Bridge

Yesterday, Bridge started closing when I would click on a folder to view the contents. So I installed the new version. Last night it worked fine. This morning the folders are closing again when I click to view the contents. Can anyone help?Thanks to those who know more than me,Joe

I need to add keywords to multiple files that already have large keyword lists.  How can I add a keyword without losing all the other keywords already there?    Thanks.

Bridge keeps deleting my network locations in favourites automatically, I don't wan it to do that.I move between home and office regularly and accidentally click on a network folder all the time, it gets deleted, says "cannot be mounted", needs to be back on my favourite list when I get back to the office. I just need Bridge to say "this folder is unavailable" or "no items to display". Seems like a small issue, I know, but it wastes time and it's irritating.Bridge preferences seem somewhat limited, I'd apreciate any help or workarounds.

Ok I have tried everything to get bridge right, setting permissions and other stats but now I need what the preferences should be in order for this too work correctly, hope someone can help with this thanks in advance Bill PS running on a mac with catalina

I attached the screenshots. Whenever I click on "preference", I get this dialogue box that says the file is locked. I've never seen this before. Also "Photoshop" menu under "Tools" is gone forever. I can't find answers on this anywhere. Is there anyone from Adobe here? Can anyone help me out on this? By the way, I'm using the latest verion of Photoshop & Bridge together, so they should be compatible together.    

Is there no way to change the date of capture on multiple files without making all of those photos be captured at the same time? Meaning I want to leave the time on the photos as is, but just change the date they were captured.  Thanks 

I just got a new computer, Dell mobile Precision workstation 5530 running Win 10 Pro, and I have reset up my Adobe apps. Bridge is showing some annoying behavior: using essentials view, whenever I minimize and then reopen, I lose the preview pane, and so everytime have to drag the divider to the left to get it back. This never happened before in any of my old computers. Am I missing a setting somewhere?TIA,Toby

Bridge can only save a few favorites. I have to recreate the list of favorites every time!

Hi guys, My whole photo previews are distorted when I display them as fullscreen. It happened when I upgraded my computer to macOS Catalina.    Any idea about the solution?    

Full-screen preview in bridge is not functioning, the image appears distorted. I am using macOS Catalina. Please, can this be fixed?

I've spent many hours trying various versions of Bridge and Photoshop to see if I could get ACR to work in Bridge as it is supposed to work when the double+click option is checked in Preferences.  I have not succeeded.  I receive no error message of any kind. The only way I can load an image in Bridge to ACR is to use the context menu. I've opened Photoshop with a current subscription, as well as Lightroom, opened Bridge, closed it, then opened it again, and no change whatsoever.Times past, Bridge worked great, even with my current Adobe software (when it was installed on my d: drive where I previously had installed Bridge and Photoshop).  Had to reinstall Windows 10, Adobe would install only on the OS drive, and after installing, I now cannot use Bridge with double+clicking.  Does anyone know how I might fix this problem?

Since upgrading to Catalina (and thus from Bridge to Bridge 2020), I get an error when I start up Bridge 2020, and Bridge does not open after clicking OK on the error box.   I have seen other reports of a permissions issue between Bridge and Catalina but no clear instructions on how to resolve it. I'm not sure if this is the problem or not, but I'm hoping someone can post a step-by-step solution so that I can try it out.

 Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi, I have been using Bridge to rename batches of my files for some time.I have using it ffor files of varioious formats ,psd .nef .jpgThe last 3 times I have attmepted to use things are going wrong....Format I use is:Location_Date (ddMMYY_Sequential number_info.Notice the file extension is now missing Then Bridge will tell me I have given my file a name that is not allowed beacuse it has now renamed the image wiht a dot (point) in front of hte file name:When I go back into batch rename the dot has been inserted before the location info at the start of my file as well as losing the file extension. Any suggestions as to why? 

I have a listing of keywords in Bridge 2018. Bridge 1919 was loaded by adobe but it did not contain 2018 keywords. I carried on using 2018, both versions were active. 2020 automatically loaded by ac but they took away the 1918 and 1919 left with no keywords! It would make a good video, also how to back bridge keywords up? How do companies run their keywords if adobe changes / updates bridge every year? Hi all,We just noticed with my co-workers that everytime we open and modify an ai. files, the date of creation changes to the same date of modification. I couldn't find any solution to fix the issue. Anyone else has the same problem? Or a solution?  It's a big problem for us as the date of creation is really important for our workflow.(Last Bridge update done today, v10.0.2)Thanks in advance!

Hi all since the last update Bridge has been slow and freezing up. running on a mac in catalina and have updated and also tryed even a reinstall still is slow and crashes, have no idea what is causing the problem, any help would be greatly appericated Bill

Hey Gang, first time on ANY forum.  i am a photographer working on creating a shared network search engine.  Bridge shared cache touts THAT SOLUTION.  i am having tons and tons of crashing and after multiple tickets into Adobe we still can't get it to behave at any level.  CRASHES ALL THE TIME.Is there ANYONE that is having success using the shared cache?  would love to pick your brain.  

I'm using Bridge 2020 on my macbook pro 10.13.6 from and external hard drive and it has frozen -- can't even quit or hide.  Help! 

I have Windows 10 and the Bridge 10.0.2 it takes forever for Bridge to open. When it finally opens no matter what I click on it will freeze and I have to end task on it. I have tried to look online for a fix but can not seem to find anything that will help. I know I am not the only person that has had this happen to.

I have been using Bridge with Windows 7 for a few months now and am about to move to Windows 10.  My files are all kept on an external HDD but am aware that when I do a clean install of Win10 all my programs will be removed. Will all the data in Bridge associated with my files (e.g. meta data, keywords, file information) still be available to me?  What issues must I consider before doing an upgrade to Win10?

Bridge 10.0.2. Just did a clean install onto a new mac with Catalina. Imported my Keywords from the old computer, all photos on an external hard drive, Gave Bridge full disk access in my preference securities. When I try to do a search in Bridge for a keyword or even specify photo name with "include subfolders" and "Include non-indexed files" it comes up with zero results. Under metadata the keywords are shown attached to the photos but the search is not seeing them. Any ideas?

For some reason in the new version of Bridge 10.0.2.131 I can't open the desktop folder.If I open Favorites all folders are visible (Home) (Documents) (Pictures) (Desktop) all open when clicked,except Desktop.If I open Folders there is Desktop and Computer. If I click on computer there is the Hard drive, Click on Desktop and nothingI just donn't know.  Can anyone Help Please.PS. Yes there are folders on the Desktop.Bob Tanner.

So I've looked through a handful of inquiries about deleted files from Bridge but haven't seen an answer to this question yet: I am a wedding photographer and typically sort my files and rename them before uploading them to my cloud-based platform to share with my client. Lately in Bridge, when I've deleted files out of the folder within Bridge, they have somehow made it into the final gallery. I know I am moving them to trash as opposed to rejecting them, and I get the notification bump that they are moved to trash. Yet somehow when I rename and upload the folder to my platform, the files that have been moved to the trash still end up within the folder. Hoping y'all can help resolve this issue!Thank you!
