Bridge

Is there a way to use Boolean search in Bridge to narrow the search field using multiple keywords? I've searched dozens of forums and it doesn't appear like that feature is avaialble.    

I'm looking at various photo organizing apps, and want to make sure that my large collection of photos, heavily keyworded (in metadata) can be converted to Bridge keywords. Or does it matter? I want to be able to do quick searches based on the keywords, and edit them easily.

I have created an indesign file with images strewn about a server, and without packaging the document, and keeping the files in their original locations, I was hoping to see the files, access them from a single view/place. This is where I thought Bridge could come in handy. Cut to, I have exported a list of the images and their filepaths to a txt/csv file. The question now is, how would I create a Bridge "Collection" from this same list? If such a thing were doable, it would be exactly what I am after. If there's a better way to do what I want. I would take that too. I had previously thought there might be a reverse-link lookup tool in Bridge, where I could specify an indesign file and ID all its links, or ID links that are placed in any indesi

I have iMac whit Catalina and Br 2020, in preview the files are double or triple images.Some times push F5 for up date, and working. But some times no. Help me please.

I am using Windows 10 64 bit on a PC. I pay the monthly subscription to Adobe so I have all of the latest updates.  I have bought a Canon 1DX Mark111 and just received the Promotional SanDisk CFexpress Card Reader.  It comes with a cable, type C to C but I do not have a C port on my PC.  I bought a Hama cable C to USB 3.1 and I used this to connect the Reader to the PC.  I selected 'Download using Bridge CC' and the Adobe Downloader opened.  This showed rectangular thumbnails for each of my photos, together with their respective file names, but you could not see the actual images.  Each rectangle just showed a pattern of a painted flower.  I clicked 'Get Media' and the download was successful, in that the images did reach the PC but Bridge did not open automatically.  I had to go in manually.  In Bridge Preferences, File Type Association, the cr3 files are referred to and Photoshop 21.1 is shown as the associated program.  Does anyone k

I am unable to see the option to make a web gallery in Bridge CC 2020.I see the PDF/Contac sheet option, but not the web gallery function.This went from Photoshop to Bridge some time ago; is it no longer a Bridge feature?Thanks.

there is no such .mp4 file extension in the preferences under file extensions, there is .m4a, but when i select wmplayer, it makes no difference. So does anyone know if i can set file preference for .mp4? (what is the term they have used?)

After the update the mouse pointer is a black fleck on a dark grey background when using default settings. That's not optimal in anything but the brightest theme. Please do not override system defaults for purely stylistic reasons, that's bad UX and as demonstrated won't end well. (Windows 10)

Hi all, I have some pictures where the date of picture is missing in the metadata (EXIF). However, when I look at the file properties in Windows, I see a "Date Acquired" field which is correctly populated with the date the picture was taken.Also Adobe Bridge does see it as when I go into the RawData, I see it :<MicrosoftPhoto:DateAcquired>2013-01-04T13:53:05.857</MicrosoftPhoto:DateAcquired>I would like that date to be added to the EXIF when missing ...can this be done by BRIDGE? I would like to avoid having to do that manually.thanksB

The Photoshop UI palette uses BridgeTalk to allow interaction with the palette buttons. The. idea was to use functions and a switch statement to add functionality to the UI buttons. It turns out, BridgeTalk uses a different type of function and does not work with a switch statement. A workaround was suggested which includes wrapping the functions in the bt.body and copying the bt.body to an external file where they can be treated with regular photoshop functions.  Every time the script runs the by.body is copied to an external file overwriting the previous version.Can somebody check the script and suggest how to proceed.          For the life of me,  I remain at a loss for a way I can 'make' Bridge and Camera Raw regain the full Raw image file data that the original image captured. What appears PS 2020, Camera Raw12 and Bridge 2020 Apps are a flattened (absent lens distortion) and cropped file (as if it were a jpg image).         I know that the full range of 'uncropped' image data has been retained in the original file, because; image viewers such as Windows Photo (OS10) presents the image in full. By Full I mean, with the the lens distortion, and vignetting of the 24mm lens. I want this distrortion, I want the full image, yet PS Bridge and Camera Raw 'corrects it for me' which is something - I do not want.        Very Furstrating: I compose in viewfinder, do not crop post procuction, and trust that want I saw when I clicked the shutter will be what I'll see, and have to work with when I use A

