I am working on sound bites, modifying the PITCH and STRETCH using the supplied Effects (process) plugins. What's happening is that Audition is not saving these changes correctly. That is, I apply the effect, verify it's what I want, SAVE the file. I go to listen to the file, edits are there, but the effects are not what I ordered -- they are a bit faster. This is a bug, I can reproduce this each time, even after restarting the application. This is on MacOS Monterey (up to date with patches).
When I route any track via a bus before hitting the final mix bus (I.e. VO -> Dialogue Bus -> Main mix, rather than VO -> Main mix), all plugins on the source channel meter audio about 2 seconds before the playhead passes over the clip. This happens regardless of buffer size and project. This also happens regardless of the plugin, if it's a stock EQ or plugin from any 3rd party developer. It makes it very difficult to mix anything in realtime that's routed through several buses... I can't imagine this would be by design or useful in any situation, thus I assume it's a bug... Please help!
Hi all. Editing a long five-track podcast. Loaded up the file this morning and one of my tracks randomly stops playing the audio, even though the waveform is clearly there (And was working yesterday as I was editing it).I can SEE the waveform, but no sound plays. Also, earlier in the track, the audio plays just fine.Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix? Can provide more screenshots if that helps. Audio outputs seem ok as I can hear all the other tracks, just this one, after a certain point in the session.Thank you
I reported this issue a year ago. I've seen others complain about this issue, too, but I do understand that it only affects some hardware systems (mine included, unfortunately). This occures from 4 different scenarios; (1) after opening any project, the first time I play a multitrack, the audio (all tracks) will cut-out after about 7 seconds. It looks like audio should still be generated (levels are bouncing around) but there is only silence. If I stop playback and re-start playback it continues playing as expected without the interruption (except for the other scenarios) (2) After a few hours of use, audio will cut-out. Again, it looks like audio should be coming out (levels are bouncing around) but no audio. In this case, the only recourse is to re-start Audition. (3) if looping playback, audio will cut-out after some number of loops. The tighter the loop, the faster the cut-out will occur. For instance, if I'm looping over 2 seconds, I
I'm aware of the issue that auto-recovery will pick a backup that was not your latest backup (and therefore, you loose work). But I've never had that issue because I've never seen auto-recovery actually succeed at all, ever. You get that? That's a 100% failure rate. Any time I've ever attempted to utilize the auto-recovered session, the recovery process ends with an error dialog which list files which could not be found and the list then contains every wav file that is part of my project. I've been working with Audition for 2 years now and never once has that feature succeeded. But, since others complain that success ends up with an old session, I conclude that it must be successful for other people. So, I'm just wondering how many other users out there experience that auto-recovery failing to find any of your wav files?
Hello, I'm running a 2023 Macbook pro with Audtion 2024. I created a project with recorded audio files and exported a mixed MP3 to use for a podcast. (everything went fine) The IssueI needed to make a few edits to the project and it will not play sound. I have the file saved in two different locations. (desk top and external hard drive). Neither location will play sound. The imported files that are a part of the project will not play either. However, other auditon project will play without issue. What I've done to trouble shoot. Updated auditionrestarted computertried to use a back up from projectchecked audio hardware preferenceschecked computer soundtested different projects (sound worked)
Hi, after exporting my project, my .wav file is clear for the first 7 minutes or so and then I get extreme brown noise. If I export a time selection anywhere in the project- same thing, first 7 minutes are clean and then the "jet engine!" I've removed all third party plugins and pre-rendered all tracks. Help appreciated.
