I am having this issue in Audition where when I start a new waveform recording, it lags and doesnt record any audio. I will record for 10 seconds and when I stop recording, it is now only 1 second long and no audio has been recorded. I have researched for the past hour and found nobody who has had this issue. I know its not my computer because I can have multiple Adobe programs running at the same time with no lag. Its only in audition. I need to get this fixed ASAP and any help will be much appreciated! After installing Adobe Audition on my Win11 system, I am unable to record audio properly. When I press the R key, the green audio bar jumps slowly. Once I start recording, the cursor doesn't move smoothly but jumps instead. There is also almost no waveform in the red progress bar, it's almost blank. I tried to record the screen using a screen recording software, and I found that once Audition starts recording, my screen recording software also can't record any sound. However, when I stop recording in Audition, my screen recording software can then record sound again. I'm sure that my system audio settings are correct. My computer is a ROG ZEPHYRUS 16 2024 with WIN11, it's a brand new factory system with high configuration. AU is the best software I've ever used and it's very important for my work. I am unable to use Export > File to export an MP3 from waveform view after exporting a Multitrack session (Multitrack > Mixdown Session to New File > Entire Session).- Issue was occurring on 24.0.3 so I uninstalled Audition and installed the previous version (23.6.2.4), but that did not solve the issue.- I can export WAV files with the same destination but not MP3s from an unsaved Multitrack Export. Workaround was to export WAVs then import the exported file into the Batch Process Window, but even that fails now.- Issue occurs when using iZotope's Ozone or Neutron (one of them, not sure which specific VST plug-in) in the Effects Rack in Multitrack, whether for track or clip. Bypassing effect or disabling effects does not prevent the problem, need to remove the effect completely in order to avoid this issue. Once the rack is cleared the issue no longer persists. Settings for the Center Channel Extractor effect are not saved when you save you project.  Re-opening the project shows that affect has reset to defaults.  My work around is to save a preset with my settings and each time I open my project I need to remember to re-apply my preset.  I was fine with this workaround until I now have need to use Center Channel Extractor on 10 Tracks.  So, how I have 10 presets for that effect and every time I open my project I have to go through and set my presets for that effect for the 10 Tracks.

Hey Guys n Galsi been having this problem where " Error 1 creating file. The destination may be full or no longer available " pop up after my sessions on Audition. I was wondering what the issue could be? or how i can go about solving it, any help would be grateful, thanks 

I primarily use Premiere Pro and Audition for my job and a few days ago I updated both apps and I'm having issues with both of them. In regards to Audition (v 24.0.3.3) as well as the Beta, I am seeing clicking in the waveforms throughout my audio tracks. Those didn't originate in the recording but they show up when adding them into an Audition session. They are random on all of my audio tracks and throughout the audio file. How should I go about trouble shooting this?  I fear that there is a setting that is somehow configured incorrectly after the update. Or is it a driver issue? It definitely seems like an issue with my computer not being able to process or write data in the DAW and it's adding these clicks when it glitches. After going between formats, the bitrate in the export settings dialog defaults to 256kbps when the previous selection was 192kbps.

I have done everything to turn off auto playback and it turns back on as soon as I pause the session. I edit voice overs so I pause A LOT. and i have had entire sections of my audio deleted because I was trying to select while playing and it dragged my selection because of auto playback. Please tell me there is some way to permanently turn this off.

I have several tracks playing in the Multitrack Editor with an Effects Rack comprising of EQ, Dynamics Processing, Auto-Tune, and Convolution Reverb. Playback as is appears to be fine. However, when trying choosing Mixdown Session To New File (Selected Clips) or Bounce To New Track will create a few artifacts in the new mixdown file. If I turn off the Effects Rack and do the mixdown, there are no artifacts. I tried clicking the Pre-render Track and it's the same option. The work around is to not use the Effects Rack but process each track with the desired effects permanently and then create the mixdown file again. Anyone know why this is happening? Is there a way to fix this bug so I can still Mixdown session with the Effects Rack in use?

When I save my multi track session, some of the files are going out of sync.I am having to go back and nudge everything back to where it originally was placed.It looks like the audio has moved like 0.2 of a second within some of the files.I am going to go back and re-load Audition version 23.1Does anyone else have this issue ?

After exporting some files in a 5.1 mixing into an Mp3 stereo file, in Adobe Audition 24.0.3.3, the mixdown file's amplitude reduces by about 7 or 9 db! 

