Colorspace workflows not functioning in latest AE beta, works fine in standard AE. Using the OCIO colorspace transform plugin to change footage colorspaces has no effect. Same for any adjustments in the color management area of the project settings.

If a text layer contains multiple justifications on different layers, editing text using character range can cause justification to incorrectly change. Steps to reproduce:1. Open justifyText.aep and have Comp 1 open and active.2. File > Run Script....run justifyText script. Script output:"top line justify = 7413 next line was = 7414changing text to = *1234*top line justify now = 7414 next line now = 7414"While the (0,5) character range covers a single justification setting across the top line of text,changing the text (still 4 characters plus return) causes it to adopt the justification of the next line.3. Undo the text change or Revert Project, comment out line 10 of script and try again with lines 11 then 12Script output:"top line justify = 7413 next line was = 7414changing text to = *234*top line justify now = 7413 next line now = 7413"Result: This time, the change seems to cause the second line to adopt the first line's justification. Expected Result: Justificatio

Either I'm missing something or Kerning doesn't appear to work properly with character range queries. It mostly seems to return undefined, even for a character range of a single character. It's potentially important to check if kerning has been manually altered to be able to take steps to preserve that kerning during a scripted edit. autoKernType seems to work as expected, only returning undefined on mixed autoKernTypes in a single text layer, it's just kerning that does. Makes it impossible to query in any useful way. 1. Create a comp, a text layer with some text, set to Metrics. Run attached kerntest script and you get:autoKern all = Metrics first char = Metricskerning all = undefined first char = undefined Kerning should be returning 0 in both cases (the scripting docs say so too) 2.  AE project that worked and was saved with no issues after re-opening seems to be damaged. Some layers are lost (shows both in AE 2024 and Beta).Is it related to Illustrator, Photoshop or Overlord plugin I don't know but posting here for devs information.

Plugin Premiere Pro Import: Unknown error. (5027::12)  After the last upgrade 24.5.0 (Build 4) now I can't import any premiere pro composition to after effects

With a couple of the latest releases, I have noticed my Mac is running out of memory when working in AE for a while (usually less than hour).Nothing out of ordinary - Simple few 4K layers compositing with Mocha AE masks, tracking with multiple keyframes, blur and grain FX.I am getting a low RAM memory warning too often or freezing and prompt: "Your system has run out of application memory".At this stage AE freezes and saving your work may not possible.Memory problem has never been an issue with any other AE versions. Prores 4444 original.No 3rd party plugins.OCIO color management with ACES.

hello, i might've found a bug that makes multiple 3rd party scripts unusable. I've found the issue with a script that lets me interpolate short clips and automatically replace them in my timeline. The script has 3 tabs of which the most important one - the settings tab - is just blank on the new beta UI. Ive got 3 pictures to make things more clear. This 1st picture shows the normal panel of the script (Ae beta 2024-03-26)A very basic script (the 2nd tab works too). This is how the script looks after clicking on the settings panel (Ae beta 2024-03-26): As you can see, its just fully blank. No respond on any clicking or anything, just empty. And this is how its supposed to look like (Ae stable 24.2.1)This settings tab has got even more stuff as you scroll down the panel.I tried out multiple different settings in my preferences but it really just doesnt seem to work. Hope this can be fixed, i love the new UI and the performance with it.   

The bounding box of a 3d object is visible in the rendered video if the object is not moving.