File displays waveform, but plays silence.mac OS 12.4, Audition 23.3This has happened a few times, and I'm at a loss as to "why."A student records a podcast on my SD MixPre. Copies the file onto an external hard drive for editing. Imports the file into Audition. Uses it to create a multitrack session. Edits the podcast. Saves, exits, hands me the hard drive. When I open their multitrack session in Audition, I can see the file(s) on the timeline. They clearly have waveforms, good levels, should definitely have audio. But when I play it, there is only silence. Nothing moving on the meters, either on the individual track(s) or the main output. If I double click one of the files on the timeline, or from the Media bin, it opens in the waveform editor. Again, the waveform is there, but when played, only silence. No flicker whatsoever on the meters.Using "reveal in Finder," it shows the file on the hard drive in a subfolder called "Imported Media." If I preview that file, or open it in other m
Hello, I am unable to export a sesx multitrack session into an OMF file. Always fails and says 'unable to open a required file'.I am editing multiple episode of an audio play and the 1st and 3rd episodes worked just fine but the 2nd is the one that refuses to work. I tried exporting the OMF as referenced as well as encapsulated. All my files are located in the same folder on the same drive. I even split the project in half and tried exporting the first and then the second half and both failed as well. Wonder what I am missing here. Thanks,Bjorn
I am mixing a song in Audition and I recently obtained antares unlimited. It allows me to use the plugins via VST3 and I have applied Auto Tune Pro to the mix and have tuned the mix to my liking. When playing back the mix I can hear the auto tune working as intended and sounding great but as soon as I export the mix the auto tune does not export with it. Every other effect is exporting but not antares auto tune pro. Hoping someone one here may have a solution for this
Hey everyone!I've recently updated to the latest version of Audition, but I noticed that since the update my backup's don't seem to be working.I lost all my edits on a multitrack yesterday after a crash. Usually I would go into the backup's folder and open up the newest version, and that would only set me back by a little bit. But in this instance, there was only one backup which was made right at the start of the session. The file itself had reverted to the same state as that backup, despite having manually saved multiple times throughout. So I'm not really sure what has gone on here. Could anyone shine a light on the issue, and if I have the incorrect settings or something? Here's what my current backup/autosave settings look like. I have plenty of memory space left, so that shouldn't be the issue. Also I'm working on another multitrack today and I've been keeping an eye on the backup folder to see if any are being made, and it looks like I'm having the same issue. I've also t
Hi guys!Brand new user and subscriber here on the Adobe suite so bare with me 🙂 I installed Audition 2024, bought and installed my e-Retrovox VST plugin, located in the proper directory for Audition to scan and detect but no luck. It won't show up on the list. Even if the plugin isn't working with Audition it would be listed but stated as not working..Am I missing something? The installation is on a Macbook Air M2Plugin is compatible with Apple Sillicon from the product page it says it runs on Apple Silicon with Rosetta. https://www.nomadfactory.com/products/p758-E-RetroVox/
For the past week (not sure if this is related to version 23.5) on My Windows 11 computer, I can't scroll to zoom in and out. If I try once, nothing happens. If I try a second or 3rd time in rapid succession, it DOES zoom in - sorta. But not as much as I need and the delay from the execution of the scroll action and the zoom is super laggy. It works perfectly fine on my Macbook Air. And the mouse here in the studio with the Windows desktop, my mouse's scrollwheel works perfectly for every other application - scrolling to zoom in Reaper, ctrl+scroll to zoom in Camtasia, and just general page scrolling. NO latency or trouble. It is ONLY in Adobe Audition. Anyone else had this problem and/or maybe have a suggestion for how to fix this?
Audition 24.0.0.4613 Gen i7 2.4GHz - 16GB of RAMWindows 11 Home 22H2Microphone - AnkerWork M650 Wireless Mic (via USB-C)Setup: Recording Stero for voice on a multi-track session. Problem: After hitting the record button, the recording freezes, meaning that nothing moves on the screen or any audio is recorded. You can still hit the stop button, which still takes about 10 seconds to recover before the rest of the app is available for user input again. Workaround found: The default when plugging in the mic is for Audition to use the "Clock" on the AnkerWork M650, however, this needs to be changed to the internal sound device for it to work. In addition, the "Signal Enhancement" feature in the Windows 11 settings for the device needs to be turned off (see screenshot.) This is a brand-new notebook and I did not have this issue on my old laptop with the same recording and software setup. If there is a way to not automatically swi
As mentioned in the topic. I was working in multitrack for several hours and by the end of my work Audition crahed (as it does quite often!). After restarting it the dialog box appeared asking me if I want to recover last session so I clicked yes. But then I got just blank multisession. So I went to backup folder and was quite surprised because there were just 4 files. And my autosave options are to save every 3 minutes and 10 files max.The I opened all 4 backup files and all of them where just empty multitrack sessions.Shame on you Adobe!