I was working on Bridge and everything was the same as it had been for years (I never update my OS or software unless necessary to make sure my workflow stays consistant with vendor requirements. Usually I do this about every two years and make all updates at one time). I woke up one morning and Adobe Bridge would read the jpegs as flat and washed out, and it was reading RAW files as dark and oversaturated with color. The RAW files are maked untagged as well, which is odd There were no updates on my computer overnight. Adobe support looked at it and they agreed it was strange. They spentd two hours looking at it, and said they would get back to me. Later they sent an email saying that it was supposed to work this way, but I don't know any phoitogorahers that agree, and Sony reps said it was not normal. Hi,I've acknowledged, that there is no way to extend selectively metadata showed in detail-view besides few available informations. What about limiting few that are showed in default. My problem is that informations like date of creation and modification of file are pretty useless to me, but take some space in Content Panel forcing me to stretch it and to minimize panel with the image view. I'd like to see keywords under rating for example. I'm managing large number of science related photos. To describe it using keywords i got to see image as large as possible in horizontal position. Minimizing other columns would save a lot of time. Opening metadata panel takes some space either (and also - info refer only to one img at the time) so it's a missed sulotion, and i'm still not so good at script writing so it's not possible for me to solve the problem this way (yet!). Hello, I use Bridge 9.1.0.338 and use the Favorite function. Some of my favorite folders are located on a external drive. When I forget to connect the drive before clicking a favorite, it will be deleted without any chance to cancel nor to see where the favorite folder was located.Is there any possiblity to protect the favorites? Thanks for your support!

Since updating to Bridge 2020 I find that the slider will not resize images selceted to preview.  Moving the slider changes the size of the thumbnails in the filmstrip but not the selected image.  Can anyone suggest what I may have set wrongly? 

I’m cleaning up a lot of photos and I want to rename them all using a file naming convention. I want to store the original filename in the metadata so we will be able to find the correct file in case an old filename is referenced. Bridge has the a checkbox ‘Preserve current filename in XMP Metadata’ for that. Problem is, when this is ticked, Bridge also changes the ‘Modifed date’ of the files. This date is very important in our workflow and should not change. Any ideas how to store the original filename in metadata AND preserve the modified date of files? Using Bridge or other software (on mac).

 I downloaded Adobe bridge yesterday but when I right click an image in the main window of Adobe Bridge, the windows pop up menu appears. The only options that I’m offered when I Click ‘Open with’ are Adobe PS CS6 and Elements but no more. I want to access additional photo editors such as Affinity Photo and Qimage Ultimate. After saving a JPEG from photoshop into a folder in Finder that image doesn't appear in Bridge's thumbnail view. Images I delete will not disappear from the thumbnail view as well. I have tried restarting Bridge and still no luck. I've also tried leaving the folder and then entering back into with no luck.  I apologize if this is not clear. Let me know and I can try and explain more! I use Bridge to view storyboard files. It's much better than hitting the spacebar in Finder and clicking through. Definitely smoother in Bridge.

Hi, i am a new Bridge user.usage for organising my source files, search tool and updating or creating XMP-sidecars. (first look is promising.)Lot of things to read to understand the posibilities but as start up i am interested in some differences.1) i understand i can make a "sjabloon" a auto fillin template.how can i make it a automated writing and can i make it work for all images i did createalready a xmp for? I'm trying to install Adobe Bridge CC since a couple of Days now. Every time I click install in the CC App, it shows "installation failed" after a couple minutes. I tried the solving steps for Error 160 from the Adobe forum, removed the whole Creative Cloud Suite and all its files from my computer and reinstalled everything. All Programs got successfully installed again, but Bridge gives me the same error message again. I've tried removing all apps and creative cloud, tried the cleaner tool and then just reinstalled cloud and Bridge only.  Still won't work.  Can anywone help?

Goodmorning everyone,yesterday I installed Bridge 2020, when I opened it the first time, when asked to access the desktop folder and the documents folder and to the download folder, I mistakenly said no !!! Now I don't know how to fix the error.In the folders there is a prohibition sign, and a white arrow with the tip pointing downwards.Thanks to those who will be able to help me .. I use mac os 10.15

I have got a problem. My files appears twice with a usual name as " dsc_0808.jpeg" and another file which is locked and named "dsc_0808 (2019_09_04 1.......UTC).jpeg. I don´t know how the files have been two and how to deal with them. Who is the main file and what happens if I delete the UTC-file or the other file? What I understand is that this thing appears when choosing "Bildband" in the mainmenu. Can someone please explain this to me? Tommy   [email removed by moderator]