Plugin / Script panels buttons are glitchy a bit in the newest beta.It's like round bevels and light grey colour is enforced on the buttons.The picture below: left: AE 2024, right: AE Beta 

When you change the name of any element in the Project window (folder, file, composition, ...) it automatically slides to the very bottom of the window. This is counterproductive and requires scrolling back to the element with changed name. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or?Please see the the weird behaviour in the following video:https://streamable.com/cu2whs

Steps to reproduce:    1. After tracking with AE's native point tracker, press the grave/tilde key with mouse over the timeline panel to maximize it    2. Turn off animation for one of the keyframed tracking parameters or paste keyframes from one tracker's  parameters to another. Result: Timeline panel pops back down to its normal sizeExpected: I can work in the expanded view System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v24.4.0.23    OS: Windows v10.0.19045, RAM: 31.85 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 12

Usually when in an active composition, you'd see that composition highlighted with a box, but now I just see the flow and feel very unsure of which composition I'm in. I use this to navigate through precomps so it must be retained from the pre-spectrum design update. Thanks

May also be present in release version haven't checked.Swapping colors on the Gradient Ramp fx clamps any value above/below 0-1.0 float losing the origianl value. Tested in 24.4.0 build 16.

Pop up window showed up never to go away. When pressing Esc key the window flicker but stayed on the screen until crashed and closed AE.

I'm using (an older version of) Trapcode Particular to create some stars forming a logo. I've coloured the particles from a gradient ramp with completely normal (not over 1,1,1) colours, which range from a light cyan to white - no yellow at all. Weirdly, one clump of particles (I have no other effects on the layer other than Particular) renders as yellow, and if I look at its RGB values, the blue is "nan", which I've never seen before. My project is 32 bit, set to "Adobe Color Managed" (I also tried some of the OCIO options, but it made no difference to the Area of Weirdness):If I drop the comp into my PPro timeline, the Area of Weirdness appears as a black dot:If I change the project to 8bpc, the issue goes away. But my glows and sparkles aren't as nice. Odd.

After working for usually 15-20 minutes on a project in the Beta, it suddenly hangs for no apparent reason, even if I am not actually doing anything at that point in time, and that's it, the only way out  is via Task Manager and the big red switch, loosing any work you may not have saved in the interim period. There is no apparent pattern as to what I may have been doing immediately before, but just maybe it has to do with resizing a control, typically a Shape, which does seem to fit  my occurences quite well ?. W10 Pro, 16Gb Ram, I7 processor, GTX 980 GPU. 

Whenever I double click a text layer to edit, it just makes the same "popping" sound you hear whenever a some function can't be executed. I don't have this issue with non-beta version

I'm running the latest version of Ae Beta.  GLB Imports fine into Blender. Keep getting Blue Box with Send to Ae feature in Painter.  Send to Ae configuration shown in screenshot.

I'm using AE Beta 24.2.0x66.I'm currently waiting for some tracking to complete on a ~30sec clip. The track points have gone way off, but there's no way to cancel the tracking, regardless of what I press/click. Clicking the 'stop' icon in the Tracker panel does nothing, hitting Esc does nothing...AE is completely unresponsive, but is continuing to do the track (even though the track points are totally useless).

I am unable to use Warp Stabilizer.  It hangs up while Initializing.  System info    Application: After Effects (Beta) v24.0.0.17    OS: macOS v13.3.1, RAM: 32.00 GB GB, CPUs (logical): 10

This is easier to explain with an example:I have a text layer. I want this layer to be matted by TWO layers; Circle Matte AND Rectangle Matte. So I set the Text layer's track matte to the Circle Matte and I set the Circle Matte's track matte to Rectangle Matte:If we look at Circle Matte on its own, we see that it's been successfully matted by the rectangle:...so you'd think that if I then set the Text layer's matte to this, we'd only see the area within that semicircle, but no, we get this:The text is only matted by the circle and the fact that the circle has been matted by the rectangle is ignored. I've tried using both luma and alpha mattes, but it makes no difference. I'm fairly sure that when the Track Matte pickwhip system was introduced, Adobe said we could have "mattes of mattes" or something....this clearly isn't the case. Any chance of this bug being fixed? I'm on AE Beta 24.3.0x23, but it's been like this for ages. 

Since version 24 I can't import 3D objects ot use the Mercury engine anymore.Getting this error message and the screen turns black.After Effects (Beta) error: internal verification failure, sorry! {unexpected match name searched for in group} ( 29 :: 0 )Any ideas?