I've been using Audition for nearly a year without fail for my intro to voiceover work, mainly recording and teaching myslef how to edit and set up. About 4 or 5 months ago, due to an addition to our family, I had to take down my booth and stop. I got everything back up and running about 30 days (or so) ago, recorded acouple of time without any issues, haven't had much booth time. Now all of a sudden, yesterday, I go in to the booth and my recordings are bork. I can get a good 5ish seconds of recording but the the app just spazzes out, picks up a half second here and there of audio. Hello, I use Adobe Audition to mix my microphone audio live, but when I start Audition with my preset recording is enabled, but Monitor input is toggled off. That makes problems, I didn't have this issue on the older versions. How can I do that? Thanks for help.

Suppose to be a issue.The zoom in shortcut on the menu says * sign, on the zoom panel says + sign and in waveform neither of them work. 

I'm one of the IT guys at my company, and a user reached out reporting that Adobe Audition is crashing constantly. I replaced their computer recently and they just tried using Audition as of last week, but it's crashing as soon as they open the applicaiton. The user has tried versions 24.03, 24.0, 23.6.2, and 23.0 to no avail. I've attached the crash log that they sent me. 

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help, At times when I'm recording sound in Audtion the sound clips a lot and then is distorted, I don't know why audition does this, The only way to fix it to me is to uninstall audition and then reinstall it and it's now getting tiresome to do that every other day or week, If someone could help me then that would be amazing 🙂

I have uninstalled the latest version and reinstalled it. I have uninstalled it and installed an older version - tried 3 versions, and no matter what I do, it crashes upon open. Funny how you add a crash file to my desktop when it happens but I cant attach it - as its not an allowed file type. But you created it, so how is it not..  anyways, I NEED this to work as I use this for my job.

After the update to 24, media browser now scrolls at slowest speed when using a mouse scroll wheel, all other areas have acceleration.

I noticed a few months ago a new issue appeared post-update where some VST/3 effects simply refuse to work when rendering/applying in the Waveform editor. So far I'm seeing this with some Soundtoys plugins like EchoBoy, and some iZotope plugins like Neutron 4. Sometimes the effects will work on a second try, as if I had to "activate" it or something. In the case of EchoBoy, it just flat out refuses to render. Yes I have the license activated. Everything seems to work fine in realtime and in Multitrack, and they print as expected when downmixing/exporting. But in waveform view when editing destructively, its as if certain effects are just being ignored when hitting apply, with seemingly no rhyme or reason outside being third party (have not yet seen the issue with stock effects). I've noticed overall Audition has become incredibly unstable since the clip marker update. With many of these issues, I just have to restart the program. But here nothing has worked. I am not sure what els

I am a volunteer at a community radio station and it is my task to receive and process all recorded programs submitted by volunteer Presenters.  Over some 15 years I have seen the following "bug" on CoolEdit, Audio 1.5, Audition 3.0 and Audition 3.1 totally screwing up otherwise perfectly good audio recordings! I come across this bug about once or twice a year max.  And it has occured on multiple different Windows pcs variously running Windows XP, 2000, 7 and now 10! The effect of this "bug" is that after some minutes of correct recording and playback, the audio suddenly gets screwed up with a short snatch of audio repeating over and over again.  Initially the waveform gives no clue that a problem exists, but saving the file (without saving the .pk file) and re-opening it again immediately shows the problem on the rebuilt waveform display.. [My understanding is that Audition was designed to handle long audio recordings by creating short temporary clips which wh

I'm running a project where I recorded some ambisonic recordings using the Rode NT-SF1 mic. I did manage to make it work in Audition with Soundfield plugin by RODE by separating the tracks into separate channels, sending them to a 5.1 bus where the Soundfield plugin lives. I went through my ~ 25 or so recordings, adding EQ, rotating the soundfield accordingly etc, and now i went to render them separately as 5.1, and Audition just crashes upon clicking the export button. No warning, no error message, nothing! I tried over and over again to get it to work, changing all export settings, but the only solution is to actually remove the Soundfield plugin from the project. I've spent over 6 hours perfecting the automations and EQ, and it looks like everything was for nothing.  In Ableton & FL Studio the soundfield plugin works without any issues. I could not find any other posts about this, but is there anyone out there having a solution to this?
