 7 with some of the videos and the previews were all visable there.  I use Bridge 10.0.4.157 on W

Hello everyoneI am a photographer and lecturer for photography at the Merz Akademie in Stuttgart and have been working with Adobe Bridge for my image selections for about 15 years.Usally I could go through the pictures with the cursor keys and when I deleted one, the next image was active. In version 9.1.0.338 with which I am working now, this is no longer possible. When I delete a picture, none is active anymore and I have to click on a picture every time to go further.Does anyone know the problem and have a remedy for this?Best thanks and greetings from Stuttgart,Victor

Is it just me? Bridge 2018 freezes before I even finishing arranging the workspace. Did it multiple times. Unusable. 2015 MacBook Pro, Sierra. Bridge 2017 runs fine.

Please advise how to solve Adobe Bridge (10.1.0.163) cannot reqonized and cannot open the JPG files taken from Redmi Note 8 and didn't detect the source (normaly when the smartphone plugged it, it can detect the source) when import the files.Awaiting the advice

Hi, i have a problem with Bridge CC 2020.All the colors are too much intense. If i open Bridge 2019, the colors are the same as in PS CC.But with 2020 too much intense. This looks very bad and i cant show the pictures my customers. So i use Bridge 2019.My Monitor is a Eizo CX271, calibrated.Color management with PS CC and synchronized with both Bridge version. But 2020 are too much intense. Whats the fault?Pls need really help! Thank you, Stefan

I am trying to use Bride to go clean up my old photos. When I tried to download it, I was told I had to update my Creative Cloud first. When I clicked on Install updates in Creative Cloud, it froze so I turned to chat support. The person was very helpful and spent over an hour with me, trying to solve the frozen Creative Cloud issue which was the first step to downloading and using Bridge. He finally got Creative Cloud to install updates (screen sharing magic, cleaner tool etc) and Bridge was downloaded. However as soon I click on Bridge to open it, it immediately says Bridge had to shut down please send a crash report.  Unfortunately it was too late to keep working on this issue (since it was past midnight by the time we got to this stage) so I had to end the chat session with that agent. I want to be able to search the metadata keywords in my library of vector art. I have a lot of keyworded images and it looks like I can only search by filename. I tried using Bridge, but it didn't work. Need your help. Thank you.Eric

Since updating to Catalina clicking on an illustrator file will not open it nor can I drag an illustrator file into a folder. Other files will open like folders or jpegs. My file type preferences are set to open in illustrator so its not that. I've also updated my Bridge and Illustrator software. I can open files through Finder.Using a Mac book pro and a Wacom tablet.Thanks for any advice!Dawn

I'm trying to use Windows File Explorer to search for images with a keyword assigned in Bridge. The only images that are coming up are .tif files. I see that the keywords are showing up as "tags" on the tif files, but the other file formats don't have any tags. How can I make the OS recognize the keywords?