Hi there, I've been looking around and haven't found an answer to this problem, maybe because it is a difficult one to search up an answer to.I use Audition for editing interviews, and I spend a lot of time editing out 'ums' and 'ehs', making quite intricate little edits to make the whole conversation flow smoother. I also use little bits of studio noise or atmos to make sure there are no rough cuts, to transition cleanly and mask the cuts. The result is a busy looking project file with lots of cuts. But I've had an issue recently - often I'm halfway done doing my 'refined edit' (which I might call "Interview_Edit") When I reopen the Interview_Edit project file, I find that my edits are slightly off - every little edit i've done seems to be slightly off by maybe half a second, parts of the "ums" and "ehs" are back, and if I haven't exported it already I have to go through the whole thing again to painstakingly fix it. I've been using Audition 2023 and have tried t
Audition v 24.0Windows 11Whenever I click save in Audition, it shifts all my audio around.I was editing and cutting pieces and putting them together in the Multitrack, and I hit save under the file menu (not save as), and once I had done so, it shifted all my audio pieces around so they started way earlier than the original clip had. This issue did not occur when I clicked save as. I expected my work to save, instead it shifted the audio to earlier in the clip, but kept the length of my cut clips.
Hi! I want to make a complaint or raise an issue – Adobe crashed and deleted all my work on an .sesx file and replaced it with a much earlier back up. I manually save very frequently. This has happened before, and (with no help from the Adobe team) I realised that if I just reopened the file, my saved changes would reappear. This didn't happen this time, and I can only find old backups. This is a major problem and a huge issue when working on time-sensitive podcast projects. You can see I previously asked the community about the same problem. At the time, Adobe support staff struggled to understand the issue or offer relevant suggestions, and told me the work was completely lost. In that instance, it turned out to be salvageable (as you'd expect when you're manually saving after every second cut or clip adjustment). But clearly this isn't always the case, and it isn't sustainable.
I have a handfull of outstanding bugs that I've reported over the last year (non solved) and one of them is that the Center Channel Extractor, used in a track of a multitrack session, won't save your custom settings. When you re-open your project, the settings to made are lost and it's back to defaults. So, I used Notepad++ to open the "Audition Log.txt" file and set Notepad++'s View->Monitoring on. This makes Notepad++ show any new lines that have been added to the file as they are added. Normally, when I open my project I have to go to each of 8 tracks to open the Center Channel Exctracter effect and then apply Presets that I've made with my custom changes. But as soon as I did that, I saw error logs generated. In fact, you can set the effect back to default settings and make any adjustment to any of the controls and cause the error messages to be generated, below is an example: Ticks = 2605016 <19556> <AdamEveAudioFilterEditorView
I am editing audio in Audition and the DeNoise effect has been an immense help, when I go to open it nothing happens. The editing window for that effect doesn't even open, it's not hidden on the screen anywhere either. Has anyone else had this issue?
Every time I utilize the auto duck feature in Audition in essential sound, it works great the first time around. However if I ever have to re-open that file, half of the tracks marked for ducking no longer do it. The tracks will play at full volume despite having the dotted line and all the settings marked correct. I end up having to adjust the duck amount in the essential sound to get it to kick back in. In addition, some of those tracks will simply not recognize the tracks they're ducking against. I have to go in and manually insert key frames across my file which completely defeats the purpose of the ducking.
with the newest update, the untitled files are no longer in the box to the left. I used that function for work. Any idea if they are still available and how to find them?thanks!
I've reported this bug almost a year ago and I've received several updates and this bug is still not addressed. If you add the Center Channel Extractor effor to a track in a Multitrack, your custom changes won't be saved.Even though you save your project, re-opening your project finds that the Center Channel Extractor effect has reverted back to its default settings. My only recorse is to save my settings as a Preset and re-apply that preset each time I re-open the project. That wouldn't be too bad but I have 12 tracks that use it and it's a pain to go through them to re-apply each of thier individual presets to them.
I've reported on this one about a year ago and, since it's still not fixed, I thought I'd throw it out there one more time. I'd like to have someone else test if they see this too and report back. In multitrack, if you add the Center Channel Extractor effect to a track and give it some custom adjuments and then save and close the project, then re-open the project, those custom adjustments to the Center Channel Extractor are reverted back to the default settings. My recourse is to save my desired settings as a Preset and the re-applyl that Preset every time I re-open the project. But, I have about 12 tracks that use that effect so I have to re-apply each custom Preset to each Tracks's effects, which is a real pain.
